such a beautiful moment when see this couple are so content with simple tea time delicacies. just with teh o less sugar and 5pieces kuih keria they enjoyed every bits of it. such a humble couple they take time to reminisce back of how they did the kuih themself back in hong kong and meticulously discuss the technique of preparing by observing the show owner. they can breakdown each part of the character of that kueh and how they are perfect in their own original authentic taste.. im so inspired with you guys.. somehow i can relate of the effort of making the kueh on your own when youre away from your hometown.. hardly to get it right so when you get the chance to taste the real authentic one..you will cherish it to the most! and yes food does make us happy!

I can’t stop smiling looking at you guys trying this, not many travelers gets to try this, you guys have been here long enough to be able to dig more and more jewel in Malaysia. I think kuih keria is good with Kopi O.
I’m a 75 year old Chinese Singaporean. I love kuih keria BUT I don’t really like those that are with sugar on the outside or caramelised with gula melaka. Reason being that it weighs down those mini kerias making them less fluffy . Also that it’s messy to eat. Many years ago I was invited for Tea at my friend’s house. Her Indonesian helper made keria …. without sugar on the outside ( & no gula Melaka). When she prepared the batter, she added sugar into it. Wow !! I loved those kerias. Soooo fluffy & tasty !! I These 30 years or so…. I’ve been searching for this type in Singapore. . but to no avail 😕 PS: those with icing sugar or with gula Melaka are easily available in Singapore.
Tq I-Chang & Jimmy for this great video. I take for granted that it's easy to do cucur keria. Your video shows the real effort by the workers. I love your honest reviews & opinions about the food you both tasted. Keep it up👍🏻👍🏻
