After listening to this breakdown I realized, if you stick the chorus at the beginning of the song, Zach says he wants to feel joy, pain, and the sky. He goes in that order with his verses.
Zach’s thing I think is he’s a poet and not an artist. He just finds real life and turns it into something that can be interpreted in so many ways. He’s quickly becoming one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
As much as I’ve listened to this song ive never thought of it as the candle metaphor and i can not see it any other way now thats such a beautiful comparison and i agree zach bryan has this emotion to his songs that make them feel like their about you
I'm far from losing my parents in theory, they had us young. They should be alive for their great grand kids even... but this gave me full body shivers and misty. I'm sorry about your mom and his. Its a beautiful song.
We are a generation who’s trying to make sense of what feels like a deteriorating world and all the things we grew up taking for granted are suddenly seeming actually really nice. Warmth of the sun, get lost on a back road, talk to our grandparents who have passed, writing poems on sunny balconies, the ego filled crowds don’t attract us anymore, just need a good handful of friends.. this life is too short to be spent having „fun“. We have grown up to realize that life has a lot more to it. That’s what Zach Bryan exemplifies. He is appealing to the kids who have grown up and don’t understand adulthood.
Had married a German gal and had been living in west Germany for a number of years until we decided to move to the US. In that time we gotten into a car accident, sold all of our possessions, said goodbye to family and friends for what felt like a permanent amount of time, and even in that time discovered we were going to be parents. We moved to the states and were without insurance, jobs or even much money. I desperately looked for a job and worked tireless hours to ensure payment on my wife’s routine needs for the baby, afford a place to live, have a car and be insured. Life had flipped onto its head and all the while I remember loving Zach Bryan’s music. I looked up if he had some new songs and played this while at work. Growing up, this is the song I sing to my baby girl. Everything we went through, the lows and highs.. I genuinely feel have grounded me and made me feel more whole. Forever will love and appreciate life and everything it throws at me and Zach Bryan has helped me appreciate that with this song and the other masterpieces he has written. The life we have is meant to burn bright, in joy, sadness or anger. Burn bright and experience it ALL. Not just the highs but to feel loss, freedom in youth, or the smaller things in life that have faded to the background in the midst of a high pace world. Enjoy the sun, nature and the simplicity life can offer.
@@FischtankProductions watching your shows all through the week has really inspired me to learn music. “‘68 Fastback” and “Sun to Me” will also blow you away…as well as “Billy Stay” and “Mine Again”…. Hell, every song. “From a Lover’s Point of View” and “Half Grown”…I could go on and on.
Those are honestly the hits right there. Revival is just a fun song to listen to, but ‘from a lovers point of view’ ‘November air’ ‘68 fastback’ ‘snow’ and ‘cold damn vampires’ are slappers with a hell of a punch
I have heard this song at least a dozen times and I love it every time, but this is my first time listening to it with headphones on. I got goosebumps towards the end.
I know you get a truck load of Zach requests, but you have to admit he's a talented artist. Great ending for this song, and also, if you haven't heard Open the Gate or No Cure yet, they're really good. So's Jamie with Godwin. If she wants a cowboy is a great satire. Also, Deep Satin coming soon. So excited. Dang, this man's got a lot of music.
I am LOVING the lyrics in this song! First time I've heard it. Nature is healing and people need to go outside more and BREATHE IT IN! Simplicity is where it's at!!! I'm also pretty sure that Zach could sing the telephone book and it would sound amazing. Love his vocal quality. It's got a rasp but yet it's not too hoarse. Thanks for reacting Fisch!!!
The thing he has that no one else does (or very few do) is genuine authenticity. That's what separates him and his sound from so many, on top of the excellent songwriting talent
I mean this with honesty…. When I first started watch you I hated it. Thought it was “cringy” but man let me tell you I’ve grown to love the channel. It’s just raw and real music love man. Glad I stuck around! Keep it up
He Paints with his words and I personally have not experienced someone as good as he is, from one navy boy to another this mans music changed my life...
As someone who has seen Zach grow over the years, it’s incredible to see someone who wasnt exposed to this music and absolutely fall in love with it. I always enjoy watching your videos man. I would highly recommend listening to the live version from red rocks! Just a surreal experience.
Ing that was a real up hill battle because time does not heal all wounds. It provides a bandaid over a broken heart.💔 I always felt I would spend the rest of my life with my brother by my side. However It took a long time to acknowledge that he spent the rest of his life for me. For that I am grateful. Pink skies was a song I weeped too and somehow found solice at the same time
This song still gets me into my feels, every single time I listen to it. Listened to it many times, and I still get teary eyed. I love when an artist can get me to feel something through their music, and Zach has a catalog that hers me with Every. Single. Song! And I just got to see him front row in Orlando with my kids. Loved this live!
