I’m sorry to say it but this is a kinda misleading video. Most people searching for a Apple CarPlay don’t have a CarPlay ready system in their car.
Your car already has CarPlay and this dongle just launches CarPlay instantly instead of being the brains of CarPlay in your car...

IS YOUR HEAD UNIT ON YOUR TOYOTA TRUCK OEM OR AFTERMARKET? AND IF IT WAS OEM IS IT JUST PLUG AND PLAY OR THERE WAS SOME OTHER APPS NEEDED TO BE DOWNLOADED TO THE HEAD UNIT.

I have this same dongle- they ONLY work on android based aftermarket car stereos. If your Tundra has such a stereo installed, then yes it should work. I use this everyday and it’s been reliable and perfect for over 2.5 years
