Mother Flames are likely fuel cells created from Vegapunk's researching of the Ancient Giant. The reason he acts like he hasn't "cracked it" yet is because he can't make it permanent like the Ancient Kingdom did, they're one use and likely extremely volitile. This is why Imu needs more.
Vegapunk just needs to use Cola as a fuel source like Franky 😂😅

I assumed that what Vegapunk created wasn't a weapon in itself, but a form of energy source. Like what we saw vaporize lulusia was indeed one of the ancient weapons owned and commaded by Imu, but similar to the iron giant that run out of power, the ancient weapon was in a similar situation, the WGO did have it, but it was out of batteries. Perhaps it required a energy source that was unavailable to them up until now and Imu was only able to use recently because Vegapunk created something that could power it. From what i can tell, its like a one use battery, so they still need the Mother flame to be manefactured in order for the ancient weapon to be used as Imu pleases.

I believe the reason why attacked of what becomes Enies Lobby is that we know that IMU in ancient times was known as St. Imu of Nerona I believe that IMU destroyed their homeland so that IMU could not have any challengers to the throne and anyone that could succeed him as heirs to the throne. The reason why I say this is that Water 7 is based of Venice and Nerona Im's family name is a reference to Verona another city in Italy.
I'm sure someone has already made the connection from the Manhattan Project and Einstein (Vegapunk), and that the satellite of Vegapunk that gave it away was York (Manhattan being in New York City). But since it occurred to me while watching this I thought I'd comment anyway :)
What a great chapter and also goes into how doffy talks about people taking the same problem in different ways with everyone's reactions
Some see the rise as an annoyance like the okama. Some think its nice for fishing looking at the positives even though their house got flooded. Others don't see it like the celestial dragons who are above everything and the last group lost everything to this event. It's amazing world building and shows a lot without saying much.
The Mother Flame is more likely to be an energy source. It's likely Vegapunk's version of the neverending flame that he's trying to recreate.
Keep in mind that Vegapunk doesn't like making weapons directly so it would need a more indirect way of connecting to him. That's why the energy source also makes more sense to his character.

I have always associated “enies” to the welsh word for island “ynys”. Ynys lobby would be lobby island, which makes sense since it leads to marineford and impel down. Check the definition of lobby. If we think of it in the context of an elevator lobby, it could also mean that there is a path from lobby island to get to whats above (artificial sun) or whats below (i cant believe no one has ever wondered what the frick is going on in that hole).
instead of using UFO to visualize ancient weapon (motherflame) you can use laputa's floating castle (from laputa - castle in the sky movie)
cause as oda is so heavily inspired from this movie motherflame is the first similar looking structure shown in one piece, and that castle's ancient power source can also create similar massive explosions

i think whatever used to be where Enies Lobby is now, could've been some kind of ancient technology that was connected to Water 7.
What I find mysterious about Water 7 are these things that are stuck on all the roofs on the island. They remind me of lightning rods. And IF that part about the ancient greek translation was true, and the island used to be some kind of place for ancient ships.. it makes me think of the Skypeans and their head-antenna that have a very similar shape to the lightning rods on the Water 7 roofs. And lightning rods in combination with "ancient ships" makes me think of the Ark Maxim that was powered by lightning! Maybe Enies Lobby used to be a "doc" for SPACE SHIPS that people could use to travel to the moons for example. Or a place where space-ships or air-ships were build.
And maybe the lightning rods at Water 7 were used to collect electric power to fuel those ships? OR they were used as a defense mechanism AGAINST lightning based "attacks"?

