It's amazing how this modern game only came out last month, and it already looks like it's 20 years old compared to games that came out last week. Technology is progressing so rapidly.

You know they're nearly dead because they have 16 compound fractures, an eyeball is hanging out, and you can see their skull on their forehead. If you miss attention to detail in violence/gore, DOOM Eternal did it best.
For the full first half of the video, I was sure this would be one of those kick-type videos where Dunkey does his kick move on absolutely everyone in the game

This game was fire. I remember buying it from EB Games and getting pissed at the club level. This was one of my favorite games. The dope flips you could do, the glaive, the guns. I loved this game so much.
The light grenades being included in the game is so awesome, I would replay the club level after you unlock the grenades just to clear out the big dance floor with one grenade 😂
Damn, Dunkey once again making me remember games from my childhood that I had completely forgotten about. I used to love the combat in this game even though it was so clunky lmao

A lot of old made for tv/movie games had this kind of thing going on. I remember the Xena game for PS One where you could throw the Chakram from the start of the level and kill every enemy one by one if you had the patience for it. The only exceptions were enemies triggered by proximity, which, in most cases, meant trigger them, back up, and start throwing.
I always liked the story of how the devs only had the license to use Wesley Snipe's likeliness on the cover, so the Blade character model in-game has extra facial/mustache to make him look less like Snipes.
Blade 1 and 2 are some of my fav nostalgic movies. Glad the game is getting some coverage. crazy actually that so many people havnt even seen the movies

You know in Ghostrider for the PS2 you can unlock Blade and play as him. It really makes you feel like you’ve wasted your time unlocking him,not just accidentally.
A lot of people had misgivings about the latest AAA game releases, but Blade II proves that the industry is not ready to go down yet. Truly one of the games ever.
This was my favorite movie growing up. My gamertag (McDayWalker) is based on the Daywalker name given to blade, and I’ve had that gamer tag for over a decade now. So nostalgic for me, thank you!
I remember being such a huge blade fan growing up that when I found out there was a blade 2 game I rented it and played it so much I hid it from my dad when it had to be returned… I made it about a week before he found it under my bed lol
The goofy boomerang is very similar in function to the Shuriken from Jet Force Gemini, including the features of locking onto and homing in on targets, and easily cheesing long rows of enemies that don't seem to want to move out of the way. The JFG Shuriken had the added benefit of going through shields, making the already silly decapitations even funnier when they started happening to some of the most obnoxious enemies in the game.
I went out immediately to my local DVD store to buy Blade II on DVD after watching this video... Only to find that the DVD store no longer exists. Where did the good times go?
I'm glad after 21 years this game is finally getting the recognition it deserves. It's so exciting.
