    The truly hardest part is finding the energy to go to the gym. But the post workout feeling is my favorite.

    I was diagnosed 1 year ago in September ive lost 56 lbs since February and my daily hikes are helping me stay mentally healthy as well.

    My mother had MS. She passed in 97 of related complications.
    I am her daughter and I teach Pilates to 2 clients with it. The art of control, a Pilates concept, is what you are touching on in this video. Thank you because I want to take care of my MS Ladies, who are some of my strongest clients.

      I am 29, two years of MS, and thanks to Pilates I am fitter and stronger than I ever been in my life. I feel that Pilates is working out "smarter, not harder" 🙂

    I was diagnosed with MS at 16 in 2002 but I can truly say the exercise and a healthy diet have changed my life and I did PiYo for a month recently which helped my balance in so many ways, too. My MRIs have been unchanged and showed no activity for 4 years straight now. I am a believer in this for sure. Especially when a neurologist took one look at my MRIs 5 years ago and said he didn’t know how I was functioning and to him they looked like a broke down car. If you have MS and are able to exercise I recommend it.

      i was also diagnosed at 16, in 2020. i wake up sooooo stiff and i can tell a difference from stretching or not. exercise is a crazy thing. fighting ✊🏻🎉

      @@Canadianlife1123 I had to do a lot...at first I couldn't really go back to work anymore and then I had to realize what I am I able to for myself and what also is over whelming for me so I would need to take my time and relax before finishing a task or I would need help in certain situations

    As a middle-age man with multiple sclerosis, I am also affected by vision loss. I could not read your slides that popped up and that’s some thing more people need to think about with Multiple Sclerosis is people who have vision issues. Thank you though.

    Thank you very much for this! I just came across these videos and tried repeating one for the legs along with the trainer in the video.. and already felt a bit relieved from my fatigue which has been otherwise making my days miserable!

    It’s very hard, I’m overweight, I’m 320 pounds, so like REALLY overweight but I’m in pain all the time and it just seems impossible to even work out. It feels impossible to even go to work let alone the gym.

    I am having MS like symptoms and have for about 4 years. My new doctor actually took my complaints seriously and got me in to see an Orthopedic Surgeon. I have had 3 MRI's (middle back, neck and brain. All three indicated something is going on. I have strength in my legs but I have a hard time standing up because my legs feel tired. I have constant pressure and heaviness feeling from my knees to my feet. I am waiting for the Neurologist to contact me to make an appointment. I really want my life back. I went from doing Martial Arts 3 days a week and going to the gym to can barely get up in the mornings.

    I was dx'd in 2003 my Jr. Year of high school. I haven't stopped strength training. Movement and training the muscles is important. But the reality of it is, this disease sometimes progresses and you can't stop it. I'm lucky to still be able to walk but have to accept that I can't go more than 100 steps with it my legs almost giving out. I've been on disease modifying drugs. These are the realities I've had to accept. I'm on ssdi and isolated at home a lot. I'm basically friendless. I miss working and basically have no positive ability to purposefully engage myself in the world. I'm learning to accept this but MS really is terrible.

    Thanks for the advice I really believe the exercise really is something very important for people living with Ms even if you can't do it do some things doing anything trying to walk it's better than not walking any movement is better than none also you have to work on those repairing those nerves and those cells cuz the muscle can't hold it by yourself you need your nerves also and that's when stem cells or any cells regenerated therapy you have to have that cuz that's the reason why you have MS does it make sense to have strong legs and don't have neurological strength for those signals to pass through cuz the more muscle you having in leg the more stronger those signals need to be that's just what my neurologist suggested for pacifically me

    Hey Jeff....I really appreciate your sincerity and enthusiasm to help those with MS....I was diagnosed with HSP.....hereditary spastic paraplegia....please....what kind of recommendations would you have for this kind of disability?

    Yeah wonderful but I’m a runner and keep falling. I won’t’ quit running so I’m having a brace because ms paralyzed my lower leg, no matter the strength and training.
    So it’s easy to tell people to move ...

    Very true! Exercise is must in case of MS also I believe Ayurvedic remedies like Ashwagandha capsules from Planet Ayurveda can help a lot.

    Hi I was wondering if you could suggest some exercise for my son. He doesn't have MS but suffers from CP and Spasticity which causes him to stiffen his joints. Are there any exercise that can loosen his muscles and help him relax. Thanks

      Hi, sorry no one responded to your comment but, the best thing would be to ask an actual doctor, or to ask for advice from a person that is diagnosed with the same since they best know what is good. But resistance training and exercise in water would most likely be helpful, surely there are new articles on the matter too, to download, so no worries 😀
