We should've had one a year and a half ago. In lore, the Thargoids have been engaged in a civil war for over a millennia, with two dynasties, the Klaxians and the Oresrians, fighting each other for unknown reasons. The Oresrians are slowly losing the war, and decided to make a tactical retreat through the human bubble, using us essentially as a meat shield against the Klaxians. It would have been WAY cooler if we could have had a 3-way war between the Klaxians, Oresrians, and Humans where players were given the option to side with one of the Thargoid dynasties instead. Perhaps the Klaxians would offer better Thargoid-based weapons, while the Oresrians would offer other tech, maybe a Thargoid Hybrid Shield or something, idk, and then the Humans could still offer Guardian-derived tech. It simply would've been far more interesting than Salvation blundering all of humanity into a one-sided war.
