- Ever wonder whether a game is worth your time? Want to see how it plays, how well it teaches you the game, and whether it can excite you in the first 60 minutes? Let One Hour Hero do the work for you and you can bounce around to see what you need to see to make a decision!
When everyone I knew got into MHW I knew it was not something I would enjoy. It seemed too much like WoW's eternal grind- do this thing over and over to get better loot to do this thing over and over and btw you better do all this other stuff and follow the meta exactly or you'll never get anywhere or be able to play with anyone. As an antisocial gamer (someone who prefers the pace of single-player games where jerks in hot pink bikinis named KawaiiGF18 can't ruin my fun), I'm already a little biased against games that force you to play with others.
In this case, it's a super complicated mess for first time players. After an hour, I'd barely done an actual quest, I had little idea where things were, and it feels like there's an ocean of options and side events and important tasks to do outside just fulfilling quests... and I feel like I'd need more tutorials and wikis to cover any of it. This just isn't my thing.
Been a while since I played Monster Hunter Word. I also made a female character in the game.
