I HATED city driving, been there done that you did a hell of a job backing in.👍👍
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
Little History about Joe ,He is my Cousin and we all knew when we we're Kids Joe was going to be a Truck driver!!! KID LIVES AND BREATHES TRUCKS!!
One of the BEST Driver's on the East Coast.. Super Proud of his guy 💪 KEepOnTRucKin
True story here guys! Thanks bud, I really appreciate that! I love ya cuz
Nice job driving it using RPM's and listening to the motor! I have 38 years experience. Not bragging or trying to stir the pot. 62, started at 24. Taught that way by the old dog's who taught me how to drive. As far as city driving?I grew up in northern NJ just outside of NYC. It's where I first started driving trucks. Safe travels and God bless
That's awesome and not stirring the pot at all I love hearing your history and it's you guys who I look up to! Thank you and same to you!
Watching you hauling that flatbed load of steel in the city with that Ford 9000 and the way you drive brings back memories for me when I did it in Chicago back in the 1990s
That's so awesome! I love that because it just shows memories and history!
Love watching these videos. Truck sounds amazing.
Thank you! I really appreciate that and I'm glad you enjoy watching!
Good video we still have some ford ltls in aus be safe
Love the Nathan Airchime whistle on the truck. I appreciate it as a railfan, perfect fit for the truck, and tasteful for the city. You turned that child into a future trucker!
Thank you! That's awesome and I really appreciate that! I agree that's how it's done!
Great footage of driving through those tight streets.
Looks as if she's gonna rub both sides at times.
Thank you! And yea the camera throws the perception a little off due to the wide lense but it is kinda tight lol
Blue collar truckin love it!
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
This guy has the coolest videos, not only that he goes into the most nightmare downtown nyc areas but he does it in his old ford, I really am curious can you make money with a truck like that? I have only been a company driver but this is very interesting to me
I greatly appreciate that and you make money with an old truck because it's paid for, and it's reliable as long as you take care of it and not tear it up. Our fords are an 84 and an 86 and neither of them have ever left me anywhere.
For sure he makes money with the truck. Rates are what they are, his cost is gonna be lower in some areas compared to leasing a new rig. Old is reliable no DEF.
I've got 2 ltl9000s both with Cummins. Haven't used them in years, stopped trucking awhile ago. But hopefully be trucking in a year. Trucks need some tlc. Like seeing ltls out working. Thanks for the videos.
Oh wow! I hope they can get back to it easily for you! And I appreciate that! Thank you for watching!!!
Delivered pool water with one of those for years awesome truck
Second camera is awesome, thanks!
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
What's up driver another great video my friend, that old ford is sweet. Those are the truck's we can fix and repair with knowledge, no computer needed. Stay safe out there my friend and keep the videos coming and always travel safely catch you on the next one.
Thank you! I really appreciate that and couldn't agree with you more. I'll do my best and I appreciate you watching! See ya on the next one!
Sweet LTL
Thank you!
I love hear the sound of this truck. Greetings from Italy
Thank you! I really appreciate that and crazy to come from Italy!
Love your channel bro keep making good videos Man I can't wait to get my Class A CDL back and take loads of the filling in New York and all that like I used to
I really appreciate that and I'll do my best! And I hope the best for you to get your license!
Man I just found this channel and can’t get enough of it!! Love the ford and you can have that NYC 💩!!! Great driver though
I greatly appreciate that and hahaha I don't even want it 😂 I just have to do what I'm told hahah thank you driver!
Best channel to watch right now
Wow! That really means a lot! That's huge! Thank you so much!!!!
The opening scene answered my question...you float your gears!
Lol that's awesome!!!
And he's smart enough to keep the tranny engaged, no coasting in neutral.
Well most of the time.
Like a boss !!! God I love sound of that ole 9000
Great video keep them coming. BQE still like driving on the moon crazy. Be safe.
Hahahahah yes sir! And I will thank you
Yeah that backing scenario I had those a bunch of times on those job sites in the city and when I was with my Dad on a job site when I was 10 I remember he had this very difficult backing situation so they wrapped a very long thick cable around the tandems on the trailer and swung the back of trailer over Two foot to where they wanted it to be those were the days
Yea man! That's history there I love it!
i don't mind getting around in the big apple when you are driving and i am at home watching you on you tube good job brother be careful or you will blow the motor in that o ford 10-4👍
Hahaha I really appreciate that
Awesome video👍👍👍👍
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
Becoming a lost art fast! Shifting. Manual transmission. 10,13,15,and 18 speeds. Forget about the "" deep reduction ""! Can ya put your head liner back? I know, i know. It's a work in progress!
