I’m taking this charger everywhere...works so well 👍🏻
Got my oxford 900 coming today,,got me a flat battery,,so cant wait to give it ago,,seem to be a good product for the money looking at the reviews
Found it very useful
Hi all,,,
When connecting your QuadLock, don't connect directly to the Battery.
Find an Aux line which disconnects when you switch off the Bike.
Hope this helps stopping getting your Bike Battery drained.
PS: if you use the "disconnect the USB" method, & water gets into the USB, & if you don't have a fuse, you'll fry your Bike's battery.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 thank you. Good advice
@@BikesVansandThings 😁👍🏼
Damn… this just happened to me. Battery looks recoverable so it’s on the Oxford oximiser now. But ride is a no go for the moment. So unplugging the USB cable from the wireless charger head still drains the battery?!
Thank you, this video helped loads
No problem. I have been informed that the best way is to connect via ignition but I don’t have the skill set myself to do that.
I installed the charger this year. All was good until today. It’s been like a month i did not use my bike, the charger was on “off” and today my battery is totally dead. I am will try to recharge it and hopefully save it. Worst case I have to buy a new battery. I don’t think it would drain the battery if you are on a daily use. Or and option would be to connect it not to the battery but for example the taillight.
Yeah, I think it would be fine if I connected via ignition but I have since setup an alternative solution which works well even though I’m still using the quad lock mount. It’s in my ‘11 mods’ video 👍🏻
@@BikesVansandThings thanks! I will have to buy a new battery. Maybe this one was old (7years) and also it could have been the immobilizer. Monday I’ll buy a new battery and I will check if it gets drained. Subscribed to your channel, cheers from Hungary

@@BikesVansandThings i also have a motorbike playlist, maybe you can check it out, maybe you find a good destination :)
Great. Will take a look!
im using the quadlock wired usb charger connected to the quadlock wireless charger (not using the sae connector) no draining so far.
👍🏻👍🏻
I have just fit the battery charger to the battery running the cable under the seat but when I plug this in nothing works on the charger? Possitive and negative are connected correctly. This can either be connected to the mains or just freely left connected to the bike. Anyone else had issues?
Not sure..can you take a picture?
I have the same quad lock system on my bike. I leave everything fitted to the battery but unplug the lead that connects the battery to the charging head. So far.... (touch wood) I haven't had any issues.
Thanks Bert! Thats exactly what I was doing and it seemed to drain over a week. I have taken everything off so if it still has the same problem, i will have narrowed the field. Today it started first time and so will see over the next week or so.
@@BikesVansandThings that's really interesting. You wouldn't expect it to train when unplugged. I'll keep an eye on mine but I'd be interested to hear of a fix you find 👍🏻
@@bertgregory911 Think Quad Lock may beat me to it! ;-) It may be the battery after the week so will see. I was also having some connection issues with the cable to the head mount. Power would shut off, until I gave cable a wiggle and then back on?
@@BikesVansandThings ah OK... Maybe a faulty unit? Look forward to hearing/seeing your progress
@@bertgregory911 Will update! Many thanks.
Any updates on this? I ordered a wireless charging head but kinda questioning whether to install it now...
I think they’ve made some updates. Will have to check!
I’ve got one on my ST and no problem. There is an on off button on the back of the Quadlock charger and it’s important to turn it off when not riding it. The blue light will go off when it’s off
I ended up installing it and I just unplug it from and installed USB charger whenever not in use. I love it honestly.
