I use a clear sealer inside and out to prevent water from seeping into the terracotta and lifting the paint and napkins from the surface. The pot is then no longer porous and is more suitable for indoor use or display. It depends which country you are in what clear sealer you use.

In Australia we call it Double Sided Adhesive tape. Not sure what it is called else where. It comes in many different widths.

It does make the page more stable but I originally did it to mark which pages I had decorated. Also some pages tore when I repeatedly turned to them to show people so the tape protected the edges from tearing also.

I use at least 210 gsm but it does not matter what you use. The thicker the more sturdy the card, but if you are adding layers of card then that makes the card sturdier anyway. If they are to be kept then you want them sturdy, but if people are just receiving them and then throwing them away later it does not matter how sturdy they are.

Mod Podge is a glue, sealer and varnish in one, which is perfect for decoupage and other arts and crafts. With Mod Podge you can glue your project, varnish the surface and at the same time provide a protective coating (sealing). This makes Mod Podge great for all kinds of projects. There are a number of different types of Mod Podge for different sorts of jobs eg for fabric so it is washable etc.

You can do it! It is fun to try new things. I am always scouring RUclips for something new or a new twist on an old craft.

I am using a soft bristle brush and am very careful as the napkin is fragile when wet. The glue is watered down so that it is less likely to tear the napkin. If there are wrinkles do not try to push them out as this will tear the napkin, you need to leave them there. I am not sure what else to tell you. Good luck Chris.

Although I believe I have seen other youtubers do that, I have never found it necessary for watercolour, as long as you do not get the pages too wet that they tear.

Watered down Mod Podge would seal it. Some decoupage pastes would do the same thing if not too thick. Clear adhesive vinyl would also seal it. I have not had too many people touching them with wet hands to have it as a problem so I have never sealed any napkin cards cards.

If I want a rough finish I peal the layers off the napkin and wet a paintbrush and draw a line on the napkin and tear. If I want a straight cut I use scissors and do not peal the layers off until I have finished cutting.

I am in Australia and some of the scrap booking shops stock it.

I have not done a video about that but I will certainly consider doing one in the future Anne, that is a good idea.
