With all the people that need housing this could easily be made over into emergency housing it’s such a waste for such a beautiful building to sit idle and have areas in need of repairs due to no one keeping it safe, be safe and thanks for such a beautiful building to see and enjoy!
15:48 going down into the basement, this was where there was another classroom. knitting and embroidery was taught down here also including uniform repairs & is where the main electrical distribution board lies. always found it spooky down there.
I went to this school between 1983-1990.it has changed over the years.as it was st.cuthmans back then.i loved watching this bring back a lot of memories.the old classrooms have gone. But the main building don’t look to bad.love to go back one day.
Ed's a natural born point man, they always take it for the squad! Number one rule while on patrol, is to keep moving.Excellent re-con mission you have cleared a good position to bivouac! At ease gentleman!
I live the William Morris wallpaper (called-William Morris Vintage “Spring thicket” Floral Design) in the room at 13:12. William Morris, a founder of the British Arts and Crafts Movement, was especially known for his wallpaper designs. These were created for the firm he founded with his partners in 1861, Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Company, and later for Morris and Company. Next time show us that stuff too!!!!!
Such a beautiful school, very prettily situated! I can't believe how every room had a fire place, such a nice touch! The weather just added to the ambiance of the place. It must have cost a fortune to go here in it's hey day, they even had a swimming pool!
12:03 fire alarm system, always been there but often updated. door to left is 2nd door to dining room, door on right was the main office & next door on the right was headmasters main office where many a caneing or 4 rulers toook place
The good thing about this Grade II listed building is it can't be pulled down so hopefully some millionaire will buy it and modernise it. Loved the staircase and fireplaces. Some people will probably have good memories of this place. Ed's quick at moving about, he doesn't linger anywhere long lol. Nice boxing moves Alex. Loved the explore Alex thank you xxx
Thanks Gaynor! Yeah a right good little find this, such a shame but has been kept really well.....so far! And Yes you have to be quick to keep up with Eddie 🤣🥊
That was an amazing look into past education . I was gobsmacked by the fact it was abandoned when there is such a shortage of space for so many useful and productive things . Thank you for your time and the careful way in which you approach each segment of your searches . Till next time , Stuart in Canada ..
Great explore - interesting to see what was left in the classrooms/rooms when one day the school closed its doors for good - always seems so sad! The wood panelling and fireplaces are amazing - would have been a fabulous school😊 Do hope its features can be preserved by whoever takes it on. Great filming Alex 👍
Thank you Trish, an amazing find this one, so cool to walk around knowing how untouched it was. Being grade II listed, I'm sure the building will get the care it needs!
Just now watching this! 22:34 That PC is newer than mine!!😭🤣 I would see if they were going to sell it but, it's long gone now!😞 25:19 🤢😱 Gnats/fruit flies! I'm outta there!😅 30:31 Looks like a PC processor but, i ain't ever seen one like that!🤔 31:28 Smoky Sue smokin a J!!🤣 That place is massive and cool! I'm glad you got in before it got all smashed. Thank you for taking us around this amazing vacant haven! Thanks to Ed too!👍
Was called St Cuthmans boarding school where a lot of kids were sent that had learning dificulties & in some cases certain disabilities. Kids who had ADHD would have been sent here as ADHD then was not understood.
They can’t do to much to the building as it grade 2 listed, and the whole building is old, I went here 1984 to 1990 when it was St Cuthmans it was a lovely
Whenever I see one of your videos documenting places like this I always think how easily it could be shelter for homeless people, and how 'they' would rather a place like this be left to rot. What a wonderful world we live in.
This is a house I'd buy. At least it isn't covered in mould and falling in on itself. Would make a great community house for multiple people/families. Lots of continuous upkeep no doubt but worth it.
