Asam pedas is known as Melaka dish just like in Pahang famous with ikan patin masak tempotak. each states has it's own special food that represent their state
That asam pedas looks good, right thickness in the gravy and can see right amount of tamarind is used by how brownish the gravy is. It's nice to see Japanese also have learn to appreciate and love Asam Pedas and it's flavours, 1 of my fav dish and I like stingray or tetel(beef tripe) asam pedas.
Sweet couple which love to eat Malaysian food. Besides, made entertaining videos and at the same time makes me proud of my country. Thanks guys from the bottom of my heart.
Ulam is severely underrated, even by most of us locals. Its tremendous to see it get the love and appreciation it deserves =]
Yes I can't agree more. It's not easy to find authentic malay food with fresh and plenty of ulam choices. Not all restaurants have it. Ulam and sambal belacan is a must for me if im having authentic malay food

This is my 1st time watching. I am really impresed when u talk about Kaffir Lime, Ikan Pari, Ulam, Sambal. U can tssye the difference. So amazing. Iam learning to appreciate our culture through yoir eyes. 😜
I tried a few times Asam Pedas Pak Man at their Ujang Pasir Branch & Pak Man Asam Pedas is one of the best if not the best. Even their Chicken Rice is Yummilicious! There’s once my son ate 2 plates of their Chicken Rice!
Fuiyoh that asam pedas ikan pari had me salivating wey 🤤 i love how jimmy and ichang eyebrows raised when they eat good food. So enjoyable to watch they enjoy local cuisine

Terbaik iChang and Jimmy. Now you have tasted the authentic Malacca dish Asam pedas. Time for you to go further up to Negeri Sembilan and try their authentic dish as well, Masak Lemak Chili Api/ either its Daging Salai ( smoked beef ) or Ikan keli (catfish) or Telur Itik (duck egg).
Mau gone jimmy kena masak lemak daging salai .
Must go ichang jimmy next nogori food keli salai masak lemak standby la pedas haha
One of my favourite Melaka food is their Pork Satay with Savoury marinade instead of sweet.. so far I can only it find in Melaka

Most Melaka cuisince more to saltiness, spicy and balance taste without sugar unless it is said "sweet sour" dish.
Most sweetened dish come from east cost Malaysia, especially from Kelantan.

Welcome to my hometown state guys. Melaka was famous for asam pedas. Sometimes I dipped it with Pisang goreng or cream crackers. Taste so delicious 🤤😋😋. The first ulam called ulam raja( had mint taste and last one I think daun tenggek burung ( bitter n sweet - good for diabetics people..hahaha) keep looking at our secret gems guys that we always kept for ourselves 😁😁

Love asam pedas. You should try the asam pedas cooked in claypot, there are 2 restaurants in melaka, dahlea ria restaurant and asam pedas claypot, both restaurants on the same street in melaka near jonker street. At dahlea ria, besides asam pedas, you can try masak lemak chili api and curry.

The beef asam pedas at this restaurant was superb . That was one of the best dish ever tried in Malaysia . Service was superb and waiter were so helpful and they had fast service.
That's beef tripe, I like to eat it with bageutte, dip with asam pedas beef tripe, heavenly.
As we born and rise at Malacca "orang melake"....the most delicious asam pedas is the cooked by our mother.
Malacca stingray curry is the best 😋😋😋.

I just watched your "Goodbye Malaysia" video. There is so much emotion and love attached to Malaysia. Processing immigration stuff can take a lot time. You deserve to be Honorary Citizens of Malaysia. Your videos are amazing to watch and you both have an excellent command of English. Your accent adds flavour to the videos. I left Malaysia a long time ago but visit family often. On my next visit I will be travelling to Melaka to try these dishes thatbypu enjoyed so much 😋

Asam pedas is one of my favourite dish. Usually the southern state's ie Johor and Melaka are more pronounced in their taste and texture.The uniqueness of asam pedas you could add numerous variety of ingredients ie fish as well as meat.Itsup to the person concerned which is preferably. For me l expecially like my asam pedas with fish eggs in it
