I was born in 1959. I became mad for motorcycles when I was very small. My parents, on the other hand, were dead nuts against a son riding those awful things. One Christmas the promised me a motorcycle, I knew it was impossible but Christmas morning I opened a small box and in it was a burgundy die-cast Triumph Speed Twin complete with a rider clade in black leather and wearing a white helmet. If you put it on the table and look at it at straight on it looks like that rider is blistering down the straight. I still have it. I also have a 1966 T100 that I ride.
I believe dubbed "Bathtub" from the shape of the back end. No great numbers were made because it was not such a popular shape and owners would proceed to strip it from the "tub" to make it more sporty looking. Very rare and sought after today. Was also available in 350cc displacement.
Wow look at that exhaust shape! Incredible
Absolutely Gorgeous Machine. 👌
Reminds me of my 5T in the 50s. Great times.
They are nice bikes. Smooth engine, comfortable and reliable, and good around the corners. This ones a nice example, just wish I had the beer tokens..
Exhaust sound omg i love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Nice restoration, however is the tank badge correct?
Yes it's correct.
The bezel thickness of the Smiths clock isn’t. Small thing but just something I noticed.

Looks like the bike is wearing a dress .
Timing sound is not good. Adjust timing gears.
Sounds fine to me. The sound your hearing is probably the primary chain.
