      Most meth isn't "absolutely clear"
But when it is as I've been told
      It signifies it's abundantly potent
as well as being completely easy to overdose on from being so pure
And it's really fuckin' hard to find the person whom told me this info was also really fucked off and said he only saw it once while in Hawaii (so for all i know he was lieing) but then again I'm around an astonishing amount of tweakers most my life and the majority never have seen "clear meth"

Depersonalization is just a vicious cycle of anxiety. You get very anxious, your mind responds by dissociating, and the dissociation makes you more anxious. And it just continues and gets worse. I had this experience when I was 16 and 17, and it really was ruining my life, because I had everything going for me, great friends, an adorable GF, everything I really wanted. But I couldn't enjoy any of it, which scared the shit out of me. Believe it or not, the thing that fixed it was trying psychedelics. I realized it was just anxiety, and it got rid of the convoluted mess of anxiety that was in my mind. I felt reborn. Things were real again, and things were beautiful.

It's interesting to hear this. I hope you're still doing good. Your post is interesting to me because my son (who also suffers from Anxiety) smoked pot and developed Depersonalization for about a year. I am not sure if he still has it since he doesn't like to talk about it or when someone asks questions about it. I would prefer he not do psychedelics because there is quite a bit of schizophrenia in the family genes and at this time if we can help him just not do any drugs until his brain is fully developed - that would be ideal.
Thanks for sharing your experiance! You brought me a little hope. :)

For me it‘s the psychedelic use that triggered the DR. Three and a half years later I still experience it together with panic attacks. I tried like everything imaginable, but I keep losing hope every day. I just hope I will ever get out of this, because this has nothing to do with living anymore.

Yeah I mean of course I also was in therapy. I had 80 sessions of CBT over two years and I was in different day clinics three times. But I have to say that the CBT sessions were quite frustrating as the therapist had no idea what I was talking about. She said things like I have no right to feel bad while kids in Africa are starving. This was my first experience with therapy, so I actually thought therapy is just like this. On the other hand I had six sessions with a therapist who actually studied psychology (the other one was a social worker with further therapy training) and I really feel like she could have helped me as she understood what I was talking about and she also knew what DP/DR is. But she couldn't keep me as her schedule was full already. So for over a year now I search for a new therapist, but in Germany it's quite hard to find anyone with capacities. The therapists have even stopped keeping a waiting list as these extended over 1.5 years. But I will keep on searching, because now I know there might be bit of hope if I find a good therapist again.
Thank you for your answer @sera !

The only way to fully come out of depersonaliztion is to fully embrace it's feelings completely. In my experience this is the only way to overcome that feeling of confusion and cloudiness, it's a terrible state of mind. Years ago i went to the doctor to confront him about my feelings of DP and he made me feel bad about myself, like he was just judging what I do in my personal life.. Nothing seemed to work until i took a deep breath and admired the feelings you get while experience DP... This sounds very corny but it's true, it is the only way to come out of your fog. Hope this helps.

The cause of DPDR (Depersonalization/Derealization) for the vast majority of people, is anxiety. I know that's hard to believe if you've had it for months or years, but if you have chronic DPDR, chances are you have chronic anxiety. DPDR is your bodies natural reaction to extreme fear/pain/trauma. It's a way for your body to remove your mind from the horrible experience and numb the body.
You need to stop fighting it/trying to make it go away because you literally can't force it away like that. Anxiety and DPDR are a cycle, one causes the other to worsen which causes the other to worsen etc.. You can't make the DPDR go away immediately, but you CAN learn to calm yourself down and ease your anxiety. Once you calm down, the DPDR will go away on it's own. How long it takes depends on bad the DPDR is.
Anyone going through DPDR from anxiety/panic should try this:
Get a glass of water or tea
    Kick your shoes off
Lay down on your couch or bed, preferably a quiet place
Relax your body and get comfortable. Tell yourself you are going to fully relax and take it easy.
Take deep, slow breaths. You may not be able to breath that deeply because of anxiety at first, but try your best. Put your hands on your chest and stomach and inhale until you feel them rise, then slowly and naturally let it out. If you feel anxious from the feeling of breathing then just do a few deep breaths at a time and then breath normally but calmly in between. It also helps to sometimes audibly sigh on the exhale, try to imagine yourself feeling calm and take a sigh of relief.
After that, find a distraction. It could be a relaxing phone game, youtube, watch tv, read a book/manga, watch tv, whatever. Just fully accept that you have no reason to think about DPDR or existential thoughts anymore and distract yourself.
Once you have calmed yourself down and started distracting yourself, the DPDR will either go away or start to lessen. Usually it's once you forget about it that you realize it's gone.
Do this every time you panic and have DPDR if you can. You can't do all of this when you're away from home, but some of the things like deep breathing and relaxing you can do on the go and it can help even then.