I always find these sorts of videos on schools etc. a little sad to see! Since thousands of kids probably grew up living here and had some of their best memories in those halls. Still an amazing video documenting an amazing place that otherwise would’ve been left undocumented for however long!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thoroughly enjoyed that. The history of that place would be interesting. You did really well with this find Alex and Ray, Pompey. Much impressed by that explore. Thanks guys 🤗💜😁👋🏻👋🏻
I like you guys style, you treat the places you visit with respect. Ned/Ed, Pompye, a school name? Like mine Honker from loud nose blowing, whats his connotation? If there is anything to trip over he will find it! A very knowlegable guy on antiques!
Came across this building in 2018/19. Nice to see it's still in great condition. It's too big for a single person or family to live in, expect to see it turned into fancy flats.
I went to Caythorpe Court college, when it closed it got bought by one of these outdoor adventure places PGL? It seems such a shame because of what they've done to the grounds, but I suppose at least the house is being looked after. This could go as flats or something sort of business. Caythorpe was going to house immigrants at one point.
Main area where all pupils used to line up eveytime whilst waiting to go to dining area for their food. 1st door on the right tucked into right hand corner was the staff room. the next right hand door was the laundery drying room with a giant fan in. next mini corridor led to infants school area, next is staff toilet. Bottom left was girls toilets and shoer area. further down was the Pantry where all food was stored leading to the kitchen. Behind this image was the kitchen washing up area
Just been there , when we tried to make our way into the kitchen the alarms went off , we hurriedly made our way out to find one of the people from the houses along the road had called the police , she came at us and tried to stop us from getting away but managed to go through the orchard . Stunning building but it is now in such a state :(
Wow that was a close call then! I suppose it's good that the locals actually act on the alarm, otherwise it would be in a lot worse state. Sorry you didn't get to look round though.
Thanks for this one. Such a beautiful building, the staircase was in perfect condition as was the fireplaces. This would make beautiful Private apartments, as Schools and Hotels are not making money anymore. 🇦🇺
Wow what a place and that staircase! When I saw bunk beds I thought is it a boarding school? But I don’t think so as theirs no wardrobes, drawers ect for their clothes. I don’t think the capacity for the school must have been big as the classrooms were quite small. Loved the science lab at the end. Thanks guys 😅
That ‘tower’ in the cabinet of the server room looks like a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) it’s a battery backup for the Comm unit. Also as an FYI, I’ve seen in a few videos that you assume the PIR detectors are not working if they do not light up, 90% of PIR’s have a connector (jumper) inside them that if removed will disable the red LED, it will still work as normal but won’t turn the led in when it detects movement.
New subscriber cheers guys best wishes from Northern Ireland UK.My 2 kid's think I'm daft for liking school as much as I did.I wonder did they light the fire's in the winter time.
Thank you for checking out the video Margaret! Yeah these old buildings were a nightmare to heat, and now the cost of modernising them is eye watering!
Hi Alex, another great location… 2 things 1.. your friend seemed in such a hurry all the time, he was nearly running !! 2, I did feel a bit dizzy watching this one, you seemed to move the camera around quite fast most of the time I am not moaning, (you do a fantastic job).. just an observation 😁
Someone somewhere must still own this absolutely fabulous building, but the problem would be what else would you use it for ?, and who would have the money 💰?.
I was working here as a sub teacher in 2017 when it closed down. They used to bus the kids down from London on a Monday morning and back up to London Friday afternoon. The inside hasn’t changed much to be honest.
hi guys this school is humungous such a beautiful school only one can dream about such ashame they didn't get the permission to keep it running .I bet there was much fun .and must of been so sad on the day of the last bell for children and teachers .the frame work and panelling .stairs and that is amazing .such ashame that can't continue to be a school .loving the old bath amazing .you guys are too funny nice to see you having a laugh along the way

