Modern Man TV I’m not bullshit u man honestly it feels amazing in fine straight hair. I’m really impressed and amazed. 16$ which is like £13 I feel is an excellent price. My go to now and I have tried tons of products. Only massive negative is the shipping so overall it’s bittersweet.
I do have good news there actually, this week I will be shipping some cornerstone to the slickboys in the UK. I’m so glad you enjoy it! It really makes me happy when I hear my projects work for people.
@@droesw Well, I have been using it since I wrote the comment and found out than my hair definitelly have more volume and are easier to style when using the product. Also I ran out of the single can I got like a week ago. So I can easily recommend it. Hope it helps
Mike I can totally agree with your thoughts and opinion about the monarch . I have medium thick and slight coarse hair. Monarch never works well for me and I usually pre style with original to work it out. And for the ascend pre styler i am pretty sure it wont give me the result due to my hair type. Many youtubers criticize ascend for not delivering result eventhough it was meant and made for thinner hair type. (It was cleary explained by joe) Good reviews as usual.keep it up
This combo is okish. I think acend is quite weak and does almost nothing other than adding sleekness honestly. And monarch has a terrible scent first off and has more of a control with a type of oiliness rather than hold. With a matte paste I expect some dryness of some level and tacky hold, this has none in my opinion. Also when there is multiple clays involved in a formula I like to see texture that's not simply separation because of oil control. Just my opinion but my hair is probably a normal to finer but dense type. I would use dauntless over monarch in every aspect, again just my opinion based on products and outcome not bias.

Also btw, I ordered cornerstone and tribute and have been trying them out for about a week together and separately. I really like tribute and the hold it gives with minimum shine. But man, dude, cornerstone....... Seriously, the best prestyler I have ever used. I have such heavy thick hair with a forward growth pattern, pretty much keeping it up for an extended period of time can be difficult. I have been trying cornerstone with a few products, currently am using it with templeton tonics oasis and man its amazing. I am getting more hold with this combo then I was with "stronger" hold products and hairspray (which I hate). I love how cornerstone just amps up every products its combined with. Excited to see what else you come out with, probably will get your matte paste or wax to try with cornerstone, and I'll make sure to keep telling/recommending to people your products!

Hey Mike, I have fine hair and style my hair exactly how yours is in this video (not in the part where you show the combo in action, but where you're seen talking). I've been having a hell of a time trying to find a prestyler that will give my hair proper volume. It's fine, and straight/totally flat in its natural state. I tried Brickell sea salt spray, which doesn't do a damn thing. My go to ever since I found it is "TRESemme Thermal Creations Volumizing Mousse", which I buy from the drugstore. It's OK, it's added to damp hair and blowdried.... but still doesn't provide enough volume hold for the post-styler (cavalier clay). Cavalier clay is probably too heavy for my hair, but I like the hold that it provides compared to the rest of the blumaan lineup. My question for you is, do you think the ascend cream or original meraki would be a better pre-styler for me? Thanks.

My hair works just like most it has a flatter side (right to left) and a more volumized size (left to right). When my hair is this short however, it won’t style my usual way of going to the left, it just sticks straight up if I do it now haha so I have to go to the right until it grows a bit more.
lemme help here *knuckle crack* you see in the ascend version there is less falling on the left side? it also has the resemblance of a nice mountain peak there in the center. Notice also then in the natural example how you dont have that, its flatter in the center and its falling more on the left side. There you go! Your very welcome btw. I must be dense because I don't get this "$20 but didn't get a haircut," thing...ha, anyways...I belong to the fine/thin hair camp and Ascend didn't do it for me. Not a lot of that "soft & lifted," -type results as advertised. A little lift, a little thickening, but a drier/crispy result. Which, didn't allow some products to play nice. I picked up Monarch during Cyber Monday and I like how it works, but I cannot get past the scent. It's soap.
Since haircuts are technically banned right now due to the closing of things like salons, I had to go through less honorable means of procuring said haircut... allegedly

I was a tester for this product before the release ( both ascend and monarch) then I tested the final formulas on each for the release, then again for my review videos, then I’ve been using them in my own time, and then tested again for this video. I think that qualifies as a lot.
