- For this week's Food Network Livestream, I am making a cake inspired by the flavor and decoration or circus animal cookies!! While I remember buying these at the grocery store as a kid, I had the hardest time finding them here in Manhattan! After no luck trying three different grocery stores, I ended up buying a few packs on amazon.
To me, there are three things that make circus animal cookies so great; their color, their coating, and all those colorful sprinkles!! The bright white and pink colors are so iconic and playful, and these were the two colors I wanted to incorporate into the decoration of this cake. The next thing that makes them special is the white chocolate coating!!! It takes the cookies from regular animal crackers to whole new level. I chose to add white chocolate into the cake layers, the frosting, and used it to make a ganache drip. I also used a ton of non-pareil sprinkles while decorating the cake, and added them between the layers. The recipe and tutorial can be found here: chelsweets.com

I'm a pink girl so I'm totally in LOVE with your cake!! Can you share what color/s you used to get your gorgeous pink? And YES Hallelujah to Amazon! Thanks for sharing your gift!!!

Those are my favorite cookies! I buy them at wallmart in the cookies area they have it! I also grew eating them!! Beautiful cake as always! Thanks for the tips!
I’m addicted to these cookies. If I buy a bag, I eat them all in one sitting!! Haha.

Chelsea can do make a video showing how you use your scale to evenly divide your batter? ☺️
sure! I'll try to share a video of that soon!!
OMG Girl this is my favorite cookie and I loooove the frosting too 😍😍😍❤️📸👏😋G😋R😋E😋A😋T 😍J😍O😍B‼️💯
haha right?!?! takes me right back to me childhood, I used to eat these cookies all the time!!!
Beyond Gorgeous
I have been looking for those cookies too! I'll order online :)
Also what do you do with the remaining half of the frosting? I know you make cakes all the time so you probably reuse sooner. But any tips for someone who bakes not as often? And what do you do with really small amounts left of different color frosting? Thats my biggest dilemma dealing with the left overs and not wanting to waste anything. Thanks
you can place it in an airtight container and refrigerate it or freeze it! It keeps for up to a month in the fridge, or 3 months in the freezer, since it's mostly just butter and sugar!
Beginner cake maker here. To ease the strain on myself, is it possible to cut the white chocolate cake recipe in half to only get 2 tiers? And if so, is it as easy as just using half the ingredients in this process? P.S. thanks for the birthday cake inspiration!
You can definitely halve the recipe and make a cake with two layers, to make it more approachable!! I recommend that :)
How much batter do you put in each layer? I know you mentioned using a kitchen scale, so I was wondering how many ounces/grams? Do you measure the batter in the bowl, then divide it? Or do you weigh each pan? Looooooooove this cake! Can’t wait to try it! 💜💜
I just evenly divide the total amount by four, until all pans are within 10 grams of each other! It varies a bit each time I make my batter!
Chelsweets perfect! Thank you! 💕
Wow it's beautiful I 😍
Why are there 4 dislikes?!! This video is great.. Thank you! NEW SUBBIE😀😀😀
Aw you're too sweet Fallon! Thank you!!
Why do you usually go for the American buttercream over a Swiss meringue? Your buttercream always looks AMAZING!!!! So fluffy and smooth. I usually go with a Swiss meringue, but it takes so much longer to make ive been trying to figure out how to make AB taste better.
I just like the way it tastes! I really dislike the texture of SMBC, and I also love how easy ABC is to make!
What cake stand do you use?
it's an Ateco 612!
Awesome Cake.. :-)

Do you eat all the cake u make or u gave it away?
I cut them up, and bring them into work for my coworkers to eat! I don't sell any of my cakes
Haven’t you done this cake already? Or maybe I saw it on your website 🤔 lol 🤷🏼♀️
Haha my timing between my platforms is a bit wonky right now!! I shared the recipe a while back, and made the design for a livestream, but haven't shared it on YT or insta yet :P
