Update: I now have: Atomic Rose by Initio Parfums, Carner by Tardes, Hibiscus Palm by Aeris, French leather by Memo ( I gave it out), Lalibela by Memo. Somehow my skin chemistry did not agree with Rouge Malachite and I am the 1% that does not like Baccarat rouge 540 by MFK and inclined more towards Gentle fluidity gold and Pluriel which I love
Same as you, I don’t like baccarate rouge but I adooore Gentle fluidity gold, did you like atomic rose by initio ? Because I want to blind buy it but i’m scared
I just got Tardes after watching your video and have been wearing it for a month non stop. I am not a big fan of the opening, but obsessed with the dry down. And i got so much compliments~ i would say that's my best buy this year. Thank you!!
Rouge Malachite is on my list as a birthday gift to myself, have been rationing my decant. The bottle is also gorgeous 🥰 I love Lalibela as well....can’t wait to own one of those beautiful Memo bottles; they are art in themselves!
I hear you Kelly, I've been doing the same with my sample haha. I do adore Memo packaging... I would collect all fragrances just to display them, they're soo pretty...
Nooo don’t wait! Get Malachite Rouge at 13k. 😋 Yes I agree Milano is very special. The leather is very inviting, you just want to smell it over and over.
Everytime I wear atomic rose, I expect compliments because of all the hype. Still waiting😐....I get way more compliments with delina even though atomic rose is said to have more projection
The most fascinating thing about Initio's 'Atomic Rose' is how they've flipped the dry down and 'fireworks' of the initial opening! Usually a fragrance opens with a kaleidescopic 'zing' and then mellows out to the heart and base note marathon. So you'd get the rhubarb, rose tartness to begin with before drying down to a more solid, 'darker', sweeter base for the long run but somehow the nose behind Atomic Rose has managed to do a magic trick in the lab! Atomic Rose's opening and mid-play is with what I HOPED would be a linear olfactory experience for me, but no-- the dry down is almost identical to Parfums de Marly's 'Delina'. It's absolutely incredible. How on earth do you do that, chemically speaking?! How do you make tart, crisp notes like rhubarb and lemony rose the base? It kind of comes out of nowhere too, it's quite an unexpected thrill. Chemically speaking, how on earth do you 'flip' a fragrance like this, y'know, so the base and heart are actually at the top of the pyramid and the classic 'top' emerges far later as the surprise base?! Love to see a video of someone interviewing the creator and asking him or her how they did this. :)
I just want to say that you are by far my most looked forward to youtuber- I really trust your judgement and feel like you describe fragrances well without any faff- thank you
My favorite is portrait of a lady. It works with my body. chemistry. Got a lot of compliments and it last until the next day. Hope you can review my favorite scent.
I have French leather by memo. Very good rose 🌹 but not for everyone. Smell very sophisticated. Monster proyection. Last after shower. The quality is over the top.
This time two years ago you bailed me out for my wife's gift at Liberty's in London. Thanks again! Just purchased the Georgio Armani and Aerin from Selfridges. Any other recommendations - must-buys? Glad to see the channel is doing really well!
After seeing so many videos about Baccarat Rouge I ran to my closest store to try it out and I just couldn’t smell anything!! I have never had this with any other perfume… it’s the weirdest thing. The only thing I did smell the moment I sprayed it on my wrist is the smell of Bedadine, that deep red/ orange liquid we normally apply on wounds. Such a bummer though. I will give it another try one of these days and go and try it again who knows maybe my nose picks up something..
Your recommendations are always great. I picked up the Hermes garden scent the other day you recommended and it’s so good. I love the magnolia note. I have too many on my wish list now.
Im waiting on my 8ml Tardes from scentbird this month; everything you said got me excited that i made the right choice...then you said dolls head and I got horror movie scared 😂
Rose is a note even used in men's fragrances, but my nose can't find it appealing, at least not yet. Maybe I have some unconscious negative associations (e.g. funerals,) not sure. Just today I smelled a great fragrance: Voyage de Hermes Parfum. Great citric/orange peel-like opening, but the dry down with the rose reminded me of Cartier Declaration d'un Soir. Not that they are too similar, but the rose alone puts them together in a cluster that is definitely not for me to wear. Same happens with Habit Rouge actually. Portrait of a Lady is in my sampling wish list, to see if it changes my perspective on rose.
I concur with you, my rose can never get used to rose. I associate Rose to an aunt who lived in England for years then returned to Jamaica. Everything in her house had a rose smell, soaps, lotions, air freshner, teas it was rose overkill.
I agree finding the right rose fragrance can be very tricky... I've smelled a lot in the last year and only a handful I like to wear. It's really depends on your personal preference so totally understand.
Jos, only few reviewers in YT English does frag imaging while reviews but you do it very well....n it's a hidden talent many yet to try instead reading news hahahaha
Hi Josephine. Love your videos 😊. My all time favourite scents are Guerlain L'heure Bleue, Frederic Malle L'eau D'Hiver, Diptyque Eau Duelle and a newer addition would be Eight & Bob Nuit de Megeve. Big love for all of these!
I know...so many beautiful fragrances to buy. I have a sample of the Memo Lalibela that you love. I popped it on after watching your video and it is gorgeous. Not like anything else I've tried. On the list it goes 🤭
Do you have a very slight French accent? I might be wrong, English is my second language, so I don't always pick up light accents. But you seem to know how to pronounce French word too.
Awesome list, Josephine!! Baccarat Rouge 540 is one of my favourite fragrances too, it's so alluring imo... 🥰😻 I'd love to try Tardes, Jasmine Rouge and Hibiscus Palm next! 🤩😘
@@jusderose I saw that one I loved it but more videos like that on notes would be great I know though it has to generate views in order to do more videos like that
I'd love to try French leather as I think I could really like it. I tried a few Memo fragrances during my holidays. I really enjoyed Ocean leather but especially Eau de Memo had my heart. 🥰 Lalibela didn't work for me unfortunately. There was something with the coconut note that didn't worked on me. 😔 This year my summer feminine scents were Memo Inlé, Guerlain Terracotta and Aerin Hibiscus palm 😉
Oh gosh Eau de Memo is soo great! I think this is going to be my next Memo addition.. so many to add! Love your summer picks... Terracotta is so wonderful!
Dear Josephine, that‘s a great collection! I contemplate to buy Milano. I wonder if it is feminine enough for me... As leathery fragrances I love for example Bottega Veneta. My ultimate feminine fragrance is Rouge Malachite. Is Milano rather sweet ( like e.g. Baccarat Rouge)? Thank you ☺️
Hi! Milano is completely unisex and a woman can pull it off definitely. Not too sweet and not close to BR in terms of sweetness. There’s a sample set available on the FDB website I believe they have Milano in it 😊
Esprit d'Oscar by Oscar de la Renta is my absolute favorite fragrance marketed for women. It smells so lovey to me. I guess it’s kind of my version of your love for Azzaro Chrome.

