FFern Autumn 24 First Impression - Why I'm Canceling My Subscription?

- FFern Autumn 24 is the second fragrance that I received since joining the ledger for Summer 24. I had much high hopes with this brand since I was appreciating the artistic approach of this brand. However, with this release of Autumn 24, things didn't go quite like I had expected. Guess I'll have to back out of the ledger and not spend anymore on FFern fragrances.

Thank you for that honest review. I really appreciate it. They marketed QUINCE but no one can smell it. It is also not listed in the notes.
Thank you for the feedback and yes, you're absolutely correct about how quince is totally missing. There's no vibe or anything that resembles quince. 😔
I have been on the ledger for about 3 years. Recently I am sending more and more back. I sent spring and now autumn back, the spicing was so strong that it actually made me feel ill. Too much citrus, too much harsh spice not matured and way too harsh….maybe when aged for a few years this could be nice but not now…
I agree with you. For something that's claimed to be organic, the harshness is too much pronounced. It's as if they spiced it deliberately so much to hide something. I've already opted out. Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts.
Brian, I have the same issue with packaging for my Autumn 24 ( so tight) . I even send them videos and they respond was : “we are busy with sending packages “. I will cancel my subscription as well.
I could've lived with one fragrance that doesn't smell as expected, but the whole point of that box being open and the atomizer coming in primed was a different story. As if they deliberately did it so that people can't make a return. Not everyone will be recording when opening a box. Me for instance; I was so excited that I open the package cuz how would I know what's going on inside 😔. Very disappointing and for the amount they're charging, it's not worth it. Good decision on canceling out the subscription. Also, thank you for sharing your experience on this.
They are children's things, probably something happened, someone opened it, but the product is excellent, I just received it yesterday and it smells delicious 😋 and the whole package arrived sealed.
Well, I'm happy to hear that your package arrived intact. Since the outer package was all good, I'm safely assuming that the box containing the bottle already had a broken seal. I never imagined that would be the case and opened the package (not in front of the camera) cuz I was excited. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the fragrance.

My main box was already opened also. Fortunately, i liked the fragrance. It kind of reminded me of a lighter version of Penhaligon’s Halfeti or a darker version of Byredo Eyes Closed

I almost tried them, but the way the advertised that they were sold out and you had to get on a waiting list felt forced and I was skeptical. Then I got a text not long after about we have a few in stock, hurry and buy etc. The whole thing felt fabricated and generic to me so I stopped the emails and never ordered. I’m not surprised that you and some folks on here had a bad experience, they just gave me a shady vibe. Also, and I’m laugh WITH you not AT you I promise, but you were visibly irked with those guys and it made me laugh. I’m actually glad to see honest feedback, even that type of thing.
It was so frustrating. See, I've bought something from Areej Le Dore. I'm sure a website visit will tell you a lot about their artisanal products and i was totally ok with them too. Small sizes and the rarity of the materials certainly justifies the scenario. Now, Ffern isn't using anything special. The way I see it, their selling point is "organic" for the most part and then "made only once". See, most people who shared similar experiences are less concerned about the fragrance cuz that broken seal means you can't return the item, so that sample vial is pointless. A buyer is out of money and then forced into an situation here. That's not good at all. I've had very bad experiences and yet ai always try to keep an open mind and look for positive stuff. This here was just too much to take. That $140+ isn't my issue; it's the way they took the money and how things went.
I also agree with you about that buy now push factor. I hope more people see my video and become aware before committing. We all learn from our mistakes and this was a lesson learned. Really appreciate your feedback and the fact that you shared your observations was helpful. I hope people see your comment too. 🙏
@@brian19869 I agree! The point of the sample is to make sure you like it, pretty common with certain houses. They dropped the ball here.

Seems like this has happened to quite a lot of us. I hope it wasn't a move on their end to "make sure" that we can't return their product in case we didn't like it from the sample. That would be very shady.
Happened to me as well, they say it can happen during shipping, they will still let you return it.
I really wanna know how on earth a neatly packed box with no moving parts inside can end up with just one side of a sel broken. They reall need to come up with a better explanation. I already canceled my entry. I would rather buy more artisanal stuff than pay $140+ for a 30 ml bottle of something which has such issues. It's sad to hear about your broken seal experience. Not sure if you're continuing, but I'm out already.
