Coming to competition long cycle from hard style, the hardest thing is to retrain yourself in the breathing pattern and movement dynamics. Thanks for the clear explanations.
She can go forever💪🤗 Impressing with 2x 16kgs💪. I think that leaning back looks strainious on the back, but I'm sure you build up that strength and technique 🤗
Competition KBs are wider. How tall must you be to comfortably swing 2 competition KBs at the same time between your legs and still keep a strong stance?
Kettlebell shoes with separate heels; any brands to recommend? It doesn't seem most shoe brands advertise based on whether their lifting shoe heel is continuous with the sole.
Hi. Does the this particular drill put a lot of strain on your knees? I used to do RKC style KBs but stopped because it was irritating a tear in my left knee. I believe that it was the "jerkiness" that was causing the irritation.
Hi Patrick, thanks for your question. No, if done correctly, it does not put any additional strain. We would be glad to answer any questions you have at info@kettlebellkings.com
Only if you try to do something stupid like me... I did a half mile farmers walk with 2x32kg, then I did some swings, cleans, thrusters, and went to finish with a double 32kg rack squats... I felt great but didn't realize how much was actually taken out of me... I nearly got myself stuck in the back of a local Target parking lot on my first squat...About half way down my legs completely gave out forcing me to immediately fight back to a point where I could swing the bells back down again. Albeit, in haphazard fashion. I normal perofrmed my farmers walks at the end of my workouts for this reason, but I was trying for a PR farmers walk and wante do it fresh. Anyhow, my right knee tweeked a ilttle in the effort, but nothin bad. I must have looked like a complete clown... But I'm getting so much stronger doing these warrior walks... An old lady chased me down one day asking me "How much farther are going to go on caring those things?" I said "Another mile or 2, then I will chain them to something and pick them up later with my truck."
I notice here on the back swing she goes pinky fingers in and thumbs forward. Is this preference or best? It seems to be more efficient yet personally when I do it this way with heavier weights I feel it in my biceps. Any advice appreciated
Hi! Well, cleaning the bells with your thumbs facing forwards is how you usually learn the clean in the beginning, simply because if some this way it is simpler. It is not as less efficient as one would expect, but, as you go further into your training, it is reasonable to rotate the thumbs back during the backswing to dissipate a little bit more energy and release your forearms. In both cases, biceps should not be working because the fulcrum of the pendulum should be in the shoulder joint and arms should be straight and when you pull the bells towards you, you actually use your body weight to get leverage and very little work is required from your arms.
If you’re tall then thumbs back/in is fine, but when thumbs are for see your knees don’t have to do as wide to allow the bells to pass through, so it’s a little more beneficial for shorter people. Overall, it comes down to personal preference and what’s most comfortable and efficient for you
It most likely has to do with hand insertion and wrist position. This should help: www.kettlebellkings.com/blog/kettlebell-technique-hand-insertion-wrist-position/
How did it work out Keinath? I have the same problem but I was thinking it was because CAP Kettlebells have a handle hole (gap between handle and body) that is too small.
the long cycle is so satisfying to watch and also perform
Kettlebell kings has the overall best customer service and quality of any kettle bell company I've seen. They are legendary for a reason.
We appreciate the support 💪🏽❤️
I second that!!

Nice technique, well done. Is your belt a bit loose?
Good form, good advice.
Well done, thank you. The advice on wearing a cotton shirt is so obviously true.....but never stated.
Super informative and helpful!
Does a loose belt like this one actually protects anything?
that is really impressive!

How do these girls do this? My forearms get black and blue from holding 16 kg in the rack positions alone. Even without cleaning it.
Is it from holding it or cleaning it?
Kettlebell Kings Holding.

Kettlebell Kings Thank you so much, I'll work on that tomorrow. Long cycle is something I'd love to be able to do.