(This wasn’t just because i have a naturally high tolerance either, I felt it the most and was with 3 others and it was their first time as well). Besides the beginning body buzz that lasted for about 50 minutes during the come up and my pupils dilating to an incredible amount, i didn’t really trip at all. Though one thing I did notice was everything felt weird and unrealistic. Plus the shrooms amplified my feelings, which was mostly overwhelming disappointment to the lack of effect and visuals. Especially sense I put in days of research before trying it and have always been naturally curious about psychedelics.

    • @billanderson369
      @billanderson369 6 лет назад +12

Ok so informally speaking the best way to explain it is that when consumed the weed causes a more “body orientated” high than actually affecting you mentally. You may or may not get the epiphanies using either because that’s personal. Eating an edible can help you physically see things differently and feel everything differently simple things such as walking breathing and controlling your body in my personal experience feel more intensified and somewhat harder ( I have a bit of anxiety and while on an edible it skyrockets sometimes). A ridiculous amount of laughter and It lasts about 6-8 hours and then starts to sober you up.
Smoking relaxes the muscles but not nearly to the extent of an edible and lasts only a rough estimate of 2 hours on average. For me personally it helps me views things in a different manner, helps me take risks, and rely more on my instincts rather than thinking things through ( happens in both cases but I feel more in control while smoking). A bit of laughter and everything usually just feels more “exotic” and fun. All in all edibles are more intense and just amplifies all the effects of smoking leaving you less in control for a longer period of time. And I’m not a doctor so take my words with a grain of salt. Hope this helped

anxiety and depression and honestly after 3 or 4 times I decided it wasn't for me, panic attacks and feeling alien and disassociated from the world for days after. Fast forward a few years, few life changes, year or 2 of therapy and now I smoke every day give or take, I used to think the weed I was getting was laced but I've come to realise it was all me and the anxiety in my head. And that alone is the reason I've spent 3 years preparing and turned down countless opportunities to do psychedelics 😂

This happened to me with weed for years throughout high school I kept pushing myself through it and trying it again and again, hoping it would eventually go away, that started when I was 16. That was the wrong move. I eventually realized, at 19, what was causing this was an anxiety disorder that was probably there for years before even trying weed.
I went to psychologists who helped me realize this. Once I realized it and felt I was in a good enough place to handle myself I micro-dosed shrooms, I felt the happiest I had felt in years, and I wasn't even tripping. That gave me even more confidence to believe it was just anxiety, I personally didn't want to self medicate with shrooms, tho some people do. I instead realized I need medication to help through the last part of this journey. I now take meds and because I'm only 20 they expect me to only need them for around a year, to rebalance my brain chemistry.
It was a long journey, but I learned a lot on the way. If you relate to any of this just stop drugs and find a good therapist. You're not going insane, it's probably anxiety. That's not downplaying your feelings, anxiety at its worst can feel like your going crazy. Good luck.

  • @beanmaster2763

I experienced this for the first time after eating a 10mg edible last month. I hadn’t eaten an edible in years so 10mg may have been a little too much. It didn’t help that I ate it alone in my room, in complete darkness lol. The first week after I ate the edible was the most intense and nerve wracking for me. I had this sensation of being high that would come and go throughout the day which freaked me out since it had never happened before. I had a hunch since I knew that THC was fat soluble so I looked it up and yes, THC can store in your body fat and release gradually. After that first week I stopped feeling high throughout the day but I was still left with these intense existential thoughts. How strange it is that this world exists, how bizarre it is that I exist. I found myself isolating myself from my friends, responding less to their messages due to being caught up in my own head. I binged video games, which helped distract me from my feelings and direct my focus to something more pleasurable. However, when I would stop playing, particularly before bed and in the early mornings, the depersonalization would return. I just wanted to feel like myself again. The time came where I couldn’t avoid going out and interacting with the world. It was my close friend’s 21st birthday and I just could not miss it. I knew it would be a very small and personal gathering but I was afraid I would depersonalize while out with my friends. Luckily, after not seeing them for so long, an outing with my closest friends was exactly what I needed to snap back to reality. I didn’t get drunk like they did but watching them goof around in their drunken state brought me so much joy. Throughout the entire day, not an instance of depersonalization or anxiety. I was finally “free”. Looking back, this entire experience instilled in me an immense appreciation for my life and those around me. I didn’t realize how lonely I had been feeling. If you are reading my little anecdote and currently experiencing something like this, don’t be afraid. You’ll be okay. This state of mind is temporary. Accept what you’re feeling and think of it as a new perspective, but you don’t have to worry as it will pass. Get lots of rest. Don’t forget to eat. Appreciate those around you and be honest about what you’re going through, even if its in an anonymous confession online.

