I saw the factory where they make these here in the U.S. Love these videos on new tech thats being applied in real world situations. Cant wait for a Boxable update.
FYI we are in our 70s and can hardly wait for full self driving. Lots of seniors don't drive so well and have a hard time at night. FSD empowers us. We travel a lot. FSD is 20 times safer than we are. Who wants to wreck their car or get tickets. In some places they give tickets to you for being from out of state. Pretty hard to ticket a machine that always follows the law and has a recording. This taxi is cool. It will help aot of people who can't or shouldn't drive.
Thanks for sharing this emerging rideshare capability with us Ellie. It'll be interesting to see if it can compete with the likes of Uber in due course.
Some questions I wish had been asked. What does this thing do if involved with a road rager? What happens when, and it will have accidents? Passenger emergency. Will it sit and wait for an ambulance or drive to the nearest hospital? Will an adult always be required if a child rides? I can see these being used to get kids to school. Are people with disabilities with a certified dog allowed? Still a great look into the near future.
I drive very carefully. I'm not a good driver, just a careful one. I always let everyone go ahead. Don't mind people cutting in front of my. I drive slowly so cutting usually isn't even an issue. I NEVER have issues with road ragers. I imagine it'd be the same for robo cars.
@@ampa4989 You're lucky. Sometimes the ragers just want you out of their way, so they can get a couple of car lengths ahead, in busy traffic. We need to get THEM off the road, children who haven't mastered their emotions. How often are they operating huge pick-up trucks ?
Very nice looking car inside the car look like business class seats and car doors look like metro train doors and autanamous driving vehicle i wish this will successful in market

I think true Sci-Fi future begins with autonomous vehicles. I wonder, how soon til 50% of all cargo that was transported on trucks will switch to autonomous? 12-15 years, maybe?
I would much prefer to ride like this facing family or friends to replace my car completely. But it makes less sense with Uber style taxiing with random people as you don’t need to face them.. though I suppose buses and trains still have that layout often and it seems fine.
Form factor it looks more suited for a Boring Tunnel then the current Tesla vehicle. The Boring Tunnel definitely need to think about a personal transport pod that much easier to get in and out of, as opposed to a conventional car. Unless the whole point of the Boring Tunnels is to familiarise people to teslas vehicles, just like what IBM did with there typewriter in the typing classrooms.
So reality it looks creepy and does Scare people. So What we do is Put a Happy Choo choo ding ding trolly Frame around the "death bot esthetic." So it's happy and not CREEPY

These designs where passengers all face each other aren't safe, in a serious accident there will be carnage in the cabin. Typical Bezos bs, appealing to gullible people with convenience but not making safety the top priority. What's the point of the cheap price when you're missing your teeth later?

It's nice to see that it isn't just Elon bringing the future faster. Thanks Ellie.

I’ve been following Zoox for awhile. Aicha Evans, it’s CEO, is a Rockstar.
Really cool to see it come to fruition after a decade of work!
very cool! Love the open space robo taxis have. Hope they get real some time where I live too. Thx for the great vid.
Nice work Ellie! Getting this very cool story! It has been a while since hearing news of Zoox. I want a ride!
Cool. Maybe some time in the future they can attach a giant done on top of it. So it can fly.
Gad Zoox!
Looks like fun!
The main demand would be for those with mobility challenges. Does Zoox vehicles have a ramp for wheel chair access?
Cheyanne is the perfect spokesperson. Thanks for bringing us this news Elliie.
Nice! You’re looking great Ellie!
Thanks, Ellie! The shape makes sense for a long range mini RV. If it had Tesla software.
You Ellie and Mr., Angry which he's always, Not, are so cool!
Incrível adoro seus vídeos sucesso sempre grata por poder assistir
Thanks!
I hope Zoox will launch in sf soon :) Cant wait to try it out. I already tried Waymo and Cruise
Could this handle a Midwest winter storm? Or would this be like the rental scooters when a foot of snow falls?
Awsome, Highlander😊
Thanks Ellie…..Zoox spokesperson did a great job.

Absolutely! Thank you for watching as always
Zoox a subsidiary of Amazon so I assume some great Blackberry QNX tech and possibly Qualcomm in that Ride

Hi Ellie
Try it at Disneyland. 😊
Hi Ellie Hope your having fun in Vegas, get me a Raiders Tee shirt : P XXT j/k so was the sound system as good as your Tesla?
Zoox would work out really great in Mesa Airazona due to all the RV parks with the older "non driving" population!

The front of the bus or the rear of the bus have to crumple, first, before reaching you.
I’m going to be working for them soon
I hope they do great but after the GM cruise fiasco, i think it will take a bit of convincing to get some of us to try it out.
Good job E , looking good by the way 🙏🙏🙏🌷🌹🙏💞💋💋
I've seen videos of the Chinese version which looks like it's already on the road.😊
✌️Cool 😎
What cities are these running in? Anyone know?
How do you prevent burglary or carjacking?
Why its doesn't been offer as a private car first?
What will make the autonomous car in demand is the cost of insurance determined by it's safety record.
I’m sure this won’t be a popular observation, but that taxi would make a lot more sense in the Vegas tunnels than the Teslas.
I think the Boring Company had an early video featuring something like this.
this would be perfect for the school bus industry
How many trips do you think it would take to transport school kids with a vehicle that can only carry 4?
hmm I wonder if elon would be interested in some of them. These would ne per4fect for the tunnel projects
It would be amazing if it has HEPA filters inside
👍
A Johnny Cab!!

A pipe dream.
Take me to your leader.
“4 wheel steering on all 4 wheels”?
Im in
I'm more interested in regional ownership and operation.
Let's see if California allows this thing to roam their streets
I bet they don't
They have been testing on CA roads since 2022
@@ellieinspace Testing is not licensed - humongous difference.
How is this different from any other 'waymo' ... expect mediocre results.
I would like to see it in a crash test with crash dummies. I looks very dangerous and not much support for neck and head injuries.
Bet they got remote manual control. Let's hope the guy driving doesn't GTA it😅
Its already in China
Order ride pre-loaded with escort 👍🏻
Doesn't know about Tesla? Does that mean he's ignoring the competition (which would be a mistake) or he's lying?😮
You know it should Look like Cinderellas Carriage. But i'm a real human so meehh
Lost me at, "You would download the Zoox app...."
Its not gone work as yuo think ,if work at all , the thibg is yuo need to build a market yet
fine for you not for me i dont trust it i drive myself besides cities suck
Maybe a L track in vegas for them, since Elon is underground
Not cool . No way Not gonna do it ! Ain’t gonna make it ! DUD !! OMG !! Noooooo!

shut up. who gave you the power of the city to say we'll let you do that outside of the city lol
Daily reminder. Ellie is a smoke show. That is all.
