Love the tutorial! Thank you. I am having issues with my hubs now, and the system in this video is functioning as it should. Would you have a recommendation on what to check next? My wheels do not reflect the same actions as yours when the hub lock is engaged.
That would be the only thing to check, recently swapped for manual hub lockers fro AVM and on my second offroad expedition, all the bolts snapped on the manual locker on the right side...sad isn't it?. Managed to fit the original bolts, (had to shorten the bolts by 15mm to fit the manual hub locks) hopefully i'm safe this time!
Be careful with that. The solder will breakdown pretty fast.
With anyluck we can find a brush from an alternator which will fit

I have done it, yes, I bought a set of AVM manual hub lockers that replaced the electronic ones.
Mine is The hub lock indicator is still blinking even though it is disengaged.

I think manual locking hub will work easier than this automated lock....anyway..thanks for the vids
Yes i know...i will chase a 70 series front axle so i can do the manual conversion, i don't like them AVM lockers, they look so cheap.
I have a 1994 Prado and my hub lock and H4 lights are not working, light would not come on on the dashborad? did you have the same issue?
Light comes on, but the hub wasn't locking, the only way to check if its locking or not , is to, press the button and drive the car slowly and turn left and right, you will feel it when its locked, wheel draging, 👌
@@TheLandCruiserChannel yea unfortunately I found out the hard way and got stuck in the sand... just had my truck for a few weeks now and I'm not sure what's causing the failure, I'm taking it to Toyota after the Holidays for some help!

It is absolutely normal, cos when the hub is locked the motor stops straight away, then when you unlock the motor knows his position then it will go the other way to unlock the hub
Yes, I agree with you, do you have any idea when you press 4 wheels switch On hub locks and when you press the second time it is Off and the motor should turn opposite direction. ( which is not doing ). any clue on that.
@@411lofty only takes 3 seconds for the motor to lock and unlock the hub, you can replace the electronic hub locking device with manual lockers from AVM i did that to mine.
