I purchased one of these and it failed after two months with the slide extended. I was at home and with tools I managed to get the slide back in but it could have caused a major issue if away. Although the distributor have been helpful and it has now been replaced Thule offered no help or support with their product. I am not concerned that when this product is out of warranty I will have no help if it fails. Maybe far simpler solutions are better.
