"....employing newspaper collage, ADHD, and a brazen disregard for holiday tradition." 🤣 I enjoyed watching your creative process! You captured a sense of atmosphere and mystery. I like the subtle suggestion of the tree overlaying the images and the textured effect on the card from the gelli plate impression. Did you use watercolor paper?
Hey, thanks so much! I used a mixed media paper for a bunch of the cards, and then this generic pre-cut card stock from Blick for others. Both worked decently, although there was quite a bit of warping (maybe I could have done things more intelligently to avoid that, I'm not sure). It was a fun time, anyway - thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate the kind words. I'm sure I'll do more collage experiments in the future!
@@edlundart Thank you for describing your paper choices. Perhaps placing the cards under some heavy books or using a flower press may help with the warping. I've done this in the past and placed wax paper on top of the collaged image to protect it while it was being pressed and it worked well. I'll look forward to future projects. I subscribed!
@@kristinab1078 Those sound like good ideas, I'll definitely try that next time around! And thanks for subscribing - my content is a bit all over the (art) map, but I hope you'll find it worthwhile until my next collage session comes around.
The cards are mini works of art! Bravo🎉
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
