    Jormungandr’s life cycle
    Atreus is told by future Jorm to go to iron wood -> Atreus resurrects a snake with a giant’s soul -> Snake grows fast and becomes jormungandr who fights thor -> Thor sends jormungandr back in time -> Jormungandr lives in midgard past that snakes birth -> Meets kratos and atreus -> Tells atreus to go to ironwood
    The cycle continues

    So let me get this straight: Atreus and Angrboda "birth" the World Serpent by giving a regular giant snake the soul of a Giant, which causes it to become massive. Said young Jormungandr shows up at the battle of Ragnarok, where it fights Thor. Thor then sends young Jormungandr back in time with this fight, where it proceeds to chill out in Midgard for a long time, before meeting Kratos & Atreus and helping them. A little bit later, he tells Atreus to go to Ironwood... which then leads to Atreus meeting Angrboda, acquiring the marbles, and then birthing Jormungandr by putting a Giant's soul in a giant snake.
    Huh. That's pretty cool.

      You can say it's a stretch, but the "Bites it's own tail" could even be a metaphor for the cycle the Jörmungandr goes through in this franchise.
      He was reborn into a serpent, grew, got sent back in time, aids his 'father' and directs him to the Járnviðr where he is 'reborn' again, grows once more, fights at Ragnarǫkr, gets yeeted back in time, rinse repeat. He both starts and ends at himself this way, hence 'biting his own tail'.

      No, that snake grows vary fast and fights at ragnarök. Thor hits the snake so hard that it gets send back in time. There it becomes known as jormungandr.

      You realise that the snake growed up exponentially, (giant soul and all), joined Ragnarok. Got sent back in time where he then could live his life "normally", while stile growing up.
      Also, Snakes shed there skins once in a while, can even have some slighty different motif.

    Jörmungandr's "birth" is incredibly anticlimactic and makes no sense. There's no way the snake would remember him from such a non-interaction, it didn't even look at him for more than a second.
    This also doesn't explain the mural at the end of the last game. Why would jörmungandr be depicted as being born by the screams of Loki and the soul of Kratos if that's not how he's summoned? There was some pretty strong evidence of Jorgy being Kratos too; lord knows it made more sense than this shit.
    What a waste of good characters; Jorgy being set up only to be wasted and Ateus not being the Typhon of Norse Mythology.

    • @Angel-.
      @Angel-. Год назад +8

      It could've been the giant which took over the body. in the first game Jorg just says he looks familiar and that's that. also in the mural, it would've been what would've happened if they strictly followed prophecy. What kratos and atreus did was forge their own path where they kill odin and jormungandr was not born of a woman, but was the soul of a giant.

    • @SouMorse
      @SouMorse 3 месяца назад

      the mural doesn't show Jomungandr being born from his screams lol that was a fan theory, that mural was depecting Atreus mourning his fathers death, which didn't happen cause they changed fate
