I watched Omnidog review Gwenpool. That is when I learned that she wasn't just a gender bender of an established character. The concept interest me, and then I tried to get the trades. That is when I noticed some of the tpb volumes are going OOP. So I gave up because I couldn't read the whole run, I figured I would wait for a complete collection.
This omnibus was a surprise, and after reading Superman Smashes the Klan, I had to get the Gurihiru art. I did pre-order the book and I'm excited to get it. Thank you Omar.
The art really pops
this was a surprise when they announced it, the omnibus have been nice to for some characters who might not be great but can get them between waiting for wolverine and x-men.
and it has an anime-esque feel in some ways but it is an isekei... normal person transported into another world that she haas advanced knowledge of and somewhat gets a power trip fantasy.
It's sold out nearly everywhere, incredible how popular she is considering how niche she should be

My first introduction to Gwenpool was in the pages of the Howard the Duck omni. Like you Omar, I didn't think much of the character going in, but she won me over in the end. Seriously tempted by this one, might have to save up for it though 😅
Have never read her comics before, I ordered this solely because the art looked really really solid and peaked my interest just enough. On another note the Squirrel Girl omni was in the same boat for me but when I seen a paperback at B&N the art style was what put me off and made me decide not to pre-order that omni. Gwen was in the same boat at first but this art actually looks enjoyable compared to Squirrel Girl which was way too cartoonish but in a bad way to me, which isn't something that usually bothers me but her art just didn't look good imo.
I can't wait to get my copy.

Ordered this last night after reading Unbelievable Gwenpool last year! Excited for it. Its a real shame she seemingly got one run that was absolutely loved and then just.. nothing good after
I liked Guruhiru's art so that alone is worth it but also enjoyed the MODOK storyline.
Whoever decided to make the dust jacket blue instead of pink needs to be fired.

I was always confused if gwenpool was the same character as spider gwen lol I just learned today that they are not....

Its better to buy thes Omnibus books rather than trade paperbacks anymore. Id rather spend 30 - 40 bucks on a whole book than upwards of 7 bucks each on say 25 issues
I honestly prefer her over Deadpool and this is coming from a massive Deadpool fan
I've read some of the singles and enjoyed them. They made me think this how 4th wall breaking should be done properly.
I ordered the sw cover edition and am looking forward to getting it.
I hope that people who buy this will get a laugh and not take it seriously. This book is ment to make you laugh and sometimes Bury your head with the stupid jokes that really work.
Aside her main story line, how readable are the others? Are Edge of Venomverse 2, S.Spidey 7-8, Secret Empire, Howard the Duck, ... good readable alone?
I totally love Gwenpool.
The only reason to buy this is the artwork by guruhiru because the the first 3 volumes only shipped a combined total of 9000 unit.
I have mine preordered, hopefully it ships soon. Can't wait!
