I am a Cebu native and now living in Metro Manila. Our home used to be at P. V Cabantan Street, Mabolo. I spent my childhood here until 1975 when the family transferred residence at Villaba, Leyte. In 1983 I joined the AFP and posted at the Bicol Region. In 1991 I was absorbed in the PNP and was posted first in Samar and Leyte Provinces, and deep south at BASULTA and mainland Mindanao including Mamasapano in Maguindanao Province. I retired in 2016 and now a full-time instructor at the PNPTI. Cebu where its still in my mind as a kid. These places north to south of the City which we call it before "Downtown", are very familiar to me only difference now is that the City is more progressive that it was before. I could still see the old buildings, the familiar streets like Colon and Fuente Osmena. Tourism has boomed million times and expand the economy.
We're still dreaming about that lechon! But Sarah's favorite might be the fried bananas 😋What's your favorite Filipino food?

@@twobetween Fort San Pedro hours are 8am to 5pm Mon through Sun. They literally gave you a White Privilege and the security guard opened the door ( a jar ) just only for you two to come in for "Free" and have a stroll around the Fort for free. You just saved ( 30 pesos each ) entrance fee.

Hello S & S. Roasted pig is also a chinese culture. If not mistaken spanish too has this culture
Hello! Yeah, it's pretty cool how many styles there are of the dish. We heard the filipino version is a modified version of the spanish one but haven't tried the spanish type yet
@Sarah and Seunghyun 세라와 승현 springrolls lumpia, bakso are from cantonese and fujian province (hokkien) china. I am sure when you were in Indonesia they told you about bakso. It is very common in Malaysia to find them. Bakso is just fishball or meatball noodles.

U forgot rice sirrrrr
I recent on a Food Trip in Cebu. I tried pochero, but it just taste like regular beef soup, that was reheated many times. I went to the wrong restaurant i guess. Then i went to a resto specializing in pochero, but i ordered the Humba and it taste so bad. I tried the Humba in Dumaguete and it is a bit sweet and salty. In Cebu the Humba was Fat and Vinegar. It was just sour and the fat was too much. The only great food was the Chicharon of Carcar which is so great.
That sounds like a fun trip but so sad to hear the pochero and Humba weren't very good. We also loved the Chicharon we tried near Moal Boal - Thank you for sharing and hopefully your next food trip is even tastier!
Fuente osmenia still not develop i left cebu now fuente osmenia still like that i left more than 30years
Does he always bring a metallic chopstick with him?
Haha we actually do have a silverware set with metal chopsticks in our bag (but not the flat Korean kind) 😂
Sarah looks like Margot Robbie.

Sisig don't have egg
Oh that's interesting, thank you for sharing - all the ones we tried in Cebu had egg on them
