      Oh god yeah that is worrying. I’m hoping the site I’m on at the min is a build out so be there for another 6 months. Then there’s another job where ground workers have started already. But anything can happen! If they aren’t selling they will soon stop 😬😬

    How far off the block work do you set your first & last joist at? 50mm

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  Год назад

      We set the first joist 35mm off the block which is the thickness of the 3x2 we use so it’s set up ready for straps. Hope that helps! Cheers for your comment 💪

    What do you do if it starts hammering it down with rain, I did a set on Monday when it was terrible rain and a couple of days later my ppn gun has a solid red light? What could that be?

      Do you mean like where the stair well trimmer is? I just measure 800mm off the last joists (not the actual stair well trimmed) so then it runs in for boards. Or 1200mm if it’s 600 centres. I wanted to get a clip of that but brickys had radio on and forgot later on 👎

    • @bmxerboynathan

    Wait, unlike others you didn't slide a 6" level across the finished job so how are we to believe its done right?🤣
    Nice job, do you work for a contractor or direct to the builder? Looks like you'd handle that site yourself.

      @@markb1971all the roofing chippies are the same 'havent got the gear for 2nd fix', truth is they usually can't cut the mustard!
      I've been a chippy on site for 26 years and I've always been told to do everything otherwise you limit yourself to what work is available, one day I'm roofing the next fitting kitchens, saying you haven't got the gear is a cop out, if their nail gun broke they'd buy another.
      It's a bit like being a bricklayer but you don't do gables 🤔
