Yep same thing happening with mine on both bikes, and I like how they lay the cause on the battery as if it’s the one that has the issue. Like Quadlock is the company that decided to make accessories that attach to motorcycle batteries, so maybe make them so they work….$80 P.O.S.
Thanks for sharing the solution with us! Solved my issue quicker than the victim blaming conversation I had w QuadLock

Glad all worked out. What they really need to create is a phone holder that has a fan built-in to draw the heat off the iPhone. With the wireless charging adapter combined with the very thick non-vented phone case my iPhone 13 overheats in the summer and shuts off on me on a regular basis. It’s very annoying. I have sent emails to quad lock in the past with little feedback from them. I’m thinking about drilling holes in the case avoiding the connection point to see if that will allow the phone to breathe a little bit better. With that said the Texas heat is a bit much for iPhones to handle.

Seems odd that Quadluck is saying that a very healthy battery doesn’t like to play nice with its product, that the battery charge instead has to be less than optimal. I agree, not a big deal, but still 🤨…

Thanks for the comment. The smart adapter has to have a cut off and turn on point. The Auto function keeps the device off until input voltage rises above 13.5V and turns off when input voltage drops below 12.5V. It's not that it doesn't play nice, it just won't shut down until the volts drop off. As you said not a big deal at all. I'm very happy with the system. Much better than what I had previously or what they made previously.

Hi, great informative video. I’m looking at getting the smart adaptor but with lithium battery it won’t drop below quad locks 12.5v adaptor threshold.
Im coming late to the party here in the comments. However, wondering If the battery doesn’t drop below 12.5v but the smart adaptor is in auto, could you not just hit the button at the back of the charging head? Or is it still drawing power because it’s essentially a direct connection to the battery?
I’ve got no issue switching off at the charging head, just wanting to be sure it actually stops any power draw. Thanks

Try wiring it to ur ignition and not ur battery. It will save you the effort of oning your bike again

It’s not a problem to hook it to the battery with QuadLocks Smart 12v charger. No problems with it at all.
