The Wind and The Wave are Dwight Baker and Patty Lynn. This awesome video was shot, directed, edited and partially styled by Austin's ever-amazing Jeff Ray.
Thank you to the Plain White T's for having them along this summer tour! It was so great to be introduced to such raw and naturally beautiful music. Dwight and Patricia's harmonies are something else. So great to meet and see you two live in St. Louis. Everyone do yourself a favor and share their music. People need to hear this.
The Wind and The Wave makes some of the realest and best music I've heard in a long time. I'm excited to see them continue to grow and put out more amazing music!
This video was done very well. I like it a lot, I love where the outside shots were done and the one that is done in the hotel room appears late at night and they want to get it just right and guess what, they did. Patty has a wonderful voice
Beginning as a post-rockish type band and minimalizing to a sort of Folk/Indie duo, it's still kinda nice, at least 2 of them are still playing music :)
I love how you sing the R's has a Texas twang to it that makes the approach unique and memorable. i.e. the r in start. more like starrrr(t) with a silent t. great musicality.
