Discovering your powerful comments that fill Dhafer with positive energy. THANK YOU! Delighted to be sharing the new album Pre-Order with you: dhaferyoussef.lnk.to/StreetOfMinarets
Im 38, listening it from Lithuania. Its the 14th of September, 2024, 00:23am. This recording really soothes me. Thank you. Somehow it brings me to ancient times.
Im a westerner, ive been playing music most of my life. Ive touched on so many genres from metal to country, to classic and hard rock, to jazz and classical music, avante gaurd and experimental, but this is something shockingly new to me. The semi tones and unusual time signatures and phrases completely turned composition on its head for me. Thankyou for re opening my eyes to just how deep the creative currents flow within the all sacred sound.
ONE THING IS PROVEN THAT PEOPLE PLAY FROM THE SOUL, HEART AND NO ONE CAN BREAK THE HARMONY, RHYTHM FROM ALL OF US. IT IS IMPORTANT TO FEEL THE RHYTHM! AND EVERYONE SHOWED IT FEEL THE RHYTHM!
The most profound thing about Art is that it makes you cry. Nothing more... Nothing less... It affirms our existence not by negating possibilities which lie outside the human experience, but by bringing us back to rediscover our roots - a quotidian struggle to prevail in a world of fleetingness, a world where we trespass our own shadows, and stare at the face of our own mortality with a sense of renewed courage. We are humbled.
A daily dose of Dhafar has become my new Meditation Practice. We need this in a world so full of pain and insanity. This is the energy to heal our broken Spirits and bring hope.
Karen Varian Cool, a real Yooper! How's winter? :-) Greetings from Germany. Hoping to visit your beautiful state soon. Until then I am gonna reread my Steve Hamilton novels ;-) p.s.: I saw Dhafer just recently here in Berlin. It was a magical perfomance. If you ever have the chancr to hear him live, take it!
I would love to see him live!! I watch his RUclips videos. He is so much fun to watch because he loves what he does! His music is luminous, heartbreaking and wonderful. I never tire of listening to him. The U.P. is in the midst of winter. Not a lot of snow, some chilly days and nights but still beautiful!! Come visit!
Karen Varian I'd really love to. Hopefully one day I'll come to the U.S. - and New England and Michigan will be a must visit for me. Have you ever read Steve Hamilton's 'A Cold Day In Paradise'? When I read it, I immediately fell in love with the U.P. But back to topic: The concert here in Berlin was marvelous. It was only half sold so there were some gaps in the audience. Towards the end of the concert, Dhafer asked us to come down to the stage (in the Kammermusiksaal the audience is placed in a circle around and above the stage). And so we did. We stood around the musicians, just a few feet away, and everyone was clapping or dancing or both and really enjoying themselves. It was a very intimate moment of pure musical beauty and power. Marvelous.
Very very good!!!!!! I don't know much about "Turkey and other islamic" people, but i can see more than just conflicts, and other political and religious conflicts in this area!! All respect from me, as a Romanian!

Its always a joy to hear world class musicians performing at this level of virtuosity and depth of soul. Dhafer Youssef has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard I would love to hear a collaboration with Richard Bona, Anna Veleva and Anoushka Shankar.
I've seen Tina Turner live, and Jean-Luc Ponty, Lizz Wright and Al Jarreau and others, but here, thanks to the professional recording, it's the bee's knees. Today I heard the cimbalom on a recording by a gypsy orchestra and was reminded of the kanun. Come to eat my heart out again... I'd travel the world to see this setup!

His voice is like a river goes from very smooth to very Sharp. The music drives him and he rides it. Love the oud simple but very effective. This is such a briliant musician. Hope I can attend a concert for him
1000 years old soul message presented on the highest level wich I ever heard.
I love this music. This fusion between genres and cultures is real happiness.

Gracias Dhafer
This sound you make Dhafer breaks through the CROWN chakra,,,,,thank-you so much. Beautiful.
As if it is the first time I heard this again, seeping into my dreams, waking my soul, bringing me back to life when I thought all was lost. Gracias = Grace, Amen.
عند سماع موسيقي ظافر ترفع حبي لله توقظ الروحانية في قلبي
I listened to this concert multiple times and each time it gives me goosebumps ! out of this world really amazing...
I watched the entire video more than once a day during the last two or three weeks, and I am still far from getting bored
We need more of this music in the U.S...
Absolutely
At ground zero...
depuis 2015 je regarde ce concert et chaque fois je le regarde comme si c'est ma première fois tellement que c'est une merveille
superb!!!
this is real interplay among musicians, chemistry, alchemy... wizardry
I've felt myself in the stage surrounded by that spirit
It makes me really FEEL the possibilty of a better world, with this joy, this liveliness and depth. Which in turn makes me shed some tears. Very grateful for that.