He's a genius for putting the mega chorus all at the end of the song..... such an awesome way to right the song.... never realized that he sings a lot of verses first until you pointed that out.
Searched speciffically to see if you had a reaction for this one. Glad I found it. Those screams at the end…chills down my pine every time I hear them.
So easy to listen to him singing his stories. Kinda melancholy sweet unadorned until he used his voice to wake us the hell up. Insightful reaction.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Man it's so fucking awesome to hear you talk about his music like this. To hear to someone articulate really well the way I feel when I listen to his music..I'm going to watch every zach bryan reaction video you have and then suggest a couple of good ones I'm sure you missed. In my completely unqualified opinion he's by far the best country music writer atleast in my life man. He's deep and real as a mf. He just such a way of describing it. It's beautiful.
Also a hidden gem is a guy from my hometown, a tiny town in Texas of less than 1000 people when he graduated in ‘93. Greg Schroeder - In Bloom. Really any of his music. He even did a movie not long ago called “This World Won’t Break”. Damn good movie.
I watched your Colter Wall - Devil Wears a Suit & Tie video and then watched approximately 10 more of your reaction videos. Love that you’re looking at country that doesn’t get the mainstream attention it should. You got a new subscriber from me. 🙌🙌
I really enjoy your breakdown of the songs, these are all songs Iv enjoyed for a while now but you breaking down the lyrics just makes me enjoy them that much more and feel more connected. Keep doing what your doing!
its so hard to chose which song to listen to next because they all give a message that is so deep, such a good artist. if you haven't heard 68 fastback thats a good one so is Washington lilacs, traveling man and so many more like the good ill do. once you get a chance if you haven't heard these yet you should give them a shot.
I totally get what you mean it’s been a while since I’ve listened to an artist that makes me feel the way his music does. I know you get a lot of Zach requests but if you want to listen to some of his deeper cuts shivers down spines and from a lovers point of view are phenomenal songs.
so glad you reacted to this song, you always provide great breakdowns and have made me think of ZB songs in different ways. BBB easily my favorite zach bryan song. Love the content
Sun to Me and Tishomingo have been my favorites from the first time I heard this album. I know you’d love them as well! I’m dying to see you react to those two.
Also, the “burn burn burn” and “down the line are” references to Johnny Cash songs… Ring of fire meaning redemption, and pulling yourself out any negative situation you are in and Walk the line being about resisting temptation, being accountable, and remaining faithful.
It’s a soul what u described from about 4:05 to 4:20. That’s called soul.. some mainstream artist have traded it for whatever it may be others have simply masked it by untruth or misstep in there truth but When u write play and sing from the deepest part of you.. the soul is translated beautifully in A physical form and that will forever gravitate other souls to it
Kind of late but I take the whole rot gut whiskey, paris flight, bar room fight as being an impulsive kid again. Not negative but just being dumb. followed by being a kid climbing a tree before he knew the horrors of life as an adult sends that home for me in a way.
You should react to Flatland Calvary (If We Said Goodbye, Sleeping Alone and Mountain Song are all good ones), or Muscadine Bloodline (Life Itself, Put Me In My Place, and Porch Swing Angel are great songs). I think you would enjoy their music and writing 🙃
I agree. Cleto Cordero has that same songwriting ability that Zach has. That same relatable, lovable lyricism that’s so absent in todays music. Flatland and Zach and as good as music gets.
After listening to this breakdown I realized, if you stick the chorus at the beginning of the song, Zach says he wants to feel joy, pain, and the sky. He goes in that order with his verses.
As if i couldnt like this song anymore! Lol everything he puts out is gold!
I never would have noticed that if you didn't say something! He really does craft his songs with purpose.
Wow, lyrical genius
i've heard this song so many times and never realized that
Can u guys explain specifically how he organized it, sorry if that’s a dumb question
“68’ Fastback” is one of his best songs it’s such a good metaphor for getting over a bad relationship.
He did that one too!
Yes! His wordplay and metaphors in that song are pure magic.
Omg I thought I was the only one😂😂😂
Zach’s thing I think is he’s a poet and not an artist. He just finds real life and turns it into something that can be interpreted in so many ways. He’s quickly becoming one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
As much as I’ve listened to this song ive never thought of it as the candle metaphor and i can not see it any other way now thats such a beautiful comparison and i agree zach bryan has this emotion to his songs that make them feel like their about you
And if you listen close, it sounds like you can hear him blowing out a candle at the very end! It makes sense now
Fuck this one gets me everytime. The end is unbelievably good
The LET ME BURN gives me instant serotonin
I'm far from losing my parents in theory, they had us young. They should be alive for their great grand kids even... but this gave me full body shivers and misty. I'm sorry about your mom and his. Its a beautiful song.
nothing beats an artist screaming with passion like Zach does at the end of the song. chills every single time I listen to this song

