i love when actors riff, and play off each other - this whole series was full of comedy gold... binged it all in one day. great concept
Such an out of the box idea, and perfectly executed! I hope to see more shows like this!!
You might with this writers strike, as long as the actors bits aren’t scripted but improvised and given a guideline like reality shows get.
Not really. The first show like this was a show called Average Joe where he thought he was on a real reality show but it was all setup and he was the only one not in on it. This is just Hollywood recycling ideas and changing just a few things to make it look like a fresh new idea.
@@KrazieB7 oh man I thought the Average Joe was too cruel in some moments...like being yanked around and being lied to by EVERYONE will eff you up to the point of needing therapy. They better have some improvements made
Actually this is very much like The Joe Schmo Show from 2003... 20 years ago.
there are so many mockumentaries released.
Such a fun new concept and love-able characters! Love that they stayed in character for the side interviews, it told a fictional story and a real story at the same time!
Are you this dumb??this entire show is fake, dude.
We ❤️ it too 🤣 we hope you enjoy the series 🫶🏻
Joe Schmo show did it first.
I was showing my wife one part only. She watched the whole episode. We was crying and laughing. I was like I never knew his name but seen him in everything lmao 🤣
@@cmasterson Why do you comment the same thing
Hillarious we loved it!My favorite part was when all the other jurors shared touching moments they had had with another juror who had been hospitalized they all had paper cranes he had made them and this guy was so lost because all he had ever hear him say was"Im gonna go rub one out"
OMG! That part was hilarious! I'm so sad it's over. I don't know if they could pull another season off. I would love to see another season!
This show only worked because they found the kindest most charming young man ever. If it were me, things would have gotten ugly
Exactly. They had to find someone that knew nothing of a real jury duity process - which is super unlikely or at least4 super low odds (how he was that naive is still a mystery) much less not recognize half the cast members ... But to be fair this was in LA and I wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch fo back fill "actors" in regular jury pools.
As someone roughly that guys age, I would’ve IMMEDIATELY noticed the guy from 30 Rock, X Men, Enchanted, Dead to Me etc. the main dude must watch little TV or movies lol
Edit: I hadn’t watched the show, but now know James Marsden is playing himself as a juror, not a character lol
That was part of it! That actor was just playing himself
@@sarahwitzig I think Marcos was saying he doesn't understand how the regular guy didn't know Marsden unless he watches very little popular programming
He notices him immediately, he plays himself. It takes place in LA.
@@blazinrounds230 Gladden says he didn't watch much of Marsden's stuff or didn't realize he was in some of the his projects. He mostly knew him from X Men and wasn't sure if that was him.
@@gabelogan5877 yea but he does recognize him. It’s not like he goes through the show not knowing who he is. He gives him a copy of one of his movies as a gift.
I just watched and finished season 1 and there is definitely a smile on my face.
I recommend watching this TV series. Very clever.
Great cast, great show. Definitely worth a watch if you like unorthodox tv shows
1) kudos to the casting company
2) what a great series
3) pay those writers
4) the bailiff 👏👏👏
5) facial expressions awards to jurors #4, 8 & 5
I JUST FINISHED THIS AND BRO THIS WAS FIRE
Without any expectations I started watching the show and it turned out to be a Comedy gold!
We agree, it's comedy at its finest!
Binged it yesterday on Freevee here in the UK. Great show.
My wife was crying laughing. I was showing her the part where the guy wanted to go on vacation with his girlfriend. We ended up watching the whole episode. He is in a lot of stuff we both watch and even our 4 year old daughter but we didn’t even know lol 😂 great show. I laughed within the first 5 minutes lol 😂
This is definitely going in my top 3 shows! Its was funny and really sweet at the same moment. I don't like shows if my heart doesn't gets attached to the characters in it. Everybody in this show was great. Ronald is my role model! He's the sweetest person
I love this so much. James does such a great job acting as an actor lol. Jeannie and Noah do such a great job too as does everyone else.
This was AWESOME !! 👌🏻 Very well done !!
I absolutely enjoyed this show, Ronald is awesome. Unbelievably kind and considerate. Im pretty sure I would have several of his childern so there could be more ppl like him in the world. ❤
Great show. Good old-fashion comedy still exists.
