  • In this episode of Mmino Wa Sione, we have a very special guest, Sipho Kekana. He's here to share his journey in the Gospel music industry, his experiences with WachuMlilo Productions, and his thoughts on the challenges facing the industry today.
One of the key topics Sipho discusses is how he met Nkosana, the founder of WachuMlilo. He talks about their initial meeting, how they started working together, and what it was like to manage WachuMlilo with and without Nkosana's involvement.
We also Have Neo Kodi in Studio, whom is a part of current WachuMlilo Production and Choir. They share the challenges of organizing events and how his relationship with his father was.
Sipho also addresses the departure of Ndumiso from WachuMlilo Productions and shares his side of the story. He also talks about how he discovered Kago and Paul and what it was like to work with them.
He also responds to allegations made by Ndumiso that he did not receive any amount from him. Sipho gives his perspective on the issue and shares his thoughts on the challenges facing the industry.
We discuss the issue of spirit and alcohol infiltrating Our Gospel music. He shares his views on how this impacts the industry and what can be done to address it.
Finally, Sipho talks about the importance of awards recognition in the industry and his ongoing efforts to fight for fair representation and acknowledgment of artists' hard work.

Gents, we appreciate this podcast and thanks for bringing Sipho on. My question is, is there any chance you could make these podcasts a bit shorter, please? 3 hours is a bit too long. Also, when you discussed the Ndumiso topic, I feel like you stretched it too much because Sipho was getting a little annoyed. He wanted to focus on the future, but you stretched it and probed him for answers that he had already given. And this could be due to the length of the interview or the discussion. Anyway, good luck gentlemen.

@@ecmadiba we are looking into that. Also we have mentioned that the reason is mostly because these stories are raw and have not been told anywhere. Sometimes 2 hours is not enough to cover them. Otherwise we will leave out most of the things

Ok, understood. Yeah that Ndumiso topic was HOT 🔥 🥵 hahaha. Thanks guys, keep it up. Next... Ndumiso and Solly Moholo please, so that we hear their versions following Sipho's and Strike Moshe's interviews. Not easy to bring people in, but we hope they will dome in. Good luck.

Sipho is a little dishonest here as far as Ndimiso is concerned. I understand that he is trying to avoid confrontation with Ndumiso, but to me it sounds like there was lack of transparency within the group in terms of finances (cashflow basically). My view is that if Ndumiso had a clear understanding of how the business was performing, then we wouldn't be in this unfortunate situation. I don't know the inns and outs of running a music business, and my opinions are not based on prior knowledge. However, I feel like if they had signed royalties agreements then this would have been avoided.