Thank you so much :) It's alright - it smells like a dupe for Classique by Jean Paul Gaultier which I adore! I wouldn't splurge on a niche price though... better go for the more affordable option as both fragrances are very similar.
Hi Josephine! I love so soo sooo much your videos. Thank you so much for your suggestions. They are all beautiful! We have similar likes, and you are a referent to me. I'm intrigue with French Leather by Memo (I have in my collection Lalibela and it's one of my favorites parfums) and now too with Atomic Rose. Kisses from Spain and have a beautiful summer time! 🐠🍹⛱️

I watch your videos just to hear you pronounce the names. You are absolutely 100% class and sophistication.
Thank you!
Hi Josephine, could you show us all of your collection once? Like a quick shot of your shelf. Just curious 😁
I may yes!
Atomic rose smells really captivating! I am not a fan of rose scent in genereal and I always avoid it, but this one is really well balanced.
Completely agree!

Atomic Rose smells like a masculine version of Delina. It has Vetiver and for women who don’t want to smell masculine, it’s not a good blind buy.

That makes me so happy! I have both too 🥰

What are some good quarantine frags? Things that you like wearing at home to feel cozy
Hmmm... good question. Santal Basmati by affinessence is a great one, gorgeous creamy sandalwood that smells of a vanilla rice pudding :)
Just getting into your channel and I absolutely love your videos. Your descriptors are so spot on! Thank you ♥️