I had DP/DR for 18 years. Tips for anyone out there - find a therapist that understands dissociation and trauma. Even if you think you had the perfect childhood, a good therapist will help you understand what has actually happened and the cause if this disorder can subjectively seem very small or insignificant. Look into attachment theory and try to get an understanding of what that means for you, especially disorganized attachment as this is the biggest factor for developing this disorder. Weed was a trigger for something already there and making sense of your childhood and who you are will bring back your sense of self and reality. I'm now a trainee therapist and I have a great deal of experience with this disorder and some of the ways we can find our way back to 'normality'.

Have DP and DR through weed for 8 months and I forgot what normal is, "how can i not believe life is not real" are the thought that keep me in this loop. Most of the time i almost want to quit this game and then i realise it is not a game but my life and that scares me like hell. Just like the thought of always having felt like this and that there is no normal feeling because i always felt like this. I heard coming out of DP/DR is like understanding where you were this whole time and that you can wrap your head around these DP/DR thoughts and feelings and understand life for what it is. I like to see it as a broken leg. A broken leg needs healing and rest and when you keep on standing on this leg to see if it is healed the process will slow down and you wil even think it wil always be broken when it defenitly will heal. So i also discovered faith is a importend mindset in life, that is the only thing that keeps you moving frowars when knowledge is failing on you, alright keep on going dudes and girls, don't mix you're personality with someting that is not you, but just a temporary thing 🤙

Addressing the weed depersonalization comment, this is the main reason why I don’t smoke the plant anymore. I’m not against the plant in any way I’m just not ready for it. Gone to really bad places too many times and almost killed myself. That was about a year ago. I still deal with depersonalization and derealization but I’ve become better at dealing with them. In a way derealization and depersonalization helped me realize that not everything is so serious as people seem and other things are more important. It did wake me up in a way. But it’s easy to fall into depression when you’re dealing with it. The best way to overcome it is to reconnect with humanity in a loving sense. Nothing brings you back to life better than love. I started out watching heartbreaking and heartwrenching movies and stories that would make me want to be a better person, and that’s what I would suggest to anyone going through the same thing.

If anyone is having issues with DP/DR, feel free to message me. I went through a severe bout of it for around 8 months and managed to get through it. It was quite bad. I contemplated many times to jump of a bridge or turn my car into a tree in order to "wake up" from the dream I thought I was in.
You are just experiencing a different variation of consciousness. Anxiety and stress is the trigger. Focus on grounding yourself. There is a lot more things related to DP/DR is a psychological and even metaphysical way... but we can talk about that if you feel as though you would like to message me.

Let me second his statement on depersonalization and derealization. When I had had my first shroom trip, which was low-dose but I hadn't slept well before and after, I felt both depersonalization and derealization for about a week. At first I didn't care about it, as I figured it was just a hangover effect. After a few days however, I started to get worried. I didn't know these feelings and had never heard of these two concepts. I looked it up online, and just giving it a name and the understanding that it was common among psychedelic drug users, made me feel relaxed again, and the feeling subsided within two days.
The next month or so, I felt reborn, more clearheaded than before the trip and my usual bad habits (extreme procrastination and low self-esteem) were less present. Unfortunately I didn't have habits like meditation at the time, to reinforce this newfound clearheadedness, and I returned to baseline within two months. I've done several low-dose trips since (I'm a bit hesitant of taking higher doses), but it never had the same strong benefits. Mindfulness helps a bit though, as well as a good sleepschedule.

As far as anxiety and panic it all comes down to breathing. You dont realize it but when u start panicking u breath faster. If you can control your breath you'll be ok. It works both ways if you start breathing shallow it will induce anxiety and being tense all the time. People don't realize how wound up and tense they are which also makes it harder for the body & mind to repair itself.
Shallow breathing activates your adrenaline leading to adrenal fatigue as well. People can actually become addicted to the adrenaline rush and breathe shallow. Breathing through the mouth also exacerbates the effects. Learn to breathe slowly through the nose and belly breathe concentrating on the body. A great way to get out of your head is to exercise or do something that forces you to focus on what your doing in the moment causing you to be 100% in the moment.
Eventually you will be able to turn your brain off when u want at which point your mind doesnt control you anymore. Also look into proper posture as well as tongue posture. I'm finally able to enjoy weed again without overthinking but I can also be in social situations without needing to use substances. All of this can help to avoid a bad trip or pull you out of it. I know this was a tangent but I hope it helped someone.