I couldn't agree more! I'll be working on it! Lol i appreciate it!!!!
I'll be looking out for this LTL in NYC!
That's awesome! Thank you!!!! Hope to see you!
Beautiful truck. Love the foot cam 👍
Thank you! And thank you I appreciate that feedback! Glad you enjoyed watching!
Very cool video
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
Just found your channel brilliant proper trucks how they should be. Watching from Scotland
Thank you! I greatly appreciate that!
Well 🤷🏼♂️ I had enough truck driving , traffic & stupid for today watching the video .. think I’ll get something to drink out of the fridge then go parallel park my a$$ on the couch 🛋 with the tv remote 😂 all be safe …
I had an 89 LTL 3406b with a 15 speed. Boy do I miss that truck.
That's awesome! Sure it sounded good with the cat!
@@Only4Trucks it did
Ryobi and Milwaukee both make nice cordless soldering irons and heat guns for electrical repairs on the go 👍🏻
I'll definitely be looking into them!!!
One cool thing about New York is everyone still runs spokes on the rears in heavy applications
I agree, and I love the hand paint and fancy colors and striping
We should start a GoFundMe so we can get you some new windshield wipers and a shirt mic for when you're in the truck. I couldn't hear anything you said when you were moving.
Hahahahaha I know and luckily I now have a mic! The quality will be better every video!
I feel for you on the west coast it’s the same thing I deal with San Francisco all the time. I’ve done rollbacks and goosenecks and my service truck. Dealing with people in the city especially is the worst I’ve been at a stop light before and had people walk over my gooseneck trailer lol. The struggle
Definitely sucks! But I gotta say I can't way to truck out on the west coast. West coast trucks have a cool style to them when they are done up.
Get a jake on her 😂😂😂🏴👌
Definitely needed and hope to get it in one day!
Hoping to get my Class A permit next week. Long way to get full license but at lest I would be able to drive with someone else.
I really hope you get it! Good luck!!!
Just recently found your channel, enjoying the content. Great to a 9000 still working. What engine is in the big jigger ? Safe travels mate 👍🏼
I'm glad you found the channel I appreciate you watching. And it's an ntc350 big cam Cummins. Thank you!
That take so much practices using the left foot as brake because how much pressure you need to put on the brake pedal. But you do pretty awesome on the shifting up and down. On top of that, depends how responsive your gas pedal is, some truck sometimes take a little longer to kick in then some. But I like responsive gasp pedal. You press on it you know you going to get the rev and get it truck moving in a hurry.
I couldn't agree with you more! A thing I love to try and do is drive a different truck with a completely different feel and try to shift it up and down without missing at all. I try to get it in one or 2 tries and then I tell myself I'm good 😂 but that's hard to do
@@Only4Trucks Even if its hard to do you are still trying and getting better due time on it. As well you driving a truck with out jakes, back in the old days they never had jakesbrakes, I did wonder how many will have burned breaks that would drive down mountains grades loaded.
Would these trips be any easier with a COE truck? Just cause the shorter wheel base ?
She sounded like a screamin jimmy lol..
Hahaha
Gud day sir, sorry but im a new b. Lol.. just want to ask if how you do shifting without touching a clutch? I enjoyed watching your video sir im just asking.. keep safe
Come on now.
Just be a Magician, and move the trailer over a few inches that way! lol!
Those LTL 9000's were the shit, for owner operators back in the day.
So I gotta ask. Where's that rebar coming from. Is that Port Richmond,
down off of Allegany? I had a buddy, Steve who used to drive for the steel
hailing company up off of the Blvd, back in on Byberry Rd. All their trucks
were bright yellow.
His Dad had worked there, but got laid off when US Steel closed up by
Fairless Hills, Pa.
Hahaha exactly, they want be to do the impossible and I agree man they are so cool! And it's coming out of g and venango, re steel. And it's not far off of Allegheny. Near port Richmond/Kensington, and that's awesome man I love hearing the history!
