The part that I liked most in this video, is you saying that you disconnected and recharged in Ireland. Leaving the camera off and behind can be so pleasent. Take care!^^
You should travel with a German, because they will carry the burden of organizing everything ahead of time, so that you can spend all your time filming. TSGO
Been a while since I left a comment here but damn.. your videos just keep getting better and better Nick! Once again, it felt like I was watching a movie. Keep up the great work man. Glad to see you so happy with Laura as well.
fun fact, this dutch cheesehead, living in North Germany, is watching now your awesome video with a fine glass of Talisker Storm (from the isle of Skye btw) stay safe and grts....
I could not concentrate on Scotland watching this video. I was so overwhelmed by the deep mutual love I could see in the eyes of the two of you. Go for it! You are made for each other! Believe it or not!
How does this guy only has 113k subscribers. The quality of the video, from the visuals to the story telling is just immaculate. Im just blown away by the production quality. Much love from germany ^^
I‘m a german girl and I lovelovelovelove Edinborough, the castle, the buildings, the history, Arthur‘s Seat, the people, we went there in 2012 for a few days and explored every little bit by foot. Ich glaub, wir kennen jetzt jeden Stein dort. Und jedes Schaf. 😂❤
I’m also American & my partner is German, and all Laura’s…let’s say “influences” 🇩🇪😉 are true with us. Plans, maps, insurance, trekking gear/walking. I like wandering & exploring randomly. Combining that with planned travel works out great 👍🏼 Not really your State’s thing, but dude, the comprehensively 🤔😮 NRW village Schützenfests are REALLY something to be experienced 🍻💥🎶🕺🏼🥃 🎉🤴🏼👸🏼🇩🇪
So cool! As a Canadian who is blessed by many German travel friends and an amazing Swiss German girlfriend, I can confirm your travel experience shared here. We also are heading to the Isle of Skye in early August after a quick tour of Iceland.
Great video! I went to Scotland (being a German) last year with my electric car and experienced Highland Games for the first time. It's like Bundesjugendspiele on steroids!
@@NaturalBornQuerdenker I wonder how many of his viewers are German, like me... and just about everyone who went to school in Germany knows what OP's talking about... ;-)
Man, it's been like a YEAR since I've seen a NALF video. And I didn't get my end of video theme music! I'm never coming back! You've changed man, put out a movie and now all your videos are high quality. Great work bro.
Oooh...beautiful Isle of Skye! A Friend of mine lives there with his wife. We met in Germany (at work) and had a great Time together! If you see this, Ian - i hope, you and Ruth are doing well! Thank you so much Nick for the beautiful Impressions! Wishing all the best for you 2 💞
Very cool, great pictures and moments, love the music, your girlfriend is so fun and your thoughts on life are just so true. I laughed about the passage where you said, thx to Laura you had full coverage for the "incident". We, both Germans, are about to go on our honeymoon to Scotland in a few weeks and we have a rental car with full coverage, of course. 🤣
Been in Edinburgh in 2013,stayed for a week, visited the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which was amazing. Travelled north and south of Scotland, great time. European breakfast was horrible for a German, but we survived. Loved it.
Some of my favourite places to have visited were where you went in Scotland. Was the hike after "the incident" for nature in Aviemore (Cairngorms National Park? Looked to me like there was a distant Loch that had an island with a castle ruin.
When I was in Scottland, I did do nearly everything that you did, except that I did not lay my car on its side. I just brushed one mirror on a streetlamp.
everybody hikes. I'm from the coast, now live in Berlin, and we all hike everywhere - along the beach, through the woods, around the lakes, through the city or just straight across the field. you-just-hike!
How 'Murican, NALF. Drinking Proper English Tea from a paper cup with a plastic lid! Probably to be blamed on whatever vendor that committed the blasphemy of serving tea in such a container anywhere in the UK. Apart from that, you were smiling all the time! Is it possible that you are learning to be comfortable being uncomfortable? I lived and worked in Aberdeen for almost a year in 2006 and found, much to my surprise, that driving on the wrong side of the road is actually easy, PROVIDED you are sitting in the wrong side of the car as well (the UK side). You just mirror everything.
8:44: no, we are not always, as we love to complain (even if it is a sunny day). But she already paid for the trip, so that is why she pushed through. But a german (or swabian to be precise) won't cancel the trip after payment just because of a little bit of rain :D oh and the planning part is so true. We're going on a roadtrip in september. Guess who has already planned multiple alternative routes (we'll decide spontaneously which one to take based on the local weather) last january?
You both really had this accident? And carry on driving? Well done Nick..... getrost dem Motto: ".. es gibt kein schlechtes Wetter, nur schlechte Kleidung". Sehr schön, und wieder etwas gelernt. Die Pubs sind spitze

Well, not all Germans are up for a hike the rain - my girlfriend would rather stay indoors if there's a risk of rain. But she's very good at organising things.
I really should go back to Scotland again, such a beautiful country. First trip was with my Dad and my brother. I don't know exactly where we went. Edinburgh I remember, somewhere around Loch Ness as well. We were traveling all over. Second trip was with my girlfriend (our first vacation together! :3 ) to Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, third trip with my former gf and now wife to Inverness and Glasgow. Glaswegians really are a special kind. Hard to understand because of their dialect, but friendly as hell. At least, if you come from Northern Germany, where people also are a bit "rough", which might come off as rudeness to outsiders, lol. Also, word of advice: Stay clear of those Double Chocolate Fudge Cakes that Caffè Nero sells. You'll get ADDICTED to them. Seriously, every time I visit Scotland I put on a few pounds...
Somebody give this guy his own travel show.

Having dated a German girl, I can totally confirm this is how it is. If something does not go according to plan "kleiner Spaziergang in der Natur"
she will also tell you when you are ready to marry, if at all

This was a very good video Nick!! I loved the music and the Authenticity.
The Isle of Skye is a great place to give someone a ring.
Wow, Scotland seems so impressive. Very beautiful. It's a pleasure seeing you both had a great time.
Laura seems to be the Ying to your Yang in the Asian vernacular!!! She is a keeper Nick! 🤔
I also found Scotland is the best travel destination. People are just so relaxed and kind.
A walk can easily get you in a better mood. Also on these small hills there.
I can’t believe you were in Galway, my home town! Glad you had a great time.

Haggis is great, as long as you eat it, before you find out what it is. The description puts a lot of people off, but it is actually very nice.

I've never been to Scotland, so I don't know if it is true, but it has been said that a funeral in Galway is more fun than a wedding in Edinburgh.

Belfast IS in Ireland! Ireland is the whole island - you mean Belfast is not in the Republic of Ireland, I suppose.
