Hi! So glad I found your channel tonight. Loved your video. Waving hi from across the ditch, Sandra in NZ 👋
Hello there Sandra!
I love using napkins. I like your method of making the card also. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
Thank you! Bought some lovely European napkins for card making!
Wonderful!
I've made napkin cards but with an iron and plastic wrap. I'll have to try your method.

LOVE the napkins, especially the Kuala and Kangaroo paper! My daughter lives in Brisbane, will tell her to look out for them.
I got it online from lalalandshop.com.au but I am not sure that design is still available. Good Luck.

QUESTION Hi Judy. I stumbled onto your video, stayed, watched and have become your newest subscriber. I was wondering if it is necessary to separate the layers since you are usimg a paper towel, dampening the lot and embossing? Thanks so much. 🤐🇨🇦
Hi Brendaelaine, thank you for subscribing. I found that the layers stayed together much better when separated and put back together. I do not know why, but it made the bond more secure for some reason.
ive been looking for that sort of design everywhere
Glad I could help Tia.
I've made cards with napkins but always used spray glue. I'll give this technique a go as the smell of that glue would suffocate me if I used it too much.
Hope you find this method useful to you. I hate the smell of strong glues and paints so I try to avoid them as much as possible.
I really need this napkin in my stash, lol!
I got it online from lalalandshop.com.au but I am not sure that design is still available. Good Luck.
@@judywest-thepaintingnana9434 thanks
Do they come apart with time? Like others said, I’ve always used glue/modge Podge. I’d be worried they would come apart later on. ❤️🇦🇺
I only came across this method at then end of last year so my cards have held together so far. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Could you give measurements
The measurements depend on the size of the design on the napkin Kathy that you want to use. If the napkin design is 4 1/2" (11.5cm) square them the pink section will be 4 3/4" (12cm) square and the card front will be 5" (12.5cm) square which makes the card 5" x 10" (12.5cm x 25cm) when open. I just add 1/4" (.5cm) as I go up or down a layer.
Can you not just leave the napkin plies together, add the paper towel to the back, then spray it and emboss it?
Try both and let me know what you think. I felt they bonded better if they were separated first.
Such a great idea!! Yes, which shop did you find the napkins in??
lalalandshop.com.au/
What are the dimensions of your card? 4x4? American measurements please.
I made it big enough to get most of the design from the napkin. Depending on the size of the napkin you have, will depend on the card size. It is a square card though. Also consider what size border you want around the edge and if you want another layer between the napkin and the card showing through. I think mine was about 6 x 6 as the design was quite large. I have given it away now so do not have it to measure Charlene.
