Evidence of Aaliyah’s LIVE vocal range, including, live acapellas, radio interviews & live recordings. Here you will see the many vocal acrobatics and possibilities of Aaliyah’s voice, from her full chest voice (which at times can be very well controlled, *see D3! “4 Page Letter HOT.97 LIVE)”, Her dynamic mixed voice (*see E♭5! & F5! “The One I Gave My Heart To (THE KEENEN IVORY WAYANS SHOW LIVE)”, and her incredible and flexible high notes (*see A5 "Never Coming Back, 1997 Superfest Concert") Aaliyah’s live vocals is proof just how flexible and strong her voice truly is, she has an amazing vibrato, ever changing melismas, vocal riffs and runs and was known for her incredible head tones, harmonies and brilliant “Deep” low notes.
! = Significant vocals (vocal resonance, supported vocals and vocal extremes for the listed singer, and in the case of Aaliyah the color is RED)
    Voice type, Soprano

You can clearly hear that aaliyah never sang with her full range voice and ability. I always knew ,she push down her voice because R'n'B was Different back then than now. Rnb vocals werent that powerful in the 90 .Beyonce and kelly Rowland also sang much softer back then

The 1st C3 was so easy for her. SO many female vocalist STRUGGLE to even touch the note. And she effortlessly slid down to it.
The Eb3/C#3 was so full and resonant.
4:09 - 4:24 - The effortless transition of registers. From light and head voice-like to full lower chest.
15:47 - 15:51 - I remember seeing this performance and thinking, "she's an angel." She looked just like an angel.

Liyah slayin the national anthem when they said she had no voice. But yet, one of the hardest songs to sing she was strong clear, and resonant (that B4 was sustained and RESONANT AF!! and the vibrato).
Her live rendition of "Ave Maria" was another testament to people who said she was a weak vocalist, meanwhile she's classically slayin "Ave Maria" better than her peers, now, and even still till today.
"Journey to the Past" another testament to her vocal ability. STRONG AND RESONANT AF! 17:16 - 17:57.
Yes for the live studio recording of "Journey to the Past," snatchin wigs effortlessly.
    18:25 - 18:31 - Flawless register transition and all in one-breath.
18:38 - 18:44 - When will they? Effortless mixed voice.
    19:37 - 19:41 & 19:50 - 20:09, & 21:09 - 21:23 When they said she couldn't belt | when they said she couldn't belt high. *waits for the rebuttal)
26:46 - 26:49 - Always loved this head voice run.
    28:04 - 28:11 - Another favorite head voice run.
    28:15 - 28:18 - SANG! On they necks!
    Easy Soprano HIgh C.
Her "Rock The Boat" Behind the scenes was/is everything. I cried so much watching it. She was so humble, beautiful, and has such a great bubbly humorous personality. Aaliyah's scenes with Eric Forman were my favorite. They were so funny.
