    Been watching the channel for quite some time now. You guys have the best editing of all cEDH channels for sure. Cleanest overlay with no useless info, clear stack display, you show critical info like new hands, and you even match the digital overlay cards with the physical cards folks are using. A lot of effort that really deserves praise. Thanks for the highest quality cEDH content!

      Thank you for the kind words! We appreciate it! It's good to see the work being recognized! There are a lot of great channels out there! We wouldn't put ourselves as the best, but we do like to show you the gameplay the way we would like to see it as well :)

    These decks where made very similarly and function as such. They don't even need there commanders.
    This is more of a CEDH battle than actually show casing the true power of these commanders

    • @SplitSecond
      @SplitSecond  Год назад

      That is usually what we intend to do: to pick up new or fringe commanders and push their power through the roof. Then we can try to face them against other high powered decks as well :)

      @@SplitSecond just a typical CEDH fun then. Was hoping to see something different

      @vds92 Год назад +2

      Exactly what I was going to comment, lol. These CEDH decks don't even need commanders, you can just put a piece of post it paper with some color on it into your command zone... Don't get me wrong, I love your videos, this is just a comment on cEDH in general. :)

    games that are just a race to see who gets Thassa's oracle first are so lame to watch... :/

    • @SplitSecond
      @SplitSecond  Год назад +1

      Well, we wouldn't consider this a race, ending on turn 7 it averages the known stats of the length of a cEDH game. There were 2 decks with Thoracle, and different people attempted wining through Citadel and Top, eventually Teferi+kitten drew the whole deck for Baal, and it could have been done a myriad of ways from there, but wanting to showcase cEDH builds, this time there wasn't great synergetic alternatives to Thoracle.

    Down with the fish wins lol.dont have to do much to win in my opinion

    • @SplitSecond
      @SplitSecond  Год назад +3

      Well, there was a whole big turn with a lot of mana spent to access the Teferi combo. Drawing the whole library would give him any desired win :)

      You have to get there. Each game action and decision led to that outcome. It didn't come from nowhere with no skill required. It's okay to prefer variety, but this is cEDH, and the point is to win as efficiently as possible. Baal earned the win.

      He drew all his cards, he could’ve won with anything lol

    • @SplitSecond
      @SplitSecond  Год назад +2

      We try to build the decks as powerful as possible, and quite often remove Thoracle from the builds but this deck's Commander and core strategy didn't had something that syngergetic and strong to it, so with Thoracle package included there was no point in adding something like a Ballista to win with Iso-ref inf mana. As @brian said, he could have won any other way, it wasn't even with a Consultation that he won, and it's the trip we enjoy, not the destination ;)

    • @rayopaw9220
      @rayopaw9220 Год назад

      @@SplitSecond even if he could have won any other way, it would have been more fun to see him do infinite damage or do any other combo to beat the opponents, plus if there is the possibility for a consultation into thoracle that is just the most boring thing to see. Just like having a shitty ending in a good movie, sours the whole experience
