I lived in London for a while, and I've found the red brick buildings (mainly in the suburb) added to the rainy weather give a rather sinister aspect to the city. But on a much positive aspect, I appreciate the dynamism of the city which is very lively at night and many shops are open 24 hours/7 days a week that are not common in most european cities.
