This song was played by Steven Curtis Chapman at Fusion Alaska 2007, and I cried and held on to my dad so hard and I was sixteen! This proves, to all you teenage girls out there, that you are always going to be your daddy's little girl!

this is the most beautiful song i've ever heard in my entire life. I'm 20 years old and i live in Argentina, and i wouldn't have been able to heard this song without the help of the Jonas Brothers, because i have the amazing lucky to be their fan and they played this song with steven curtis chapman at one of their shows.
thanks steven if you read this sometime, for writing the most beautiful song that has the power of making me cry everytime i hear it.

Thanks for writing this song. My daughter is now 16 months old and since she was about 2 weeks old, I have been dancing to Cinderella with her in my arms every night before bed. Now she is starting to sing along to the words. Thanks for letting me realize how to slow down and enjoy these moments.

Thank you for this song; I have chosen this as my father-daughter dance selection at my wedding in a couple years. My father is not alive, but I wanted him in a way represented. I will be dancing with my father's brother, then my godfather (mom's brother), and finally my [by then] father-in-law. In a way, I'm representing my own father through these other fatherly figures in the dance. Thanks again for a beautiful song; makes me cry every time. God Bless.

I love this song SO much... My dad and I have this very special relationship, and he went into the hospital this summer right after my birthday and I could not keep my composure so I had to lean on GOD for strength. He was fine but was in the ICU over night and I can't imagine my life with out my earthly father I can't wait until I get to dance with my heavenly father. DAD I love you sooooo much.

SCC is the greatest Christian song artist of my lifetime. I grew up in the 80s listening to Stephen. It's unreal that he's still authoring such great lyrics and music. Stunning. God bless you and your wife Stephen. You are a gift to us all. So glad I shared this side of heaven with your music.

I heard this song before SCC lost his daughter, and then I thought it was amazing..... Then, his daughter died, and it truly makes me sit back.....and think about how life is truly a GIFT. I know we can't run a thousand miles a second to catch every second, however, the most precious gifts in life are those little amazing gifts from GOD.. SO, hug em tight as you can, kiss em as much as you want, and love em with all your heart......before you know it, they will be all grown up..... GOD BLESS

Cry cry, I love my daddy, but he didn't take much interest in my life, other than making sure we had what we needed, of which I am very thankful. The song is what I want for my Children and Grandchildren. I need a GOOD husband tho, mine is very selfish and needs a heart change. Oh, and he's divorcing me BTW. Thank you for the Beautiful Song. I relate it to my Heavenly Father who REALLY LOVES ME!!!!! Please pray for my kids and the many who have not had good parents as examples. GOD BLESS YOU!

Steven has been a brilliant musician for decades, but this is his crowning achievement thus far. I lost two immediate family members within a year. The difference between my family and the Chapman family is that Christ is the center of their family, and mine wasn't. The Chapman family is still together, and mine isn't. It's been blown apart. Stay close, Chapmans. My heart and prayers go out to you.

    Dear Friends in the Lord
Seven years ago our family lost our 7 year old granddaughter. She was precious and loved to swirl in pretty dresses. She wanted to be a doctor. She became ill suddenly and we lost her so quickly none of us were prepared. I can only tell you that time does ease the ache in our hearts but our family has and never will be the same. We love you all.
Perhaps little Maria is playing on golden streets with our little Delanie Lynn.

This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear of it. :) Especially because a sweet little 4 year old who I babysit, her father died of ARDS, and she danced to this at her daddy's funeral, it was the most adorable thing in the world. This song reminds me so much of all the pain and suffering in my life being ok. Keep writing Steven Curtis Chapman!

i never had a dad. the closest thing i had was my grandpa and he was everything to me. he was better than my real dad could ever be. but i never got to dance with him, even when i was going to the ball. he left me too soon when i was 10 years old. i know he's dancing up there in Heaven but it still hurts... i love you papa. 3/16/02

God bless your family at this time. My daughter is getting married next year and she had picked this song for her wedding dance with her father about two weeks before the accident. It was already very moving...now I just cry when I hear it. It's such a strong reminder to treasure our family and friends.

Amazing song. So sorry for your loss, I think from this I learned that I never want to lose a second with my dad. God bless you and your family in this time of sadness. Remember that she is with God and he is taking care of her. =]

This is such a beautiful song! It is so touching. I actually thought this song was written for and dedicated to his youngest daughter, Maria Sue, after she had passed away. Then I realized that this song was written and performed before the tragedy occurred. How incredibly sad and eerie at the same time. How tragic that Steven thought he'd lose his children to the world as they grew into adults but all he describes will never happen for his youngest child. So so tragic :( RIP Maria

I have a four year old daughter and I have not been able to listen to this song or watch this video without crying. Time is going by so fast and I try to appreciate every moment she wants to be with me because I know it won't last forever. I know this song is geared toward dads but it speaks to my heart also. Love your family and treasure every moment you have with them.
