We can always count on you Bethany! You are one of the first people on RUclips that I started to watch. Your projects are what got me hooked! Just a couple of tips for anyone who needs them. I live in the Midwest. We get snow here in my area. If you do the adorable reindeer project be sure to seal it with Helmsman Spar Urethane. Get the water based so it doesn’t yellow your project over time. This will protect the wood from the weather much better than anything else IMO. Also if you are using fairy lights outdoors be sure to protect the battery pack just as you would connections on your outdoor lights. If you make the outdoor presents I would be sure to use them on a covered porch. Even then if you get snow I would make sure that water isn’t sitting in the bottom of the basket. I myself can’t wait to make some of these projects. 🤞🏻 Fingers crossed and with a prayer, hopefully I can find what I need form DT. That’s ALWAYS the hardest part. When I can’t find what I need or items I can substitute to make the projects I want to do I always make notes and list so I can create it the next year and get everything I need early. 😊

I like the matter-of-fact presentation and practicality of these. They’re not so complex that beginners would be intimidated, they offer either an end result or a starting place for people to add their own touches, and they show that you can come back and tweak it if it doesn’t come out the way you want. Also, the smooth ornaments were shape a LOT like sleigh bells and I think you could just paint a dot with a line at the bottom and boom, sleigh bells. Maybe paint it gold or silver, but red works too. One thing that made me laugh though... the elf on the candy cane kinda looed like what Santa does to elves who displease him and I’m actually tempted to make some for a Goth display.
I did the ornaments with Toni at "Your house a Home TV" last year. I have them hanging in my picture window and I always get compliments on them. The gifts were made from the smaller see through colored or clear containers. They work perfect for gifts!!!!!

The best idea for diy gift box decor is using cooling racks, creating a box form and attaching with zip ties and wrapping in mesh, it works better than the plastic bin things but I think itd also cost a few dollars more. I like the simplicity of the candy cane decor as well. You have a lot of cute ideas!

FYI, anytime I cut plastic, I use a lighter to melt the very edge, so that it isn't sharp, the lighter melts it enough to make it safer. Works great on plastic like those baskets.
I like the idea of outdoor lighted gift boxes. I think I would get some sort of outdoor fabric or a weatherproof tablecloth and wrap the plastic box with it so it looks like wrapping paper. The lights could be wrapped around the outside along the red and white ribbon.

Those giant ornaments are amazing! I think I would paint little keyhole looking things on the bottom of the plain red one to make it look like a bell! Hopefully, I can make some of these this year!
With the gift basket boxes you could wrap the bare basket "box" with a dollar tree plastic tablecloth before adding ribbon. (Leaving a way to access the lights). That way it can get wet if it snows and lights shine through the plastic.
