I was thinking about building a Magnus focused on extra turns and big X spells but DAMN buyback is certainly the way to go, congrats on the fun builds!
The first draft of the list had more extra turn spells, but we decided to cut most of those because we felt they were just winmore. Having an extra turn for UU is great, but most of the time I would rather have a repeatable "U: draw a card" !
The fetchlands are payments of 1 life, which is different than 1 damage dealt. He did mention at the start that a City of Brass would trigger his commander, but the fetches don't :)
I know its a bit of a controversial thing, but I always appreciate players choosing not to put Fish Consult in their decks. It's definitely the most compact wincon since flash hulk, but its honestly so boring to see it win every 9/10 games(which is what it feels like sometimes)
This just shows how busted blue is. Counter everything, everybody using cyc rift, taking extra turns and drawing out your entire deck to win the game. I'm glad my play group doesn't play these types of decks. Does not look very fun to play against.
@@SplitSecond in the last game when everyone was trying to counter his gamble instead of taking out his underworld is a big mistake. But because of everyone purposely giving the other player multiple card draw when they know he can easily just win as well is what I dislike. Its king 🤴 making where I don't want to lose to this player but I'll lose to the next player essentially.
@@dylancruz2430 We understand what you mean. That depends on the mentality and actual position in the game, for each player. Sometimes players feel they must go all in at that precise moment in time, or they will never have another shot, some other players prefer to take a longer and grindier approach to the game. In this specific scenario players had someone else about to win, where the next player in turn order had just resolved a Lim Dul's Vault, which doesn't mean he's going to win. He could, but there is no immediate threat other than the Breach incoming. Remora eventually gave Baal several cards, and if it weren't for the topdeck Mana Vault, he wouldn't even have won in that turn.
That Magnus deck was spicy. Makes me want to build my own
me too 😂
Me too, i will make it soon 🤩

respect for keeping up with all these trigger abilities
Ghyrson looks a funny commander
I hope you'll play with Magus Lucea Kane soon as a temur commander. She has so many 1 card combos copying X spells (chord, finale, GSZ).
We'll take a look into that, perhaps David or Hélder will want to try it out :)
at 14:01, Gyrson is supposed to ping Rodrigo for 2. A couple times this game, he dealt 1 damage to himself without adding the 2 from his commander

Thanks for the double-header and the spicy action!
these guys looked ridiculously fun to play!
Would love to see a Necron cedh list
I was hoping you played one of the necrons. Either way, great vid as always

Great episode. Love this channel ! I would love to get a play mat like you guys use
You can get these playmats through our Patreon page! :)
Awesome games! It's nice getting to see the new commanders but not in the precons!
Such a smart idea for the hydra
just a heads up Professional Face-Breaker doesn't create more than one token per combat phase no matter how many creatures deal combat damage.
It triggers once per combat, but for each opponent dealt damage. So if 3 opponents are dealt damage, the trigger condition is met 3 times :)
@@SplitSecond ahhh okay makes sense...
I never asked, but which one of you are the narrator? Keep up the great work as always!
Baal is the one doing narration.
Really liked the fact that you removed T-Oracle for better content, thanks :)
Marneus is def dirty!
Yeah so the upward inflection takes place in the middle of your sentences. It's ok to do once in awhile but you do it every sentence
I would love to see more Krark Sakashima 🎲🎲🎲

Seriously you guys just king make hard lol.
That was just really bad 👎 targeting at the second game.
Care to elaborate?

You guys could have stop both of them but instead overspend resources to stop his gamble when you guys should have been forcing on the other player

It's awesome that Izzet is getting so much love from the WH40K set.