2:19 on the left was main assembly hall & right was the main classrooms. 2 floors with cooking area for learning to cook
13:17 the little cupboard seen on the left was once known in my time as the Tuck Shop where the kids like myself were able to buy sweets
15:48 going down into the basement, this was where there was another classroom. knitting and embroidery was taught down here also including uniform repairs & is where the main electrical distribution board lies. always found it spooky down there.
You went here? Can you tell us more about it? Such a beautiful building.
That woodwork in this school was amazing. Such a beautiful place. A shame that its abandoned
I went to this school between 1983-1990.it has changed over the years.as it was st.cuthmans back then.i loved watching this bring back a lot of memories.the old classrooms have gone. But the main building don’t look to bad.love to go back one day.

Hi Alex & Ed, wow that place was still in a really nice condition, a very cool explore you two. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🥰
This gave me real Mallory Towers vibes and the fun fantasies i had of boarding school whilst reading them. Midnight feasts and adventures 😂😂

12:03 fire alarm system, always been there but often updated. door to left is 2nd door to dining room, door on right was the main office & next door on the right was headmasters main office where many a caneing or 4 rulers toook place

Thanks Raven appreciate it 😁👍
27:36 this is where all or most staff turned up in their cars, was known as the back entrance

You're welcome 😁 👍
the wood work done is is very nice and still intact
Well if you got tired in that explore least you got somewhere to put your head down 🤣. Great find that enjoyed it. 👍
It's not the worst place in the world to do an all nighter mate 😁🤟
We had a room like those with beds, and it was called the sick room, if students were feeling below par we were sent to the nurse and she took over.
Main area where all pupils used to line up eveytime whilst waiting to go to dining area for their food. 1st door on the right tucked into right hand corner was the staff room. the next right hand door was the laundery drying room with a giant fan in. next mini corridor led to infants school area, next is staff toilet. awesome video bud what a find
Cheers Gav! Yeah real quality this one 👍👍
33.:09 walled area seen ahead up the slope was the allotments for the pupils which also had a massive apple orchard

Thanks Liz!
Yeah it was a real cool find this place, amazing condition. I just hope that it gets rescued and looked after.
Thanks for watching 😁

I was surprised there was no assembly hall! I grew up in London many moons ago and every school had at least one hall strange that. 💕🇦🇺
2:03 original modern part of the school seperate fro main building. allegadly blown down by a storm
Definitely s boarding school. Maybe dressers were sold off?
I went to school here it closed the year after I left was really gutted it had x
Magnificent building and such a shame really!
Thanks for watching

Hi Alex, another great location… 2 things
1.. your friend seemed in such a hurry all the time, he was nearly running !!
2, I did feel a bit dizzy watching this one, you seemed to move the camera around quite fast most of the time
I am not moaning, (you do a fantastic job).. just an observation 😁
We call him Fast Eddie 😉 and yeah I think I was over excited in this explore, literally just came across it!
Thanks for the comment Cat 👍👍
This is pretty slow for Eddy 😆
I used to live in a place like that but smaller and did it all up it looked beauiful and the garden I sold it and moved
Have a Beer on Anthony 👍
Good find mate great video 👊
Nice one buddy, yeah crazy place to explore this mate!
That wallpaper at 13:55 looked like a William Morris pattern.
Someone somewhere must still own this absolutely fabulous building, but the problem would be what else would you use it for ?, and who would have the money 💰?.
I suppose it will be luxury accommodation, the upkeep on these houses are eye watering for one person.
5:48 one of many dormitories. Original beds were all wooden
Wow what a beautiful place & historical too hope they don't ever tare it down and turn it into something.
I'm sure the building itself will remain as its Grade II Listed. Flats no doubt 🙄 cheers for watching Lee 😁👍
So sad this is empty. Many homeless people need a dry place to stay😢
14:51 was the headmaster suite
Love the banter you have, sounds like a old married couple 😂😂
I thought this was Wadhurst College from the thumb nail then I thought it might be st.cuthmans near redford and comments below confirm!
I was working here as a sub teacher in 2017 when it closed down. They used to bus the kids down from London on a Monday morning and back up to London Friday afternoon. The inside hasn’t changed much to be honest.

Power-Plate is a machine that gives the body's muscles a high-speed workout by using vibrations to stimulate them to contract and relax.
Smoky Sue costs about $200. I looked it up. Never have seen one of those.
Emergency housing it might make, but people also need work & educational & social opportunities nearby. If people are trying to build a life they need more than a bedroom.
19: 40 smaller second dining room
I dont understand how thieves have not stripped the place. All the booty on these explores must tempt a saint.
