The best beginner tool is to join various competitions like capture the flag. Learning all these tools is great but without practical experience, it can slow you down. Hackthebox is a good example. Learning the tools while you apply them is a faster approach.
My sister just got accepted into college for Cyber Security and when I found your channel, I just had to recommend. Absolutely helpful tips❤️
Omg thats awesome! Congratz to your sister and thanks so much for the support Nina
What college ?
@@wilfriedbini3350 It’s a College in my home country, Nigeria
@@ninanegedu Ah OK it's great
@@ninanegedu which college,please?
I am currently in an accelerated Cyber Security program but can't wait to take your course to help me get a job.
Thanks, Sandra! This is very helpful! To get started in cyber security, I've enrolled in the simplilearn cyber security program.
I work in cybersecurity and I love your channel! There’s always plenty to learn
What do you do?
Can you mentor me in cyber security?
I work hand in hand with Cybersecurity staff as a Firewall and NAC resource and it’s very helpful for me if their networking concepts are solid.
I don't know if this qualifies as "basic" per se, but starting CompTIA certification, so you can eventually get up to security+; has obvious advantages
Thank you for this informative video as always 😁♥️
Awesome tips! Thank you for sharing :D
Thank you for watching Luca!😁
Great job Sandra! Thanks!!
Thanks so much John! Hope you’re doing well☺️
This is dead on! Keep going! The community at large appreciates your videos!
Sandra, such good info - thanks! Just a little piece of advice and I hope you take it well. When you talk, try to not end your sentences as a question, like "this will provide backgrooound?" I think Kali Linux is.... in the industry?? It makes your sentences sound like you are not certain, it just takes authority from what you are saying, and your content is great! Hope this helps, it comes with only good vibes! Thanks!
I know nothing about cybersecurity but your channel really helped me to get an idea of it and after doing more research about this career I’m really leaning towards it now but kind of scared because ina way because it seems like a lot to learn. I hope it’s not too bad

Thanks for the great video! One skill I'd recommend is very basic system administration for either Linux or Windows systems :)

IBM cyber security certification is good for the job?
Another great video 👍🏻
Glad this was helpful Jim! :)

What kind of hardware would be best when working in cyber security? laptop, chromebook or desktop? what kind of specifications are needed? any recommendations?
Good video! keep it up. :)
Thanks for watching Dan! :)
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Hi there I have 3 more classes to graduate as a Cybersecurity digital forensics. Is there any way I can reach out to you to kind of answer some questions I have?
Tysm for your videos!
What is your take on IBM certifications? IBM gave me financial aid to take their Cybersecurity courses.
Thanks so much for watching! I havent had experience taking their certs myself but I know more and more big tech companies are coming out with their own courses, usually revolving around their specific technologies, I’d say go for it if it’s free through financial aid anyway and the topics are interesting to you, but one thing to keep in mind is that an employer may not necessarily be looking for a niche certification from IBM, so I’d still want to go for a common security cert as well like the Security+ or equivalent. Hope this helps and good luck with your certs! 😁
Thank you for the video, found it really insightful. I would also like to know where I can get free cybersecurity materials.
Please does anyone have a note or questions to focus and prep for Vulnerability Management interviews. Please help a brother secure a job.
What certifications do you recommend to start into cybersecurity? Do you recommend getting network+ or ccna to get some knowledge in networking and from there move into cyber?
Go for ejpt by elearnsecurity
@@onkar5506 is that one more valuable than security+?
@@stevevazquez1429 ejpt is practical certification which will clear most of your web application pentesting concepts, comptia S+ is multiple choice paper, I don't feel it worth for money
@@onkar5506 do they also have for network on that elearnsecurity since I don't have knowledge on that? Or can I uust do ejpt?

what's next after CCNA ?
Why you are in the Hotel room?
For the Simplilearn's Cyber Security Program do you need any previous cyber security experience? Or can you go in fresh
I just enrolled yesterday, it’s very helpful for beginners. Goes over basics I’m in so far. 🎉
Hello, Dear..the book you've appointed is not a good one. Please, correct it!
Hi, I was wondering how much of an impact what school you receive your degree from can have on your marketability in the job market place? I am currently considering going for a masters in cyber security.
30 to 35% need for cybersecurity specialist right now for the next 10 years. Database Analytics is also high on the list for a career, I haven't made up my mind on which way to go as well. I am working on my Bachelor's in Cybersecurity and Software Assurance. I have 1 year left to graduate, but I have been in IT for 30 years. Just now getting around to my degree
Excel will be your best friend and worst enemy in this field lol. I have nightmares about spreadsheets when I half way go to sleep at night.
What? How, in what capacity?
Lol I have to write a lot of reports.
Are you a Cy error security specialist
❤️
Top skills:
1) Cry
2) cry some more
3) get rejected
4) cry hard-core
5) get rejected again.
6) work whatever job they give you.
7) question your life.
And don't take a 6 to 8 month course and think your ready. We tend to go back and fix problems. Many schools have a 2 year course. Boot camp are great to take the test and to get yourself sued.
I think it'd be great if u filtered out the background noise and made your tone a little less uninterested, i like what u do keep it up!
You could maybe try some background music

learn kali linux? come on now...
I'd sugest "building" your own copy of kali linux, with a debian as the base, or a debian based distro
This video is very red team oriented. But most cybersecurity specialists are going to be in blue team.
this is an add

GOD I FKING LOVE UR FACE!!!
I listen to a great many channels on youtube and from different countries.
Am I the only one having trouble understanding what she is saying? She speaks too fast and the words are not clear. She speaks as if she is in a hurry somewhere. Strange. First time for something like this.
Sorry but SimpliLearn is a crap system. I've completed their Cyber Security Master program and wasn't impressed. Their materials and customer service were extremely limited.
clickbait
Why click bait this with a thumbnail of asian girl in a night dress?? have you stereotyped the entire internet that you need this kind of a thumbnail to draw attention? all your videos have similar thumbnail, please change it, not all of the IT industry are made of males looking for a asian girl in a night dress, maybe i need to take the mind out of the gutter for being a hypocrite 😂😂, good content though 👍👍
Any vids on cybersecurity sales? Sorry I've not searched your page. Thanks!
Just got my Sec+. KALI LINUX.
Congrats on your Sec+!! That’s awesome 😁🥳