I viewed the mother flame, especially coming from Vegapunk, is a power source. None of the other weapons seemed to need a power source, but Shirahoshi can order the sea kings to pull the ark, momonosuke can communicated with Zunesha who had helped to pull pluton to Wano. Imu, if the person paired with the weapon, should be able to communicate with something to activate it or have a way to power it, but is relying on science to recreate a single use power cell instead. I think with Imu's reaction about the Nefetari family that possibly it's actually supposed to be Vivi who controls Ouranos.
11:56 MOBA (Mother Of All Bombs) was surpassed by FOAB (Father Of All Bombs), thus making FOAB the largest non nuclear bomb ever created. MOAB had 11 metric tons TNT equivalent while FOAB had 44 metric tons of TNT. MOAB was from USA and FOAB from Soviet Union.
My thoughts & opinions of the chapter:
1. Assuming the giant hole from where Lulusia was has something to do with how Enies Lobby got its own, then doesn't this confirm that the "Mother Flame" is actually a modern attempt at a power source for what could be the Ancient Weapon that Dragon, Sabo & Ivankov were talking about!
2. Since the SH are now aware of the fact that Saturn is also coming to Egghead, will Jinbe, Robin, Vegapunk, and/or Lucci try to tell Luffy to NOT take Elder so lightly since he is absolutely nothing like Charlos or any other Celestial Dragons they've encountered in the past!?

I think the Mother Flame isn't ammo, but power. The sky weapon requires a massive amount of energy, so it consumes a whole Mother Flame with every shot, but a smaller device would be able to run on this energy for years. It's Vegapunk's attempt to create the unlimited power source that the iron giant used.
I always thought "Eines" was "Seine" reversed, referring to the french river that runs through Paris, giving it a connection to the normally french locations tied to the Celestial Dragons, Like Mary Geoise's original spelling of Maryjois, and the Levely originally being called Reverie and the look of Pangaea Palace.
Given everything else, it might be good to check myself for more double meanings or even misconceptions on stuff like that.
have you seen Paris's"coat of arm" ? it's a crescent moon shaped ship on water (the seine ) with lily's flower on the top . Enclose in a Laurel wreath , very similar to King's tatoo . there's connection for days in that direction .

just gonna throw it out there, what if enies lobby is the location on where joyboy made his last stand. IMU fruit allows her/him to manipulate shadows. Joyboy (the sun god) tried to cancel shadows by making it sunny all the time (not sure if that makes sense). They used an ancient weapon to make that hole. Joyboy left the sun in that spot with his devil fruit. idk

I think you are wrong, the mother flames might be energy cells that can power up Uranus, but as a energy cell it's limited to a certain capacity, that's why IMU choose a nearby place.
Haven't seen this posted before: My thought is Lalusia = Laurussia/Laurasia, the more northern of two large landmasses that made up the Pangaea supercontinent (Pangea Castle is where Mary Geoise is located). According to wikipedia, the "Old Red Continent" (sounds like the redline to me) is the name used for the Silurian-Carboniferous deposits in the central landmass of Laurussia. Parallels aren't exactly one-to-one but Oda likes to play with the ideas of ancient plate tectonics and geology.
Pretty sure Oda also took inspiration from supercontinent Gondwana for God Valley...

Two thoughts about Enies Lobby:
1. If the structure Imu destroyed was called that, why would they rename their new structure there the same thing instead of having the name erased from existance?
2. It's nothing fancy but if the translation "ship's lobby" is true then wouldn't it make more sense that the WG named it that because it's literally the lobby before you enter the tower of justice as well as the harbour you have to use when you get there?
Also, I'm not past thinking thst the enternal sunshine could just be remnants of Nika's power, like devil fruits changing Punk Hazard.
maybe its about the pride of world governemnt. whatever was destroyed by imu was something that opposed the will of wg. so to punish everyone trying to resist, they destroyed that place, and on top of it they built thier tower of ,,justice" where everyone who takes a stand against wg gets convicted. i think thats the reason. do display power and dominance of wg.