My dissociation, depression and paranoia/anxiety got so bad (bc the SDS) that I wasn't honestly sure If anything had, does, or ever will exist; I thought the universe was literally empty and I was the only one who knew it. I was on the brink of suicide for weeks after my trip, but I knew about your channel and your cause. Watching your videos really helped me feel understood. Hi all, I’d like to share my personal experience with tripping after a break up for anyone who’s wondering whether they should try it themselves.
I broke up with my girlfriend of around a year in May. I’d go into my reasoning for it, but I don’t think it’s really relevant to the question of whether you should take acid following a breakup. I was having doubts about whether it was the right decision and was still feeling like shit (naturally, I might add) after a week had passed. At this point I had tried acid twice before and my trips had been generally helpful, so I decided to trip again in hopes I would get some closure, or at least feel a little better about my decision.
When the time came to trip, I foolishly spent time with my friends and didn’t really focus on thinking about her. To my credit, I did try to think about the relationship and whether I had made the right decision, but I didn’t reach any conclusion due to distractions. I used the first few hours and the climax of the trip more recreationally than I had initially planned.
While I was coming down from the trip at around 9pm, my girlfriend texted me asking to come over. She admitted that she had been drinking, but claimed not to be drunk. I agreed, because I felt like I owed it to her. She was taking the break up worse than me and I was worried about her wellbeing, but this was easily the worst mistake I’ve made in my life.(For comparison, I’ve been arrested for 2 felonies and it has made my life very difficult, but it wasn’t nearly as impactful as this.)
When she came over she begged me to get back together. She was crying and even though I was on the comedown it was incredibly painful to see her so depressed and hopeless. I refused to get back together with her, holding onto the decision I had made while sober. Eventually we were both crying our asses off and she stopped asking me to get back together. Shortly after that, her sorrow turned into anger.
I can’t completely fault her for what came next, as it was my fault for letting her come over after drinking. She blamed me for wasting months of her time when I could’ve broken up with her earlier, she blamed me for wasting her summer, as she had planned it around me. She called me a liar, an awful person etc. yelling “fuck you, fuck you, fuck you” at me when I tried to tell her that her life would get better. She berated me for what felt like hours, and at the time I believed every word she was saying.
The anger did pass, and she manipulated me with threats on her own well-being to sleep with her (just sleep, despite the acid I wouldn’t have sex with her). I ended the night more emotionally drained than I have ever felt, and I went to sleep loathing myself for letting her sleep with me.
The morning after I asked her to leave, and she did. There were many more tears from both parties and she continued to beg me to get back together with her, but I still refused. I felt like complete shit, worse than I’ve ever felt in my life. I was crying for hours straight, something I’ve never had to do in my life before. I felt depressed, I hated myself and legitimately considered suicide as an escape from the pain. Because of how little sleep I got, I felt like my trip hadn’t ended and I thought that it would never end. I tried smoking to fall back asleep but I couldn’t get high and I didn’t feel sleepy at all. The day after tripping was the worse day of my life.
It’s been about a month since the break up now and I’m still feeling depressed, my confidence has been shredded. I’m getting better everyday with the help of my supportive family and friends, but I don’t imagine I’ll ever be the same optimistic, happy person that I was before the trip. Please take this as a warning if you’re considering taking acid after your break up.
I don’t want to ask for likes, but I think it’s important for people to know the dangers of tripping after a break up. Hopefully reading about my experience can help someone. Thanks to anyone who bothered reading all of this, I love you all.

Anna G did shrooms after a break up and I realized that this person I thought I loved was a sheep and was ignorant and selfish and lazy. I was blind before. The way I did it was to not think about it during the come up and peak and just be happy with my friends and stuff and then when you feel more in control and comfortable while tripping, you can start to analyze the person and the relationship and yourself, this way you're coming into the thoughts from a happy and exciting place, which will be tempting to go back to when you're dealing with your life. Talk openly how your feeling to someone and maybe by the end of the trip you will have some good insight into your problem or you may return back to earth and feel like you're fixed, like you don't need that person because you have it all in front of you right now.
This was my experience pretty much so please take caution. Good luck! There's always more people to meet, just get out there and meet them, don't let 1 person ruin your life, for any amount of time if you can help it.

I smoked weed once when I was really young and I thought my life was ruined. I assumed it was laced, but I eventually learned weed is just an intense drug when you're new to it. I ended up being fine; my mind is stable overall, and I was just overreacting to a new change. All I had to do was chill out and wait until I was an adult to do weed or any other drugs. The freaky part is though, I'm sure there are kids out there who smoke pot at 11, but their minds aren't stable enough to recover from the psychoactive overload.

I have had derealization episodes in various points of my life but for me personally I don’t think you have to give up weed, just make sure you’re at a point in your life where you’re stable and not anxious because weed can be unpredictable and uncontrollable for you, especially if you’re smoking too much!