It cracked us up too 🤣
Trevor needed Saul Goodman as his lawyer lol great show fr Ronald was amazing fr need more people like him
This type of idea could really backfire with the wrong "Truman" character. I guess they really do their homework during the selection process cause they couldn't have found a better guy.
"It's a little chilly today, but I'm about to warm it up with the heat of justice "😂😂😂😂
Love it!! 😂😂
I laughed so hard at this show, I’m so glad I gave it a chance.
We're so happy you ❤️ it! We were like 🤣
I'm on the 3rd episode and this is genius. Honestly hilariously human.
It is. Idk who thought to do it like that but it’s perfect. I was laughing so hard and crying before they selected the jury. Funniest show I have seen in 2023 lol
Une série excellente, Ronald (la seule vraie personne) est vraiment extraordinairement positif et bienveillant dans cette sérié parodique en caméra cachée. J'ai passé une bonne soirée franchement ça se regarde assez vite et sans s'arrêter
Awesome idea. Thanks to the actual creator for this show. Hilarious and brilliant
Glad you enjoyed it 🫶🏻
Really interesting show. Even more so when you think about the ethics of it all. I don't think it would have worked if they didn't find Ronald. He was the perfect lead. So genuine and kind. Well done.
Yassss!!! Glad it's coming to us!
The bed scene where Marsden is jumping up and down - I almost peed myself.?
This was so much fun to watch!!
Such a great show!!Loved it!!❤
one of the best things I've ever seen
Us too 🫶🏻 we loved it so much!
Omg then see more things ffs
I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Marsden is hilarious playing a a$$hole version of himself. What makes it really work is Ronald being a genuine nice guy. Definitely recommend it to people reading this with a good sense of humor.
Right???
I got my wife watching it now. We was crying watching just 2 minutes. We had to Google the movies he was in and crying because we forgot he was in them lmao 🤣
It was good gave those Joe Schmo feels
I bet everyone who’s watching this has a Jury Duty summoning …
Riminds me of The Joe Schmo Show. Trying saying that 5 times. 😂😂
I'm confused how James Marsden didn't give it away...
Great show....funny and dude is unintentionally a kind soul.....shows me a real world application of The Truman show is possible
Why is it not in prime in the Netherlands?
When this going to launch on Brazil?
Loved this. And you do fall in love with Ronald. He’s such a great person!
Found this on some weird channel on day, and was instantly hooked. Watched the whole thing on fuboo? I dont remember the name. But oh my god! It’s a classic.
Remarkable and a shame to be missed by most people. It reminded me of Nathan Fielder’s work.
Soaking has changed my life forever
I’ve received Jury Duty notices in the mail twice.
just watched the series, and this was fucking brilliant. whoever came up with this idea, THANK YOU.
I think the hero guy had the hots for Vannessa (woman with the dreads) a little bit.
Cuando se puede ver en Ecuador?
Loved the show, i recognized a few othet actors from smaller roles on other shows.
Interesting concept
I would recognise James Marsden right away, he has done so many movies he is an A- list actor
He's playing himself.
U dont find such clean comedy gold shows these days..these days everything is about sexualized or over abused comedy. This was a wholesome show.. Very well done. Gave office vibes to be honest. Thats what made it tick too.. Loved the guy Ronald. A very nice always smiling guy.. Very nicely done.
Hilarious! Very well written and well performed.
10 year old self in any government waiting room
I'm watching this asap
Let us know what you think 😁we hope you enjoy it 🫶🏻
So, so good! Although, they are lucky Ronald wasn't court savvy at all- James having his cell phone out and being on it in a courtroom during jury selection ...should NEVER happen! So disrespectful to the judge & proceedings! (yes- could have been intentional to give James a realistic chip on his shoulder hoping to be kicked out..ect) Unless laws are different in California- Michigan (my home state)- you weren't even allowed to bring a cell phone into the building of any court, period. until 2020. Awesome show, lovable hero & happy ending all around.
I know this is just comedy TV. BUT if jury duty is like this I feel bad for never going lol
I recognize Britta's carny boyfriend from Community and the kid from "Sex Lives of College Girls". I think also spotted an actress who was on Suits for a few episodes. This jury has too many recognizable actors.
