My very straightlaced father turned me on to Dylan in 1963, when I was 12 years old. We were riding in his car on NYC's Westside Highway, when a Dylan song came on the radio, and dad told me he thought Dylan was brilliant. To this day, I have no idea how my father even knew who Dylan was, but I will never forget the moment. I miss you, Dad.
The truthfulness of Dylan’s words meant that all but the worst of us would appreciate his genius. Rest in peace to your father, I’m sure he was a great man.
This guy is the reason im not dead right now i was depressed and wanted to take my life but i found this guy and realising there was hope and now i have a good life thank you Bob Dylan
Well done for realising that your family and friends need you on this earth. And then look around yourself - and see how many other people, that you don't even know - need you!!!!! Give 50 bucks to a destitute person tomorrow - see the look in their eyes - and see how that makes you feel. it's beautiful.
I always interpreted the line, "the answer is blowin' in the wind", as indicating that the answer is there, we can all see it, it's tangible, but every time we reach out it just blows in the wind. We all know how to not be violent and treat each other with dignity, yet we always fail somehow, no matter how hard we seem to try.
The lyrics of this song bring tears to my eyes, especially with the shape of the world today. There are so many problems that have not been addressed. More have been added, and still, "the answers are blowing in the wind."
Nothing like a campfire in the mountains, sitting under the stars with friends and a guitar, singing this song... did this when I was younger.. loved it!
I've talked with my mom about how Bob Dylan was releasing a lot of stuff when she was fourteen, and now that I'm fourteen he still has new albums coming out!
u're lucky to grow listening to such an amazing singer . it's my french teacher who told us about him last week and here I'm now listening to this beautiful song while walking to my highschool !!

Like you, I discovered Dylan whilst at school. An inspirational teacher who believed there was more to English Literature than Shakespeare and the great poets and novelists, brought his Bob Dylan albums in one Friday afternoon 55 years ago (1966). Yeah, a lifetime ago but, I'm still in thrall to that young troubadour.
I wasn’t alive anywhere close when this song came out but this song is genuinely electrifying. One of those “you had to be there” moments in history. It’s a simple song yet says so much. I remember during Covid lockdown when I was a high school sophomore, I found this song and fell in love with the work of Bob Dylan. In my personal opinion, the greatest songwriter of all time.
Music saved many lives & good lyrics are motivating kernels. In 1970s a man depressed due to some incident wanted to take own life , but in Radio a song of Md. Rafi was broadcasted" na much chupake jio , Na sar jhuka ke jio" , Don't hide your face & don't bow your head , in hard & depressing time , smile & live.

Will never forget the black and white video of a very young Dylan with his guitar at one of the civil rights rallies in the 60s. You don’t have to be old to be wise. His heart is in the right place. Love you Dylan.

Funny, because this guy literally cannot sing. His worst performance though was in ‘We are the world’. He ruined that song with his part. His audiences must be tone deaf.
Imagine playing Jimi Hendrixs' "All along the watchtower", while strolling thru the jungles of Vietnam, "looking for Charlie". That'll bring tears to your eyes too.
'Blowin' in the Wind' serves as a powerful anthem for social change, urging us to confront injustice and strive for a better tomorrow. Its relevance remains undiminished, inspiring countless individuals to advocate for peace, equality, and compassion. Thank you, Bob Dylan, for this masterpiece that continues to stir hearts and minds with its powerful message of hope and activism.

Such a beautiful song. Fantastic lyrics. This song, like so many others of BOB DYLAN, make me feel nostalgic about the 60's, probably the Happiest decade of my life. The country was ALIVE back then.

@@TheRojo387 His music makes a little more sense then some things I've seen, the last few years. I don't know if he would make a good president, I just threw that out there. This song will always remind me of Ding❤❤❤The purest world champion to ever exist, the player with the innocent smile that lights up the world💫
Lovely song that takes you out of yourself and compels you to look at what we normally don't notice. A song of beauty is a joy forever.
How long? Thats easy to me. A circle of guitars and other folk who know ghi a and other songs. 60 years later I tap my phone and it is alive. Thank you Mr. Dylan.

Some folks think Dylan would make a wonderful president! I'm one of those folks!
@@jasonyost1479 Oh sure, like we want Dylan's Lullaby to be America's anthem?
@@TheRojo387 His music makes a little more sense then some things I've seen, the last few years. I don't know if he would make a good president, I just threw that out there. At least, someone replied to it. I appreciate that. I'm not much into the politics. I don't have any control of it. I have a couple DUI's, my bad, but, I haven't even checked to see if I can vote. I did figure out how to fix the DUI's. It took me 45 yrs to realize I just needed to quit drinking. 3 yrs+, since I had a drink. Not bragging just saying. Thanks, again, for replying. Hope you & your loved ones, Stay Safe. World is a harder place to live in, than it was a while back. Or, maybe I'm just getting older. 👍🤔👍
God I love this song so much. Everyone should listen to this song before they think to harm anyone.
Such a beautiful song , who’s still here in 2024? ❤️
Mee, and im from Spain
Forrest Gump and naked Jenny brought me here!
Here. I recently started listening to him more and more.
I am.
Happy Birthday Bob Dylan.
(My own son Dylan, who was named after you & Dylan Thomas will be 19yrs 1st June. And absolutely loves your music too) 🙏🏻

Amen, Brother!
I’m 82 and still inspired by Bob Dylan’s Music.
Same as at 60, 👍
Me too!
I was at boarding school in the UK in 1963 when I first heard this, all those years ago. I was 15 and it made a lasting impression.
I've been listening to this song for over 50 years!?!? And I'm still always surprised how raw and emotional it is. It's more like something you would here by a ravaged old blues singer than by a kid barely old enough to drink or drive. God bless you Bobby
I have been hearing it for 28 years and I never get enough. That's not a song that you start disliking after listening to it many times.
its bad ig

Today is march 23rd, 2021. This song is more relevant today than it was when it was written.
“One night in Miami” brought me here. I forgot how relevant this song is even in 2021. Sad but True!!
