THOMAS. glad to bump into you again!!! I've been following since you worked at the last company. I've always liked your videos!!! You were literally the first youtuber I've watched when I first started to get into the fish hobby!! Keep up the great work like always!!!!
We don't have a specific video on it, but here is a link to it on our website. (also available in black) www.bulkreefsupply.com/floating-suspension-hybrid-light-fixture-hanging-system-white-aquatic-life.html
I’ve had this sump for about a year and a half on my 150gal and it’s awesome. Tons of space but my only gripe is the filter sock holder. No idea why there needs to be three because the water never reaches the 3rd sock and they are a tiny bit of a pain to get the socks out since they fit so snug into the bracket. If anyone has any recommendations let me know.
The sumps with the V1 controller has a bad board that will go bad causing the floats to stop working. BRS says they have had only one report in 1000 ...what else would they say cause it would costs them tens of thousands of dollars to recall them and to take of their site and what they have in stock. I think Trigger knew about the bad circuit boards but just took a chance and felt it would be cheaper to send a repair kit out. I received an email that the owner knew about this issue and so does BRS. So just be on the watch that these will stop on some sooner or later and could let your sump over flow.
Love the size. I’m planning a basement sump (on a table for easy access). Does Trigger offer lid kits to help lower evaporation? It’d stink to buy such a beautiful show sump and then have to kludge something to make it work.
@@pfas52 lol. If I had the skill to work with plastic to make it look good enough to compliment the sump, I wouldn’t buy the sump from them in the first place. Oh well. There are other companies. Or maybe they will come around by the time I am ready to buy.
The top brace that runs around the top of Trigger sumps makes running wires or mounting holders awkward while decreasing the area available for tall components
I have picked up 90 gallon drilled aquarium for my turtle. I am thinking of converting from a canister to a sump system freshwater tank. can I put a cover on top of the sump to limit humidity/water loss. I have dehumidifier in the basement and the sump would just add more uncovered.
Absolutely. You can cover a sump just like you would a display tank. You might just have to DIY the covers or have them custom made as pre-made sumps like this one usually don't come with covers. Check out the Fiji Cube sumps as they are one of the few sump options that do come with some covers right out of the box www.bulkreefsupply.com/sumps-tanks-refugiums/sumps/fiji-cube.html
Worthless and customer service is the worst. Might be made in America but parts come from China or some other third world country. Very cheap parts especially the float sensors
Find out if one of these Sapphire Trigger System Sumps fits your style!

I had asked it they would make me some and they recommend buying a sheet of polycarbonate and making them myself

Not a bad sump.
Are we still just ignoring the tank clearly running in the background???
I can make that same thing at home