Just supposed the guy was in on it too, and all of us were truly the ones that were fooled Lol !
That would be the biggest plot twist!
when i get jury duty im only going to pick the worst options for the person in trial
This was incredible
remember the Joe Schmo Show? that show was awesome
this show is god dam hilarious i was crying when dude pulled the im racist excuse then said i was told to say that this show is gold...."did you buy or rent sonic?" if you watched you kno the rest 🤣
Great scene 🤣 it's awesome that you 💕 the show! Us Too 🙃
This show is hilarious I'm hooked!!
id have recognized blade/sewage joe/pat/ kirk fox right away.
A SUPRISE FAVOURITE... began watching this on Prime Video and got sucked into the drama of this wonderfully crafted reality show (not sure if it qualifies, but still...) We don't have a public jury system in India but it is there and thriving in the USA where any citizen can be called to sit in on a case: requiring to be present through all its hearings, listening and taking notes and then finally giving a verdict. The case here is of a former employee of a clothing company, Cinnamon & Sparrow, who one day decides to trash its factory, setting the company back by $ 1.8 million in losses. If you've watched '12 ANGRY MEN' or its Hindi remake: the Pankaj Kapur-starrer 'EK RUKA HUA FAISLA' you will get this but be warned this one's full of LOL moments and some very intelligent casting ploys.
I loved this. Someone had a great idea.
Is that Channel 5 news anchor Jack Lame?
Just want to make sure im getting this right, so the main character is an actor too? Or is a normal dude with no idea that everything around him is fake
Joe Shmo but in court
How did bro not know some of these actors lmao
Easily lol
I didn't know who they were...other than the main movie guy
@@stephanies.114 Agreed lol 😂 I only knew James
Best thing I HAVE ever seen in my life! 😂 (LOL). 😊❤
I would’ve recognized Cyclops and Reservation Dogs dude.
Umm how do u not know who james marsden is😩🤷🏾♀️
So funny, great show a must watch 😂
I can’t watch in Brazil WTF AMAZON 😢
Fun show but I don't understand why they had to deviate so drastically from what a real trial is like. It would have been so much more interesting and pertinent if the trial was at least plausibly realistic.
Should have made Pauly Shore the judge.
So it's like the Joe Schmoe show
very jokes.
From the UK we thought it was hilarious
Plot twist. After this show, he will forever think everything is fake 😂
Nah. Plot twist - maybe Gladden learns about how Jury Duty actually works and then at least learns to question any future "legal" advertising posted on places like Craig's List OR he remains ignorant and continues to be duped as he goes through life not learning anything.
Its crazy it took them 20 years before they started using the Joe Schmo Show concept on other premise. It was so good then you would have thought it would have been copied a lot since then
YAWN !!!! The Truman Show did it looong before The Joe Schmoe Show ... and BOTH were beaten to the punch by Candid Camera (which goes back to the 1940s). It's NOT a new concept. Sorry. Fail. You're on the internet / using a website owned by a company famous for this concept called "searching" - go learn something.
Weeping Quake at Bothead Reviews...Jury Duty
"If you build it, he will come." - Field of Dreams, 1989
I think it's all fake given even I don't really care about actors or celebs but James Marsden is in enough movies for some random people to know him...
I don't understand why usa allows citizens to judge people, its a huge flaw. Citizens are not trained in law yet they are given authority for someone's life, bullshit
Spoiler…
I really have to believe Ronald is an actor too and him being duped is apart of the entire act. There’s just way too many things that had to go perfect for this to work the way it did. I truly believe Ronald is an actor and was apart of it all and the reveal is entirely scripted for the show.
My husband said the same thing while we were watching which was very annoying to me. 😂 maybe I'm gullible but I thought it was real.
Gross toilet. Should have added to the ambience by passing a solid into the sink and wiping on your shirt.
Eventually, Gladden is going to figure out what was done to him was Completely s**tty, realize every member of the cast crew etc is a total a……they should all be sued. Star struck…what a bunch of rods to be involved in something like this. Gladden is their ‘hero’ cos they are unfamiliar with how decent humans conduct themselves. A real life Truman Show. Great idea!! NOT. I just wish they would have selected (Scott) Alan Sandler for the role. They would all have held hands, jumped together.