Tekking said something interesting, while examining the geology of OP world, It gave me the idea that holes such as Lulusia's and Enies Lobby may go into a space below sueface, going out in another hole, rising sea levels or even causing an upstream like the one SHs used to go to Skypea

I think its interesting how imu doesnt seem familiar with the mother flame as he needs to test it first which tells me that he must of experienced the use of a ancient weapon but not in control of one, its a subtle conclusion to draw from but i cant help but think enies lobby used to be one of the 20 kingdoms due to enies backwards being a river in paris which ties back into mariejoia and that enies lobby being a nuked nerona kingdom is a great way for Imu to hide his past and have no other kings take over his kingdom and that the only thing he cant erase is his name as one of the founding 20 monarchs
There is a more simple answer, the Mother Flame is an energy source for Uranus not the best source but it can atleast fire it once. And Enies Lobby, the island of justice, is the grave of the Ancient Kingdom as poetic Justice. Imu has been alive since void century and obtained and has held Uranus this whole time but had no power source. I think the true power source lies within the power of the Sun god abilities making Luffy the champion of Uranus.

I think that Kizaru is the temporary power source . Similar to the Ark Maxim, I think Uranus must be powered by devil fruit. Kizaru can use it , but not to its full potential because it’s only light. Luffy has the entire energy of the sun.
Kizaru interacts with Vegapunk , his lasers are used for the pacifistas , and I would say his power is visually similar to the blast from the mother flame

So, this may be a bit of a stretch here but it's something I've been thinking about since we first read the term 'Mother Flame' in the manga. Oda deliberately uses katakana for it (I believe, please confirm this for me Artur) but I think that's to disguise its meaning or symbolism. In Japanese, mother is haha (母), and flame can be written as hono (炎) or hi (火). Put them together and you get 'haha ho' or 'haha hi' which is an onomatopoeia for laughter. We know laughter is a major theme throughout One Piece with all the weird laughs characters have, the D clan smiling in death and that the Joy Boy is such an important figure to history, so it makes sense (to me) that there's a connection here. If I'm right, it would imply that the Mother Flame is the artificial version of the Sun God Nika's power, and that he would be the true source of power for whatever it was that Imu used to destroy Lulusia (and probably God Valley as well).
Another idea that occurs to me is that Nika is called 'Sun God', and the Sun like any other star, can explode causing massive amounts of destruction - also known as a supernova. Which is coincidentally also the name for the Worst Generation. I wonder if the reason Imu and the World Government are so afraid of a new JoyBoy emerging isn't just because of the freedom and liberation ideals but that the new JoyBoy could unleash the destructive potential in his fruit if he were to fall to despair or become corrupted. Basically a misguided 'better to prevent JoyBoy emerging for the greater good' approach rather than just being hungry for power (though that's probably part of it too). Blackbeard, who has a darkness fruit and also wanted Hancock's emotional reaction based fruit might, knowingly or not, be set up to create despair or fear in the new JoyBoy and cause his corruption leading to the Sun God going supernova and destroying the world. This might even have been what Rocks wanted and Teach is carrying on that will.

Something that has been completely overshadowed is what lies in the middle of the Goverment traingle(Old Navy HQ, ID, EL) the current inside make it seems like its another whirpool. With all the attention on the miniscule hole of Ennies Lobby , it really feels like a Red Herring for what was enclosed by 3gigantic dours.
I think the motherflame is a powersource powerful enough to temporarily give power to uranus sort of like the eternal flame that the ancient robot used and that vegapunk is still working to make it last long

One major issue with your tectonic plate theory: tectonic plates move side-to-side, not up and down. The sole exception being a plate boundaries where one oceanic plate is forced under another oceanic plate or a continental plate, a process known as subduction (continental plates don't do this), and even then, only the colliding portion of said tectonic plate subducts underneath the plate to which it is colliding (the remainder of the plate doesn't change in elevation).

