Very informative - thank you. I will say that on my Mackie speakers/Apogee Duet your demo of the finished vocal preparation was nearly lost within the sound of the rest of the song. She was quite remote and not heard well. May have just been my system. However... again - I appreciate your help very much.

This is a great video, Chris. I notice that logic seems to really promote its reverb capabilities (not just space designer but also chromaverb) and yet reverb is just soooooo complicated. Loads of buttons and presets. Your approach seems to be much more simplistic. Just take a standard reverb from space designer and filter out the low ends. How do you feel about instruments sharing the same reverb as the vocals? For example, would you replace the 'native' reverb of software instruments with the one you've used for vocals? i've heard it said that too many different reverbs creates muddiness.

Reverb with MorphVox -> Logic Pro X is exactly what I needed to clean up future vocals for my animations. Delays and Space Designer I attempted, though? A no-go. It'd take too much time for me to get up to speed and with proficiency at this time.
    T'anks, Chris.

Do you have a video about how to color code the tracks and also is there an industry standard for what color certain stems are?

With the tape delay you mean you set it to "dual mono" instead of "stereo"?

Hey Chris can you please help me out with this?
I got Logic 10.4.2 after you suggested it for Smart tempo, but smart tempo just made everything WAY more complicated.
I literally just want to be able to open my existing logic template, drop in an mp3 file of the song I'm covering, and have logic create a click track for me that aligns perfectly with the song.
That way I can record, edit to the grid (and it'll be in line with the song) then export before it's mixed by someone else. That's literally it lol
I've been diving into the smart tempo editor, trying out adapt mode, auto, keep, some of them actually change the speed of the song if I do something and this has just become more extra and difficult than it was before lol
Is there any easy way to do what I need out of Logic?

Great tutorial!! I always wondered why i would some effects on mono instead of stereo. One question i have is why you have your effects output going out the same output as your vox bus and what is the name of bus 31 if you already have a vox bus?

Thanks Torrance! When it comes to vocals, I often like to use parallel compression and parallel pitch shifting. Since I feel those are very much a part of my final vocal sound, I choose to group them in the same track stack with the vocals, going to the same bus output. Bus 31 is my Submix. It's basically a "Stereo Output" before the actual Stereo Output. That way I can process my whole mix with Compression, EQ, etc without impacting any reference tracks.
