    GUYS... I literally just had the realization that this might have been the last video I shoot in this current studio! I am due to move next week and where we are moving, I will have an all new built out studio space to make content in and while that will hopefully be super awesome.. I cant help but feel a bit sad. I have spent 4 years making content in this house and making hair products actually. This will be a big change.. but I think you guys are going to love it! ONWARD WE GO!

      @@MMTV I'm in no means negatively critizing you but actually positively critizing a point that maybe... Just maybe.. could help.. and it's from a "viewer's perspective"
      Try making the content more relateable, products (hair or other things) that are more so on the common usage of the population.
      Reviewing a product out of the world market and heavily condensed in Asian market would not per say be an attractive watch for most of us.
      Also imo making those "top products of 2019, 2020".. "top hair products for summer" might give you a... "Kick" of viewer base until you get things further in your business.

    Actually, in my country, Volcanic clay is the common wax for newbie, I mean the group of people who just start to use styling wax because of its heavy hold. However, those who have used Volcanic clay for a certain period of time tend to shift towards using a more expensive one,like Cavalier clay or Kevin Murphy Rough Rider. This is because using Volcanic clay for a long time can have a negative effect on our hair, it is too dry

    • @MMTV
      @MMTV  4 года назад

      I can see that point simply for the pliability issue that I outlined. I’d go for cavalier personally still. I didn’t however feel like it made my hair TOO dry. I think there are products out there that have been drier, and not washed out as easy, leaving it dry after a rinse even.

    Hey Mike, here for a question about Dauntless. I’ve just cut myself a nice textured crew cut. I’m looking for a product that has enough hold and texture to for it to look matte and texturized throughout the day, and I want to try a product from the Dauntless line. Which one would you recommend?

    • @MMTV
      @MMTV  4 года назад

      If you want a matte finish I’d go with the matte paste. It’s also the only product I label as having texture from clays. The pomade is not in that category obviously, and the wax cream has great hold, awesome versatility, but it’s a natural finish not matte.

    • @khoile1739
      @khoile1739 4 года назад

      Modern Man TV Thanks man, will get one from my local distributor first thing tomorrow. The scent profile looks really good also. I’m really into fragrances so excited to see how the scent of the products smell like.

    @harrisonrichards4357 4 года назад +1

    Will dauntless be releasing a clay ?

    • @MMTV
      @MMTV  4 года назад

      Harrison Richards possibly! I’m not closing the door on it as of now. Initially my matte paste was formulated as a clay, however later on I decided to give it a creamier scoop and call it matte paste, just in case later I wanted to make another clay. For me the matte paste has several clay characteristics tho so it’s kinda just one of those same old things where we go back to the real differences between clays/matte pastes. When you break it down there’s not much difference, except for the case of the heavy clay. If your asking about a heavy clay, then I don’t yet have a formula nailed down, but I haven’t given up my interest yet either.

    This is the cheaper version of Kevin Murphy Rough Rider (but water based so it’s washed out easier), but Volcanic Clay is fantastic at forward quif. Both are hell to my hair type-thick dry hair but they are national icon in Vietnam. But I think next time you review stuff dry like Volcanic Clay, KMRR, Odouds, why don’t wear a helmet? Let’s see how many percent could the style go back to after 15 mins helmet

    • @MMTV
      @MMTV  4 года назад +1

      I don’t generally wear a helmet haha. I realize that might be someone others do, especially in other countries but that’s not quite feasible for me haha. Plus it’s not quite fair either. It would be like putting a hat on and then faulting the product for the effect of the hat.

    • @thienho7426
      @thienho7426 4 года назад

      I think it’s not about faulting the product but that is to see how reworkable it is. Volcanic Clay and Cavalier Clay are among products with that easy reworkability. In my country people usually spend 30 mins wearing helmet per day for casual travelling. So it’s an important feature to look good both before and after the moving.

    What is a good clay to use on slightly damp hair? Thanks.

    • @MMTV
      @MMTV  4 года назад

      ibby81ae well you can use pretty much any clay on damp hair. I don’t style that way usually tho so if your asking if there’s a clay out there that gives the same results on damp hair, as it does on dry, then I don’t know of any. Generally when styling on damp hair, when using a clay anyway, your restricting some of the results with the slight dampness because instead of the clays going to work to provide all the attributes they can provide ( volume, texture, etc) they first have to goto work to absorb the water that’s in your hair, and then try to display the clay effects. You will see some, but not as much as dry hair and that’s why I always do it.

    • @MMTV

      I’ve explored this with a viewer from Instagram actually. We looked at the labels side by side and they don’t have the same ingredients. Can’t be white label if there’s not another product with the same ingredients in the same order. If I find one I’m happy to make a video about it as I have with other white label products, but I can’t just call something white label because some folks feel like it is. I’ve seen the labels haha they don’t say the same things.

      Thái Đinh there’s been brands that have started out doing white label and then switched so you could be correct. I actually appreciate that more when they do that because it shows they care about not being a white label brand. I also am really glad your liking my products too that’s incredible to hear.
