NALFilein my friend, if you sneak around in the middle lane you will also be warned or punished by the German traffic police, otherwise if you are slower then please move to the right lane because the right-hand lane still applies!

But the good thing in GER is: everythings has an associated law :-)
You can only use the middle or left lane constantly, if your speed doesn‘t allow you (hopefully your speed is allowed)
to change to the middle or right(„iest“ :-)) lane for more than 20secs.

I have to apologize, you didn't seem to notice. your statement refers to stagnant traffic. otherwise this rule applies. however, you can stay in the middle lane on a 3-lane freeway, provided you occasionally drive on the far right. the 20-second rule is often called this.
As a German, I would overtake you REALLY slowly on your right, while shouting and honking at you 😂🎉

I´m from Bavaria but lived some time in Swabia. It´s a nice region with lovely people. Very open, liberal and funny. Nice cities and nice nature. I loved it.
I'm from Stuttgart living in USA. Hope soon to live in Germany as i am now 41 and haven't lived there since the age of 9.
I never ever in my live heard somebody saying swabian people are friendly :D But I am from Baden so it might be the that :D

Just buy a mobile AC unit. they cost around 250-400 Euros. Then get a sheet of plywood, cut it to the size of your window, and make a cutout for the vent tube in the middle. Then attach it to your window and attach the plywood something. I made myself little triangular wooden pieces to wedge between the plywood and the frame but you can use anything u want.

Living on the top floor of a building with no AC can be brutal at times. Did it for four years. The weather is pretty mild on the California coast, but there were a handful of days when it got hot (high 80s to low 90s) and it was impossible to sleep.

Heat. What heat? It’s still cold. There are roughly two weeks each year when an AC makes sense in Germany. And 10 weeks when the weather is ok. And 40 weeks of basically winter.

I know A/C’s aren’t common over there, and window screens aren’t either, but why not just buy them? Maybe even just a window unit to at least keep your bedroom nice and cool. I couldn’t imagine not having air and feeling sticky and irritated all day long. I know people from other countries consider an A/C a luxury item that only Americans have, but it’s totally with it and is the one thing I wouldn’t want to move to another country without. I could do without everything else, almost!

That's called a "continental climate", and it's true in the south of Germany, but of course Germany has also coastal regions with different, maritime climate.