Everyone is wearing mini microphones even the main character. That means he is in on it.
The premise is that they were being recorded for a documentary.
What a cool idea for a show. Sorry to that man tho 😂😂
This entire show is staged and the main character is in on it. Episode 4 shows everyone wearing a microphone on there shirts including Ronald. Last time I checked jurors don’t wear mics
The premise is that they were being recorded for a documentary.
I find it unhealthy, a bit like the truman show ...
I am sure the show is funny and my wife will watch it and because of that I will. However this is not a NEW concept. This is just an extended prank show where the prank lasts for days and not just a few mins. This is also not the first time anyone has done this extended prank show concept, there was a show back in the day called Average Joe. In the Average Joe show it was one guy who thought he was on a reality show but he was the only one not in on the prank. This is just Hollywood recycling ideas and changing a few things to make people believe it’s the new Hot thing.
Nowhere in the trailer did it claim this was a new concept. And half the comments here are about Average Joe. But thanks anyway. Lol
There is only one original show and it’s called the Joe schmo show. I’m sorry about the show actually looks rigged.

NGL, this seems 100% scripted, well maybe not scripted, but EVERYONE is in on it, like how Ronald interacts with people seems really sus, and just like unnatural, like even with james it seems really weird....like there is no way this guy Ronald is not in on it, or he at least figured it out within the first 20 minutes of being there.... Being apart of a "documentary" and everyone acting like this would throw up some red flags immediately.
He had to know this was all 🧢
Wait, people think this is actually real? No one in the real world is that gullible to believe that the actors weren't actors. Even after the first episode, I would have realized, and actors get in crazier as the series goes.
Civil cases have a nine person jury this show has 12. The preliminary statement is so stupid I can’t believe the mark doesn’t guess it’s just a prank. Unconvincing.
Tbh like not everyone knows that, it’s not super common knowledge plus if you think “it’s an actual court” like you’re not going to sit and question it. The actors did an amazing job so it’s understandable that it seemed real. Watch the show anyway and then if you don’t like it give it a negative review.
Bro this went on for weeks, he spent dozens and dozens of hours with these people.
That's sort of the magic of the show - when you see how wild the moments get it's hard to believe he fell for it, but as soon as he seemed like he was catching on they would reel it in and have 10+ hours of just boring, mundane jury duty stuff, to get him thinking "this can't be a put on, nothing interesting has happened for like 36 hours"
And in that situation, what's harder to believe - that you're being Truman Show'd or youre just part of a really wacky sequestered jury?
It's worth pointing out that the judge and all the lawyers were both actors and legal professionals. The defense attorney was an actual civil trial litigator. The judge had decades of experience as a judge (and if you've ever watched any of those real livestreamed trials; the judge absolutely comes off like a real judge) . They could make it seem authentic when they needed to.
I suspect that 99% of people would fall for it. The guy they chose wasn't an idiot either - it's clear that he's a smart and perceptive dude. But he also seemed like a people person, so I think he was distracted by all the tribulations and drama that was going on with the cast.
@@SquareNoggin I find it mind-boggling that people like you actually think it was real. No one in their right mind would believe any of this was real. Even after the first episode, I would have been like "I must be on a tv show" as all the actors were playing extremely crazy roles.
I've done jury service in real life, and not one person was even remotely odd. That's not to say you can't get an odd character here or there, but everyone in the show was playing extreme personalities. Surely he'd catch on that he was the only normal person in there. Not to mention all the situations that end up happening were like once-in-a-lifetime situations, and for multiple of them to happen day after day would make anyone question reality.
Everyone in the show was an actor. The whole thing is faked and i'd bet my life on it.
@@liam4184 Yeah, everyone on the show is an actor except the one guy... thats the point
I was saying I didnt realize he wasn't an actor - I thought he was an actor too. When they revealed that he wasn't, that's when I was shocked.
You seem to have entirely missed the point of my comment and the show...
They Truman Show'd a real guy. It's amazing.
@@SquareNoggin What i'm saying is that everyone in the show is an actor. Even the guy that they say "isn't an actor" clearly is. Because no real person on this earth would go into a situation like his and think it was real.
Like we don't have enough crap to watch