Love the snicker in his voice like when he says “long and hard”

Open the gate quickly became my favorite song by him it hits so closed to home and listening to the live version made it really hit home
@@lildad559 That whole live album was amazing. I thought the performance of Jamie was really great.
Jamie is such a deep song. Almost same level as Billy Stay
Jamie is a banger
honestly we can't do anything but request all of his songs, every single one is worth a Fischtank reaction video

I think he could definitely sing the phone book....if they still existed lol. but yes nature is definitely healing.
That candle metaphor was awesome man! It had never crossed my mind and I've listened like a 1000 times
Zach Bryan is seriously the GOAT! I’m not joking when I say that either.
The thing he has is, vulnerability.
Among incredible talent in song writing and his voice.
The thing he has that no one else does (or very few do) is genuine authenticity. That's what separates him and his sound from so many, on top of the excellent songwriting talent
This is my favorite song ❤ I had the pleasure to see him live and sang this with tears in my eyes.
I mean this with honesty…. When I first started watch you I hated it. Thought it was “cringy” but man let me tell you I’ve grown to love the channel. It’s just raw and real music love man. Glad I stuck around! Keep it up
I’m enjoying not listening to Zach Bryan songs, until Fisch does. It just makes the songs that much better. ✌️😎
same :)
He Paints with his words and I personally have not experienced someone as good as he is, from one navy boy to another this mans music changed my life...
Candle 🤯
I believe the second verse was a summary of his time in the navy
you have to do Billy Stay by Zach Bryan! My all time favorite!!! Lyrics are incredible as always, but different story from a lot of his songs.
As someone who has seen Zach grow over the years, it’s incredible to see someone who wasnt exposed to this music and absolutely fall in love with it. I always enjoy watching your videos man. I would highly recommend listening to the live version from red rocks! Just a surreal experience.
Hey man listen to the very end all the way you’ll love it

Zach is AMAZINGLY unique. Love him!! He is singing about his life this far, well IMO.
Sat down with a beer. Saw this. Yelled F*** yeah. Night is made

There’s not a day I don’t listen to this song at least once. Love the relatability of it…
He's a genius for putting the mega chorus all at the end of the song..... such an awesome way to right the song.... never realized that he sings a lot of verses first until you pointed that out.

One for the algorithm! Great work dude
Yessir...Thank you for watching. I appreciate you
He reminds me of Dylan, with his turn of phrase and imperfect vocals, that shine in their flaws, because he has so much worthwhile to say.
Also, the “burn burn burn” and “down the line are” references to Johnny Cash songs… Ring of fire meaning redemption, and pulling yourself out any negative situation you are in and Walk the line being about resisting temptation, being accountable, and remaining faithful.
I wanna be a child climbing trees somewhere
Breathing in the fresh outside air
And before I knew this life was unkind
Gosh that's so deep for real
Another absolute banger is 68 fastback by Zach
Love the country vids Fish would love to see some Ryan Bingham. Southside of Heaven or Sunrise!

Please do billy stay it’s one of the most lyrical songs I have ever heard I promise you will love it
I think billy stay would be a solid song for you to do.
