As much as I dislike Abbott, can't say he's wrong. Trying to stop illegal immigration is a legitimate goal and the fact that the federal government trying to stop Texas from achieving this goal is beyond baffling.
Abbot is just telling them to go to a port of entry . There are 28 ports of entry. Why would the Democrats be against that?

If you read up on what led up to the Civil War, you would notice we are on a similar path. Our Civil War was brought about by unscrupulous actions taken by elites of the north influencing Congress to write trade and tax laws that benefitted northern special interest groups , while placing huge burdens upon the people and businesses of the South. That is what caused the secession of states, not slavery. Slavery was on its way out and even Lincoln said as much. Today we have an unscrupulous president and democrat party that are not only placing huge burdens upon the American people with their open borders and inflation, but are also causing deaths of hundreds of thousands of American citizen and are violating national security and public safety protocols to the nth degree. It's almost like Biden and the democrats want another civil war. I believe Texas saw through this, which is why I believe Governor Abbott took all the legal steps necessary to keep Biden from using our military against Texas. Abbott has three year of documentation proving Biden purposely ignored conditions at our border. That documentation coupled to constitutional law regarding a state's rights to defend against an invasion, is the final nail in Biden's coffin.

U.S. must secure their borders and take stronger action against illegal immigration. Biden hasn't done a good job. However, I oppose certain tactics used by Abbott in Texas.
Pal, we Texans made due with what was available. All the Democrats did was call the defenses put up ‘Inhumane’.
They offered no ideas to help. They made no hurry to figure out a more human way to strengthen the border. They just criticized.
Critiquing doesn’t stop the flow of Illegal immigrants, but setting up more barricades to direct these people to the designated areas where you can officially pass the Registration test to become a legal citizen of America.
Either offer moral support for the border patrol protecting border security, offer better ideas for defenses so that we wouldn’t have to use Razor wire, or watch as Texas re-enacts the battle of Gonzales, where Texas originally became independent from Mexico.

Can't speak for any other State but I would like to give a monthly pledge to the State of Texas for protecting our border.. All that Abbott and Texas citizens are doing has to be affecting their bottom line. I know 20 plus people in Colorado Springs within my scope that would give to the cause. Denver is getting crushed being a sanctuary city and our medical system is almost bankrupt and we are seeing it now coming down to ColoradoSprings from Denver. Strength in numbers. 100,000 people giving 10.00 dollars a month is 1,000,000.00 a month to help with cost.
