Building my own VESC based Shredwheel!!!

This video is to showcase how easy it is to build your own Onewheel and my hope is to encourage people who are on the fence or are about to start there own journey. This is not a how to video but it should give some in-site on what the average person should expect.
I went with the cheapest and easiest option using old XR parts and plan on expanding in the future hoping to get an 84V battery and BMS.

I have an old XR with a bad BMS. Sounds like this will get that board going again. I’ll have to look into the cost of it all before I decide, tho.
Can I use my original, OEM electronics enclosure instead of buying a 3D printed one?

You can sell the FM controller for 500 and then buy the vesc parts you need for about the same price.

FM controller goes for 500?! Holy crap. And I was just going to throw the whole thing in the trash because it’s been sitting in my house for a couple of years, broken. Thanks for the heads up.

@@BrokenToeKnee controller goes for 650 in Canada same for just a BMS probably 600 for the motor as well. Parts are always in demand

Thanks a bunch. Probably going to take me a few months to get this project going - My plate is full with a bunch of other stuff at the moment. (such as a boosted MiniX with a bad battery pack. It's always something).
