Take a trip down memory lane and savour Dhafer Youssef’s vibrant full concert along with his Septet, the Divine Shadows Strings and Tunisian Poet Sghair Ouled Ahmed during Carthage International Fest’s closing night.
“Dance of the Invisible Dervishes” is a 2011 creation by the composer, vocalist, and oud master Dhafer Youssef. It regroups all his works between his first album, “Malak”, and his sixth, “Birds Requiem”. It is performed by his classic quintet (Oud, Piano, Bass, Drums, Electric Guitar) supplemented by a Clarinet, Kanun and Strings ensemble.
Dhafer Youssef’s special touch in this project is to unite electronic music, of which he is considered an avant-garde artist since his albums “Digital Prophecy”, “Electric Sufi” and “Divine Shadows”, with acoustic work, based on what he had started in 2009 with the Abu Nawas Rhapsody Quartet."

Oui oui oui, mille fois oui. Tous différents, tous égaux ! Musique splendide... 😢😢😊😊❤❤
People from all around the world comments under this video, stating their best wishes, peace and love.. How nice to not to see comments with full of hatred. The music is peaceful, the audience knows how to listen. There is still hope for our animal kind :)
Only good wishes from this soul too. Enjoy the music, people !
Absolutely, agreed, Can, as I personnally consider that Music, Food & Love are the main things that can gather people beyond their differences, opinions, religions, countries, etc...at least for an evening or a concert (hopefully more of course). And I love this music (I've just discovered) and the spirit that goes with it, superior & full of sharing good vibrations, what else to ask, indeed...? (I'm from France, and born from varied origins) -and what a smile he has while playing, fantastic !

When I was in the US Air Force, stationed in Istanbul during the 60's I heard interesting sounds of the many modes that flourish in the Middle-east, and certainly pop music from various countries. I knew then that it would be music that will unite the world....not politics.

peace and love from Texas!
Religions and regimes have tried to curtail music but it will always win through... it is the expression and sharing of souls.
This is sublime
I feel like the prospector that just found a gold nugget at the bottom of a stream... there's a wealth of music here that I didn't know existed...
Youssef , I love you . Stay blessed. Love from Kashmir.
Mon coup de cœur, Dhafer Youssef Band !!!
Dhafer Youssef is my new hero. He has all the musical features I love. Understated rhythmic complexity and haunting melodies. There is no better way to progress in music but opening to new influences. It is enriching, and soul-warming. Looking forward to a concert of his in Italy!
Power to the Dervishes! Peace & Love from Germany.

I love youtube. It Gives the chance to discover or rediscover new or old talented musicians. I am listening for the first time in years to Dhafer and his band. Years ago It came to my ears, to my soul through a group called "Blue Planet". MARVELLOUS! From Spain salute you, People!
I just love how DY and the rest of the band are just totally into the moment, not just a presentation but an experience. And that voice, if you have your eyes closed , you do not know if it is him or another instrument...

I Adore You Youddef (Y)
English, the language everyone uses to communicate their love for this man and his wonderful, transcendental music, but so few few comments from England. Well, here’s one.
I want to send my love and gratitude to Dhafer Youssef for the way he unites the world with his incredible music.
The world has been a so much better place to live since I discovered you, Dhafer.
🤲🤲
Greetings from Romania. Love and peace forever...

La musique, c'est comme les montagnes !. Elles n'ont pas de frontières . Merci beaucoup, Robert
instead of teaching religion, every child and every student should have various classes of music and its varieties per week... have exchange programs where they have to travel to a country completely different to their own, to see, observe and learn what can be done better back at home... peace to the world.
Good!
I still hope that somebody with this level of wisdom will someday have enough influence in the world's perception to make such ideas come true. Thank you for posting this. It gave me shivers. You made me feel inmensely understood. Music is the mother of all religions, one of the few things in this planet capable of unite every person by an undefinable bond. Your thoughts be blessed brother

291 people who dislike this music. Probably broken-hearted or deaf. Dhafer Youssef touches you deeply into your heart in places you had no idea existed before.
Love and peace for the whole world

To me, the only Religion that truly unites people is the splendor of music and these musicians prove it. All my love to you guys and continues success!

I was at this concert! Spellbinding! We could hardly tear ourselves away, but we sadly had to leave a little before the end to catch a flight home - it was a spectacular ending to a spectacular trip to Tunisia!
Your music is taking me away. I am flying; diving into oceans, flying over the mountains... You are really great!