Rebar in Essington?...I had made a comment on your brooklyn delivery...I said delivering rebar, made me quit being a driver...In the early 90's our tech was terrible. We'd get a copy machine copy of a street map from dispatch... I can laugh now but; the fury of being in sent to a place that is NOT made for tractor trailers is an anger rarely felt...
Hahaha that's a completely different way of doing it and I can only imagine for sure
Don´t you see yours steering colum joint is 80 % broken , near gas pedal ?
Yea it's just the rubber boot is all
They dont know bro! Your exactly right! These guys think you can just put a truck anywhere they don’t know shit because they’ve never done it.
Thank you, your absolutely right but we're just dumb truck drivers lol
Sweet gear jamming.
And, are you considering making merch?
Thank you! I really appreciate that! And I will absolutely be making merch! I have a deep love for trucks and I only wear certain "truck" gear because I think a lot of stuff made by people who aren't really into trucks comes out corny. So I like to think I will be offering some of the coolest trucking merch!!!
@@Only4Trucks I can't wait to see it and buy some!!
@@Parker343 thank you! I really really appreciate that!!!!
@@Only4Trucks Yup! Anytime!!
I know this is about Trucking but the guy on the trailer loaded with no hard hat no vest don't think that's OSHA approved LOL.
Did it not look safe to you?
Looked like they knew what there doing. OSHA is garbage
You wonder how the romans got shit done.
Haha it was a last minute situation to get me out the door. usually he does wear one.
That baby needs a drop visor and some under glow nice truck tho did it come with Jake's or not
I agree! Might have to have one made lol and it didn't come with an engine brake but we hope to get one put in soon
Drop visors are shit.
@@Only4Trucks Keep it original. No drop visor, please.
I noticed your mudflap is torn I put custom letters anything you want on a mudflap as far as letting words pictures just something I do in my spare time it's all hand painted. Let me know if you're interested thanks.
I am definitely interested! Can you message me on Facebook @only4trucks?? I would love to get something done!
You couldn't pay me enough money to drive in the Northeast
Hahahaha
FYI. If you get a mic. No more whistling. Just like whistling into a headset.
I finally got a wireless mic I'll be using asap! And definitely no more whistling hahaha
About how much weight is that trailer loaded with rebar?
The load is usually 35-45k so it puts me right around 70-80k which 80,000 is the legal limit
I dont care how long youve been drivin semi your gona miss a gear every now and then🙂
That jobsite is a shitshow, like you said they do take advantage
Yea for sure lol
Yo
Yo
@@Only4Trucks ayyyy
@@atf0013 awl yeah!!!
What Cummins is that? N series? And what transmission?
It is an n series, 350 with an Eaton 9 speed
Hate job sites like that. Everyone is running around without any sense of direction. Nothing you do is ever good enough, despite them taking shortcuts left and right.
Exactly! So true man
I don’t get why you double pump the fuel pedal between shifts when it’s not necessary
Must be a slow day for you
It might not be "necessary" but it keeps the rpms up between shifts. Everyone has their own way of doing things..plus it sounds amazing. Lol
It's not 100% necessary but at the same.time, the idea of what I explain in part 2 of this video, by eating the slop in the drivetrain and matching the rpm to the wheel speed makes for a much smother ride when shifting, the pumping of the pedal is a bit of a style/flair to it and is harder to do so I am impressed when guys can do it and it sounds good.
@@MisterTwister88 exactly!!!!! I didn't see this until after I wrote my comment back but wow that's it! Thank you!!!!
@@MisterTwister88 haha
Why can't he move the machine
Probably union
Haha
Those 731 guys or local 40 guys on the ground? That’s clown shit they were pulling. They should of had all that worked out before you came there. They look like first day guys
That’s either 731 or 46… 40 don’t touch rebar
I don't know what local they are, and hahaha yea man for sure and I agree
@@tjlovesrachel 731 yes
@@redline350zHR thank you
truck
Oh yea lol
Blip and pin it foot action!🦿
The way you drive, a Detroit two stroker would be very happy
Yes sir! And surprisingly I've never had the pleasure to drive a Detroit but I'm dying to! One day I will
@@Only4Trucks look up the Ol2Stroker channel. I think he's in New England somewhere, you'd like him.