I actually watched video about Enies Lobby being the Ancient Kingdom before, for me it make sense unlike the video about being God Valley, because as you have mention those giants serve in Enies Lobby for 50 years and God Valley disappeared about 38 years ago (in One Piece). The video said that the maybe the reason why that there’s still have a little land because someone protected the people in it, and that devil fruit that mentioned there is the devil fruit of Bartolome, and they also mentioned that the artificial sun was created by Joyboy. Also the reason why the Impel Down is located in submerged in Sea is the same reason of what happened in Lulucia Kingdom, I mean the sea water is rising abnormally, and it is also the reason why Water 7’s old structures is also submerged in sea.
There's a One Piece theory you'd be interested in by this small youtuber named Tainted M4rth. They look at the anime Oda said gave him his love of Pirates, Vicky the Viking, how a lot of characters and scenes in One Piece are similar to nearly identical to some in Vicky, and how some that don't have an equivalent in One Piece yet seem like a good fit for Laugh Tale and the location of the One Piece.

I heard a theory once about the ancient weapons being like nukes because Plutonium, Uranium, and Neptunium are all radioactive and used in nuclear weapons. Also with Fusion reactors the main fuel source is sea water because it naturally has deuterium.

I actually have an interesting theory that enies lobby is actually a romanization of the words Aeneas and labe aeneas being the name of a Trojan, who fled the battle of troy to create Rome, but it also literally translates to God in mortal body cough cough luffy and lade being made famous form molon labe from 300 fame, but labe which generally means grasp for take so the general translation would be approximately steal from God or what was taken from God
Reminds me a bit of the hole that was created by Enel when he tried to kill Conis the first time. Obviously on a much more massive scale. Maybe it's similar to the condensing of thunderclouds, like how Enel's use of the Ark Maxim for his Mamaragan, only more concentrated.
It also makes me think about Weatheria's technology. Maybe they aren't 16 concerted laser beams, but massive lightning bolts instead. The time it takes to arm something like that is similar to the amount of time it takes for Weatheria to travel large distances, but perhaps it's a more advanced application that is more efficient for Imu's purposes.
This explanation would largely depend on the composition of the rocks that make up the islands. Grand Line/New World islands don't follow conventional rules after all. Maybe, it is based off an ancient moon technology that was able to not only replicate lightning, but was able to magnify the destructive power, like the Ark Maxim.

We could as well assume that the events and dialogs in 1089 were the reasoning for the world government not using mother flames liberally to destroy various pirate revolutionary etc strongholds or issuing a rather drastic buster call for egghead island
Funny thing with Alabasta being so closely connected with Egypt. There's all sorts of speculation that their society was well beyond our time and perhaps even further even going as far as near unlimited energy if not exactly that.
I think we’ll know more about the power source if we look at the results of the weapon. We know it can displace mass and we also know that the water still falls around the perimeter of that displacement. And the sun is never obstructed so that displacement reaches into the atmosphere.
There are a few fruit powers that come to mind for accomplishing a task like this and I don’t want to limit the discussion so here’s the possibilities off the top my head: Law, Kidd, Bonnie, Barto, Kizaru, Luffy, Foxy and dragons fruit (if it is in fact wind based).

Vegapunk’s appearance being partly based on Albert Einstein might also be a clue pointing to an atomic weapon of some kind. Einstein famously cowrote a letter to the American president regarding the weaponization of nuclear science, which resulted in the Manhattan Project

Ok just got past the 1 minute mark and just remembered how it's never night in Enies Lobby and wanted to say before hearing your theory I believe it might be the hole goes to the other side of the world meaning that when the sun goes down it rises on the other side still bringing sunlight to Enies Lobby, but then again they said it was like a dark pit down there which if my theory is true the sun just never set on our side during the arc.
Sun God Nika, Enies Lobby is Joy Boy's home when he was a live, he probably used his fruit to make the place have a 24/7 sun.
I have small theory that the vegapunk are different time periods of vegapunk life, and since he knew ivankov the female vegapunks would make sense, I wonder if there's more meaning to that like some kind of reincarnation or something

Rather than earthquakes causing the rising sea level, I'm on boat with Drop the Pizza's theory about the poles shifting. If the rotation of the one piece planet changed due to the blast then the ice caps would melt and cause sea levels to rise. The sun never setting could also be their location being within the arctic or antarctic circle
